Chapter 112 - Chapter 111: Battle Against Sinestro

As Dane said, Sinestro, in terms of energy level alone, had now reached the same level as Mogo.

The Planet Green Lantern, Mogo, Dane speculated that her origin was similar to that of the City Spirit, belonging to the Gaia life system.

So Dane pondered for a moment and guessed: "Sinestro wants to assimilate this Planet life form into the Yellow Lantern Corps."

If it were before, Sinestro certainly wouldn't be able to do it with his own abilities.

But now, with Parallax's amplification, he had that ability.

Parallax could stir up fear in living beings, and this ability had nothing to do with the opponent's strength or size.

It was only related to the subject's mind. A Green Lantern who could overcome their own fear,

even if their body was only the size of a bee, was still great.

And a Green Lantern who couldn't overcome their inner fear, even Mogo, would crumble at the touch of Parallax.

And in fact, there was indeed an alien in the Green Lantern Corps named "Bzzd" who looked very much like a bee and became a Green Lantern, and he happened to be the partner of the Planet Green Lantern, Mogo.

This little fellow's willpower was superior to most Green Lanterns, and he especially liked to manifest huge objects to strike enemies.

And Mogo? Could she overcome her own fear?

For her type of special life form, the most terrifying things were nothing more than two:

One is the catastrophic destruction of life on the Planet, leading to mass extinction.

The second is the erasure of her own consciousness, becoming a pure celestial body without thought.

And both of these, the Sinestro Corps happened to be capable of achieving.

Strictly speaking, Korugar could achieve the first point, and Sinestro could achieve the second point, and he made good use of these two weaknesses of Mogo.

First, he used the Yellow Impurity of green lantern 370 to equip Korugar's fleet with yellow weapons to attack the Planet's ecosystem and Surface World.

Then, he used Parallax to psychologically intimidate the life form. Soon, even a massive life form like Mogo retreated steadily under the Sinestro Corps' attack!

"How could this be..."

This scene was beyond the Guardians' expectations, but Dane was not surprised.

This was a counter-attribute strategy targeting weaknesses, and Dane believed that Sinestro still had reserves.

Because he couldn't have known beforehand that Parallax was sealed in Hal's lantern ring, yet he still came, which meant he actually had a backup plan.

But it probably wasn't needed now.

Ganthet immediately turned to Dane: "Do something!"

Dane nodded readily, but what he said made Ganthet's blood pressure rise: "More money!"

Goddammit, more money!

Ganthet understood that this meant he had to raise the stakes! The previous terms were no longer enough.

Logically speaking, this was not entirely incomprehensible.

Solving one Sinestro and solving one Parallax were two completely different difficulties. But wasn't Parallax brought by you?

Dane seemed to have seen through his meaning, but only said: "If it weren't for your carelessness, how would Parallax have run off to Earth?"

"We even helped you solve problems that should have been solved by you, and you still dare to blame me for bringing Parallax back!"

He even turned the tables: "What kind of logic is that?"

Ah, this... it's not entirely illogical... but Ganthet still strongly suspected that Dane deliberately allowed Sinestro to merge with Parallax, just to extort them at this very moment.

But there were priorities, so he gritted his teeth and agreed.

However, this time Dane demanded that the other Little Blue People also sign this agreement, and he had already prepared the contract.

This was a magic version of the contract. The previous one was just an oral agreement between him and Ganthet, and he trusted Ganthet's integrity enough not to sign a written one.

But the others?

Sorry, we're not related, and we're not close, so why should I trust you?

Moreover, Dane knew a lot of dirt on these Little Blue People. They were as adept at the art of manipulation as some politicians on Earth, so it was better to bind them with magic.

As an immortal race, the Guardians had naturally seen magic, so they meticulously examined every corner, pattern, and edge of the contract, leaving nothing out.

And indeed, they found a few loopholes.

Seeing this, Dane could only "tsk" and modify the contract.

After he finished modifying it, the Little Blue People signed their names.

At this time, Mogo's situation was already precarious.

