"He's so majestic!"
On the ground below, Dane watched the scene with sarcastic remarks, while the Guardians' faces were grim.
"As expected of the greatest Green Lantern, his strength and dominance are beyond words."
Dane seemed to be testing the Little Blue People's bottom line, constantly provoking their currently fragile nerves.
However, the Little Blue People, being ruthless individuals who had purged their emotions, completely ignored Dane's taunts.
Ganthet, instead, asked him very seriously, "You said earlier that you were willing to help us. Does that still hold true?"
"Of course, it always holds true." Dane revealed a sly merchant's smile, "But you should understand, this isn't free."
"What do you want?" Ganthet knew it was impossible for them to get away without giving anything, so he asked directly.
"Technology. I want your technology."
Ganthet kindly reminded him:
"I must warn you, Earth's current technological level is still quite primitive and not suitable for blindly adopting our technology."
Dane, however, shook his head, "That's something we need to consider."
Having no choice, Ganthet could only agree.
But he emphasized that this was a private transaction between him and Dane and did not represent all the Guardians.
Furthermore, this agreement would not take effect immediately; Dane would only intervene when the Green Lantern Corps was definitively beyond salvation.
This was a condition Ganthet specifically added; he still hoped the Green Lanterns could create a miracle.
Dane had no objections; he had enough patience.
After he had carefully read Parallax's—that unlucky Little Blue Person's—memories on Earth,
He found many missing parts, which resulted in the knowledge he gained being fragmented and incomplete.
This was normal for someone who had been controlled by Parallax for a long time.
And had been sealed by his own people for many years; his mind was probably already severely corrupted.
However, it wasn't entirely without useful memories; the technology for gathering Emotional Spectrum energy was complete.
But this technology had many prerequisite tech trees, and Earth currently couldn't unlock a single one.
Dane chose to be more pragmatic and decided to develop the prerequisite technologies first.
Just as he and Ganthet finished their secret deal, in the sky, the Green Lanterns had already engaged in battle with the Sinestro Corps.
Overall, the Yellow Lantern warriors of the Sinestro Corps were stronger than the Green Lanterns.
And due to the existence of the "Yellow Impurity," the Green Lanterns' combat power was invisibly weakened even further.
Kilowog was a true tough guy, stubbornly dragging his heavily injured body to besiege Sinestro along with several Green Lanterns.
However, Sinestro handled it with ease; the yellow lantern ring was perfectly suited for him, and the more the surrounding green lanterns fought him, the more they feared him.
And the more they feared him, the weaker the power of the green lantern became, and correspondingly, the stronger Sinestro's power grew.
"What? Is this all your strength?"
Sinestro used one of the Green Lanterns as a weapon, striking another Green Lantern away.
Soon, only Kilowog, that stubborn fellow, and Tomar-Re remained near him.
And Sinestro's gaze fell upon Toma.
"Toma, you, yes, I can feel it, you harbor fear in your heart!"
Toma stood still, watching the imposing Sinestro.
And Sinestro extended his hand towards him, "Join my Corps, and I will bestow upon you a new power!"
"You will be stronger than you are now! You will transform from one who fears into one who instills fear in others! Join us!"
"Don't you want to get revenge on that person?"
Sinestro's words moved Toma, and he involuntarily reached out, wanting to grasp Sinestro's hand.
And Sinestro also smiled, however... it was Kilowog again; he shoved Toma aside, then roared and charged towards Sinestro.
Toma was knocked far away, his face alternating between green and pale.
He felt ashamed for his wavering will, but he couldn't suppress his desire for power; he wanted to defeat that person so badly.
But the Green Lantern ring clearly couldn't grant him such power.
Sinestro, who had been pushed away again by Kilowog, laughed loudly.
He suddenly waved his hand, and countless yellow lantern rings scattered, flying to various parts of the battlefield.
"Do you want power? Then take it! As long as you are willing to become a member of the Sinestro Corps, you can obtain my power!"
Kilowog's voice echoed across the entire battlefield, but at the same time, Kilowog's voice also rang out.
