Hye-rin woke earlier than usual, partly because of the sunlight, partly because her mind was still catching up to the fact that she was now… married. Fake married, yes — but standing in Joon-hyuk's mansion, wearing his oversized T-shirt as pajamas, the distinction felt blurry.
She stretched, yawned, and padded out of the room quietly.
The smell hit her first — something warm, buttery, almost… domestic.
Her eyes widened.
Lee Joon-hyuk, CEO of LK Group, was in the kitchen wearing rolled-up sleeves, hair still a little messy from sleep, flipping eggs in a pan like a newlywed husband from a drama.
"Good morning," he said without looking back, voice low and casual. "Sit."
She blinked. "You're… cooking?"
"No. I'm summoning breakfast spirits," he deadpanned, plating food. "Of course I'm cooking."
She sat down slowly. "You really didn't have to—"
He placed the plate in front of her. "You didn't eat much yesterday. It's your first day coming to work as Mrs. Lee. You need strength."
