Chapter 25 - Chapter 25: Gu Yue's Arrival, the Abyss Legion!

Chapter 25: Gu Yue's Arrival, the Abyss Legion!

"I see. Then let's all keep our voices down."

Upon hearing this, Na'er's ethereal voice instantly dropped, even her pace slowing.

In the sunlight, Na'er was dressed in a white dress, her silver hair cascading down her shoulders, her violet eyes full of spirit. Compared to four years ago, Na'er now exuded even more youthful charm.

"Actually... Na'er, the rooms in our Benti Sect are well soundproofed. There's no need to be so cautious. I was just reminding you not to knock on my junior brother's door."

Seeing this, a flicker of embarrassment crossed the tall, sturdy young man's honest face, and he scratched his head.

He was none other than Muye's eldest disciple, Jiang Xiu's senior brother, A Ruheng. His martial spirit was the Benti Sect's most elite martial spirit.

Four years ago, after the Benti Sect's headquarters was confirmed, Muye had brought A Ruheng with him.

"Why don't you go to the hall and rest for a bit?"

Ah Ruheng asked, as if it were normal. Ever since arriving here, Na'er had often visited his junior brother, Jiang Xiu—if not seven days a week, then at least six.

"It's okay, I'll wait for him here."

Na'er shook her head, her beautiful eyes gleaming. She sat on a wooden post outside Jiang Xiu's house, her fair legs swinging back and forth, her gaze fixed on Jiang Xiu's door.

"Alright, I'll go train first,"

Ah Ruheng shrugged, then headed towards the medicinal bath, a faint sense of urgency still lingering within him.

He had once believed himself a unique genius, but after arriving in Shrek City and meeting Jiang Xiu and Na'er, he finally understood what genius meant. At his age, he was far inferior to them.

Sometimes, he couldn't help but wonder if the two were secretly involved in something...

However, he didn't harbor any jealousy; he simply saw them as inspiration.

"Listen to Master. Practice to death as long as you don't die!"

Ah Ruheng encouraged himself, then resolutely stepped into the new medicinal bath Muye had prepared for him.

"Jiang Xiu, why haven't you come out yet?"

After a moment, Na'er's lips curled up, a trace of confusion and a sigh in her beautiful eyes.

She wasn't usually this impatient, but this morning her Master Leng Yaozhu had told her that the East China Sea Spirit Pagoda had discovered a genius and wanted to personally investigate.

That wasn't a big deal, but what really shocked Na'er was that the genius's name was Gu Yue!

"Why doesn't this guy just stay in the Star Dou Great Forest? He clearly took away 70% of the power, but instead of practicing, he's wandering around in the human world. Could it be that I took away too much wisdom?"

Na'er whispered to herself. She didn't understand why Gu Yue had come to the Spirit Pagoda, but a strange sense of anxiety welled up in her heart.

"Never mind, we'll know when the time comes."

Na'er sighed softly, shaking her head to clear her mind of confusion.

Because her master would be taking her with him when he went to the East China Sea Spirit Pagoda tomorrow, she had come to Jiang Xiu today to ask him to go with her.

"Master Lao! It's your turn to protect your younger brother, Na'er!"

Na'er clenched her fists, her beautiful eyes gleaming with anticipation.

In Jiang Xiu's room, he sat cross-legged on his bed, a thick dark energy emanating from him, his consciousness having long since sunk into the abyssal plane.

The seventy-sixth level of the Abyss.

Black smoke billowed, blood splattered, and roars mingled with the sounds of fighting. Countless dark shadows loomed on the ground.

"Push forward! Push forward!"

Within the dark realm of the monarch, Jiang Xiu's bloodshot eyes shone with composure. He brandished his straight blade, commanding the vast army of shadows around him to charge forward.

In front of the shadow army stood a gigantic Abyss Ant, as large as a soul-guided armored vehicle. Its sharp mouthparts glowed faintly, and its dark purple body was covered in hard, armored shells.

Most astonishingly, the giant Abyss Ant's back bore seven dark yellow lines. The aura it exuded was that of a human soul master, a seventh-ringed Soul Saint.

Even within its fierce eyes, a hint of intelligence lingered.

"Hiss, hiss, hiss!"

Under Jiang Xiu's command, the Shadow Army fought fearlessly, their scarlet eyes brimming with murderous intent. Those charging in the front radiated the energy of Soul Masters and Soul Priests.

"Crack! Crack!"

The giant Abyss Ant's mouthparts opened and closed, instantly slaying Shadow Soldiers one by one. These Shadow Soldiers were a mere crunch to the Abyss Ant.

However, each Shadow Soldiers left a mark on the giant Abyss Ant before dying. After their death, they transformed into streams of air, resurrecting from Jiang Xiu's Monarch Realm and continuing their charge, albeit slightly weaker than before.

Jiang Xiu watched this scene unfold without any anxiety. After four years of growth, his Shadow Army had grown to nearly seven thousand!

Even though two-thirds of these seven thousand Shadow Soldiers were below the level of Great Soul Masters, even though they were only a tiny fraction of the vast Ant Emperor clan, this was still a Shadow Army that had taken shape.

"Seven thousand to one, the advantage is mine!"

Jiang Xiu remained calm as he watched the giant Abyss Ants engage in a relentless battle. While his Shadow Army hadn't yet shown its strength in quality, its numbers were already showing.

"Oh no! Why are they getting more and more!"

A grim thought crossed the giant Abyss Ant's mind as it watched the Shadow Soldiers surge toward it like a dark torrent.

At its power level, while lacking intelligence, it had already begun to possess its own instincts.

These Shadow Soldiers possessed no life force, and the more it killed, the more cracks appeared in its hard shell. He couldn't help but harbor thoughts of retreat.

"Looks like the time has come."

Watching the Abyss Ants preparing to retreat, Jiang Xiu's gaze shifted, and he swung his blade forward.

Twenty larger Shadow Abyss Ants within the King's Domain slowly rose like a stream, each emanating an aura comparable to that of a Soul King.

"Shadow group, charge!"

With Jiang Xiu's command, the army of twenty shadow soldiers instantly dispersed into the shadow torrent, continuously attacking the giant Abyss Ant.

In summary, there were three.

"If you weren't afraid of attracting attention, you would have been finished long ago."

Looking at the gradually submerged Soul Saint-level Abyss Ant, Jiang Xiu nodded slightly with satisfaction.

This time, he did not send out the entire shadow army to encircle this Abyss Ant, but only sent out a third.

"Ant Emperor, Spirit Emperor, you would never imagine that the 76th layer of the Abyss has gradually changed its name to Jiang."