"Green Lanterns, do not be swayed by the enemy's incitement! Believe in the power of the green lantern light!"
Sinestro smiled knowingly, "Is that so? Then can your green lantern allow you to survive against me?"
He raised his hand, and yellow light illuminated the emblem on his lantern ring.
"I will prove it to you!" Kilowog raised his hand with a resolute expression.
In a trance, Sinestro seemed to see his past self; he too had once believed so firmly in the power of the green lantern.
However, on the path to realizing his ideals, all stumbling blocks had to be removed, even those beautiful memories.
Sinestro's expression turned cold, "I respect you, Kilowog, so I will give you the dignified end a warrior deserves."
With that, a yellow beam of light shot out.
At the same time, Kilowog also unleashed the greatest willpower of his life, and a green beam of light shot out, meeting the yellow light in the air.
The expanding Emotional Spectrum energy exploded, but Sinestro's power was superior, suppressing the green light and pushing it back after a few seconds.
"Ah—!" Kilowog was unwilling, but this unwillingness was not enough to allow him to withstand Sinestro's power.
Seeing that he was about to die in loyalty to Oa, Tomar-Re turned his head, not wanting to watch the scene.
He looked at the yellow lantern ring floating before him, took off the green lantern ring on his hand, and it immediately flew away... Toma gave a self-deprecating smile; it turned out the lantern ring had seen through him long ago.
He no longer hesitated, putting on the yellow lantern ring; instantly, his green uniform turned yellow, and he became a new harbinger of fear.
Kilowog closed his eyes in disappointment, seemingly resigned to being swallowed by the yellow light.
However, just then, a dazzling green light ascended into the sky.
On every most desperate night, you must have imagined something like this: a beam of light illuminating your World, as dazzling as the Sun.
And on this darkest day for the Green Lantern Corps, a new light rose.
A new Sun, a green Sun.
Hal Jordan, he stood in front of Kilowog, his strong will transformed into a green light barrier, as solid as a reef in the sea.
Standing firm against all storms and waves!
"Hal Jordan!!!"
Sinestro stared intently at that "Sun," roaring at his restless subordinates around him:
"Everyone, don't move! That one is mine!"
After giving the order, he swooped down towards Hal, and the two began to fight in mid-air.
Sinestro grabbed Hal, pushing him to crash into the ground; the powerful thrust "nailed" him and Hal into the Earth's core.
Hal manifested a chainsaw sword, striking a blow at Sinestro's head.
Sinestro deftly dodged, and yellow light transformed into an extendable sword, piercing Hal and pushing him into the lava.
A green light shield protected Hal from harm; he rushed out of the lava and once again entangled with Sinestro.
Kilowog stared at Tomar-Re, the former Green Lantern who was the first to betray their faction in this battle.
Boudicca didn't count; she was already Sinestro's mole.
And Tomar-Re's actions triggered a domino-like collapse; more Green Lanterns took off their Green Lantern rings and put on yellow lantern rings.
Among them, many did not genuinely wish to betray; they simply believed that Green Lantern rings with the "Yellow Impurity" could not deal with the Yellow Lantern Corps and hoped to use the power of the yellow lantern to fight against them.
But they didn't expect their will to be unable to resist the invasion of yellow light, and they were instantly brainwashed into loyal followers of Sinestro, transforming into Yellow Lantern harbingers of fear.
Dane shook his head, "How can a Green Lantern who doesn't even trust his own lantern ring have enough willpower to resist the invasion of yellow light?"
"However, it seems you still have a hidden card."
Dane hinted at something, while Ganthet just looked at the sky without speaking.
The gravitational field around Oa changed, and this change quickly caught Sinestro's attention.
"It's her!"
In space, a gigantic planet appeared on the outskirts of Oa.
She leaned against the Sun, obscuring its light like an eclipse.
In the very center of the planet, an unimaginably huge lantern symbol emerged.
The most powerful green lantern warrior in the Green Lantern Corps, the planetary lifeform Mogo, appeared!