Hal, who had been with Dane the whole time, watched dumbfounded as he skillfully negotiated with the Little Blue People, almost thinking he was a politician too.

But after Dane retrieved the contract, he slapped Hal on the head.

"What are you looking at? Get to work!"

"Oh... oh!" Hal scratched his head, deciding not to bother with these matters.

In outer space, Sinestro was exerting mental influence on Mogo. He had already successfully stirred up the Planet's heart of fear.

But to subdue this Planet, he needed some time, and clearly, he wouldn't have that much time.

His peripheral vision had already noticed two points of light flying from the direction of Oa: Hal and that Earthling who brought him a sense of threat.

Sinestro originally thought his opponent this time would still be Hal, but he was wrong.

He didn't know what that Earthling said to Hal, making him turn to deal with Korugar's fleet, while that strange Earthling flew towards him.

His speed was very fast!

Just as Sinestro thought this, a fist the size of a casserole approached his eyes.

His combat awareness was still excellent, and he immediately dodged sideways, avoiding the blow.

However, Dane's attack was not limited to his fists.

Just as Sinestro was about to counterattack, he saw white electric arcs light up on the Earthling's body. The arcs jumped like living things.

The speed of the electricity was incomparable to his. An electric snake directly "bit" him, paralyzing him all over.

Sinestro found that his yellow light shield couldn't protect him very well; this blow was too painful.

But Dane's feeling was the exact opposite; he felt that the "turtle shell" on Sinestro was too hard and couldn't be broken.

However, Sinestro was not unable to fight. He quickly regrouped and began to counterattack.

He used yellow light to manifest vivid monsters, baring their fangs and claws, biting towards Dane.

Dane grabbed the beast's upper and lower jaws with both hands, tore it forcefully, and ripped it in half.

However, Sinestro's energy was almost inexhaustible, and countless monsters pounced on him.

From a distance, it looked like a group of behemoths fighting over a tiny bait.

But Dane was fearless. No matter what monster came, he just tore it apart!

Sinestro hid among them, and while Dane was focused on clearing the small fry, he suddenly landed a sneak punch.

But Dane took the punch head-on, and his head only tilted back a few centimeters.

This, instead, allowed him to locate Sinestro. He grabbed Sinestro and threw a punch.

The powerful punch, like striking a bull through a mountain, pierced through the monsters behind Sinestro.

But Sinestro was indeed Parallax's best host. With the help of yellow light energy, he quickly recovered from his injuries.

He stopped hiding, manifested two gauntlets to completely cover his arms, and then started trading blows with Dane.

The shockwaves from the collision of lightning and yellow light spread out in space as fan-shaped impacts, destroying the monsters Sinestro had created earlier.

Dane found that although Sinestro's physical strength was not high, relying on his super-fast recovery speed, he could actually fight him back and forth.

Moreover, the yellow energy on the other party clearly showed a tendency to increase. He knew that Mogo was providing fear energy to the opponent.

"Good heavens, he's using Mogo as a health potion!"

But it wasn't a big problem; Dane, with his super speed, approached him again.

This time, he flicked his arm, and a dark, black stinger extended.

Sinestro's expression changed. The moment he saw the black stinger, Parallax screamed a warning in his mind, and he immediately flew backward without hesitation.

Dane flew upward.

Sinestro retreated, creating obstacles with yellow light to buy himself time.

Dane held the Kiss of Death in front of him, like an awl, determined to pierce through.

At a critical moment, Sinestro suddenly opened his mouth.

Parallax leaped out of his mouth, extending two long arms.

Its palms clapped together, trapping Dane within them.

Sinestro seized the opportunity to construct a super bomb and directly stuffed it into Parallax's palm.

Then he flew far away; after all, Parallax couldn't be killed by an explosion, so he might as well use it.

There was no sound in the vacuum, but the location of Parallax suddenly lit up with a blinding Flash. The ball of light spread outward from the center of the explosion, instantly expanding into a giant sphere.

The brightness was so intense that even the Green Lanterns on Oa could see it clearly...
