Chapter 111 - Chapter 110: Fated Fusion

Meanwhile, Hal had already entered the Central Power Battery room.

Because of the protection of green lantern energy, this place was not affected by external attacks.

Hal entered the place and, without a word, recited his oath to the lantern battery; he did not notice that Sinestro had followed him in.

By the time he noticed, Sinestro's sneak attack had already succeeded, injuring him.

"Strange, isn't it?"

While Hal was temporarily incapacitated, Sinestro used Yellow Emotional Spectrum energy to pull him close, his gaze fixed on the ring in his hand.

The newly charged ring emitted a dazzling green light, but the more Sinestro looked at it, the more he felt something was wrong with this ring.

He controlled Hal's hand to raise it, forcibly connecting the yellow lantern ring and the green lantern ring.

Time in the Real World almost stopped; Sinestro's consciousness had entered the World of the green lantern ring.

"Incredible, so there's such a World within the lantern ring!"

Even when Sinestro served the Green Lantern Corps in the past, he had never seen this World.

However, what surprised him most was not these things; his lantern ring sensed that something was here.

Something closely related to him; he saw a floating city not far away and flew up without hesitation.

As soon as he got close, an angry roar came from the floating city.

Roar—!!!

Immediately, a giant yellow eye the size of a millstone lit up from within, staring ferociously at Sinestro.

However, instead of being angry, he rejoiced, bursting into laughter.

"Parallax, it's actually Parallax!"

But no sooner had he finished speaking than a green fist smashed into his face, sending him flying far away.

"Stay away from him! Sinestro."

However, after Hal appeared, a huge yellow claw suddenly stretched out from the middle of the floating city, narrowly missing him.

Seeing that he missed, Parallax's furious roar grew louder.

Sinestro, meanwhile, laughed as he flew back; he didn't bother to continue fighting Hal, only flying towards Parallax.

Although Hal tried many ways to prevent him from approaching, the seasoned Sinestro still found an opportunity to get close to Parallax.

With the replenishment of Sinestro's energy, Parallax finally had enough energy to break through the confinement of the floating city.

And just as it broke free from its seal, Dane also sensed something and stopped his actions.

By now, not a trace of yellow could be seen in the sky, and the bloodstains on Dane's body had been completely burned away by air friction.

In the World within the ring, Sinestro, who had released Parallax, did not stop but instead directly entered its body.

Parallax did not refuse, not only because their powers were of the same origin, but also because it felt that Sinestro's power perfectly matched its own.

Even more so than Hal's!

At this moment, Hal was powerless to stop it; he could only watch as they merged into one.

Immediately, a new Parallax was born before Hal's eyes!

Unlike previous Parallaxes, Sinestro's appearance did not undergo any significant changes.

Oh, I wonder if the addition of a cape on his back counts?

In short, Sinestro now gave off a feeling of extremely high energy intensity.

And his consciousness was not controlled by Parallax; he was still himself.

Hal's feeling was not wrong; Sinestro had never felt as good as he did today.

Parallax had, of course, tried to manipulate his will, but it was too ridiculous; a mere insect, trying to control him?

Sinestro's arrogance made him completely immune to Parallax's control, thus allowing him to control Parallax in turn.

He looked at Hal, who was in the distance, and couldn't help but remember their last battle on Korugar.

Hal swore he had only blinked, but when he opened his eyes again, he found Sinestro already close at hand.

He was hit without any reaction, a sharp pain in his abdomen made him involuntarily arch his back, flying out like a full moon.

However, even as he flew away, he didn't even know what had hit him.

Sinestro said ecstatically, "Ah~ this is the power, finally... finally obtained!"

He had originally planned to seize Parallax, but he hadn't expected Parallax to be sealed within Hal's ring, which saved him another trip to Earth.

Just as he turned to leave, a beam of green light enveloped him like a cage.

Sinestro turned his head and saw it was Hal.

"You're not going anywhere!"

Sinestro merely sneered and waved his hand, and the green cage shattered. He immediately returned to reality.

It was too close to the green lantern energy source, and he was worried that Hal would suddenly burst with power again like last time. Some losses were enough to experience once.

As Sinestro's mind returned to reality and he just regained his senses, a figure tore through the dome and descended from the sky.

Sinestro looked back and saw a burly man in red clothes but a white robe. His expression immediately changed.

His fusion with Parallax naturally granted him its memories, so he not only recognized this man,

but also knew that this man had established a very troublesome organization on Earth.

He flung the obstructing Hal aside and did something that no one present had expected: he flew into the green lantern energy source.

Immediately after, yellow light energy rapidly emerged from the center of the green lantern energy source, and the main battery's green glow visibly dimmed.

Dane sensed something descending at this moment. He grabbed Hal with one hand, directly smashed through the ceiling, and flew into the sky.

Two seconds later, yellow light radiated in all directions, and a massive energy flow erupted from the Central Power Battery room.

When Dane and Hal saw Sinestro again, they saw that his entire body had turned yellow, as if he had become a body composed of energy.

But this was not enough, far from enough!

He gazed at Dane and Hal for a while. In these short few seconds, he had already surveyed the entire Oa battlefield.

Even he couldn't help but be startled by Dane's efficiency in Carnage. Influenced by this state of mind, he decided to play it safe.

He himself was far from his limit!

Thinking of this, Sinestro transformed into a yellow light and flew into space.

His decision was correct. Whether Dane's own energy could match Sinestro's was an unknown.

But he definitely had the ability to kill the opponent with one blow. The Kiss of Death had not yet tasted blood on Oa!

Parallax couldn't be killed because its life essence was different, making it difficult to erase.

However, Sinestro himself was not like that. If he was hit once by the Kiss of Death, he would immediately perish.

Sinestro might have instinctively sensed the danger from Dane, so even though he knew the other party had massacred his subordinates, he could temporarily endure it.

"He's quite the overlord."

In space, there was still a group of his subordinates who had not been killed.

Boudicca was one of them. She had hidden in outer space early on, thus escaping Dane's "Carnage."

As for Toma, whether he was lucky or unlucky, he escaped Dane's sweep because he was entangled with Kilowog at the time.

Kilowog's entanglement, to some extent, also preserved his life, otherwise, he might have been taken care of by Dane as an afterthought.

By the end of the fight, looking at the scattered corpses and bones of the Yellow Lantern Corps around him, Toma was stunned.

He had just switched allegiances, and the situation had already reversed?

Kilowog, taking advantage of his carelessness, suddenly launched a sneak attack, manifesting a spiked mace and knocking him unconscious with one blow, then removing his yellow lantern ring.

He looked around. Even though he was battle-hardened, he found the scene of mountains of corpses and seas of blood hard to accept.

This did not align with a Green Lantern's values; not a single living soul was left.

But he couldn't say anything, because the other party was merely helping and was not a member of the Green Lantern Corps, thus not bound by the Corps' rules.

The enemies on Oa had basically been wiped out by Dane. Even the remaining Yellow Lantern Corps members were terrified by Dane and posed no threat.

Taking Hal with them, they flew and landed near the Guardians.

"Sinestro has already stolen the energy from the main battery. His energy level is now higher than all of ours combined."

As soon as Sinestro plundered the energy, the Little Blue People had already received the information.

They clearly had secret arrangements for the main battery.

They originally thought the situation was bad enough, but Dane brought new bad news:

"There's one more thing you need to know: Sinestro has obtained Parallax, and his power has once again exploded."

He looked up at the sky: "That Planet life form might not be his match now."
