Chapter 197 - Chapter 196 The Wizard Council

In the blink of an eye, Doctor Fate appeared in Hawkman's manor. Hawkman was adjusting his fighter jet and turned around to see Doctor Fate standing behind him.

"Do you always have to appear like this?"

Doctor Fate removed his helmet, instantly transforming back into Kent Nelson. He glanced at Hawkman.

"I often advise you to use the front door too, but you never listen, do you?"

Hawkman shook his head helplessly, "Aren't you helping Checkmate catch the mole? Are you done here?"

"No, I... we have more important things to do."

Hawkman put down his work and frowned at his old friend. He knew Kent never spoke without purpose.

"What trouble has happened now?"

"We need to deal with a tricky individual." He told Hawkman about Teth-Adam.

Hawkman frowned, feeling as if he had heard that name somewhere before.

He was the reincarnation of Prince Khufu, and at that time, Egypt and Kahndaq had deep diplomatic ties, so it was normal for him to have heard the name.

"I remember now! Isn't he the defender of Kahndaq? I heard he was sealed by the Wizard Council for making a mistake."

Hawkman finally found fragments about Teth-Adam in his distant memories.

Kent nodded, "That's right, it's him. I suspect he's also a key figure in the future disaster, so..."

Hawkman finished his sentence for him, "So, it's best we control him first and keep him under our surveillance."

As expected of an old friend, their synergy was unmatched.

"If it's Teth-Adam, just the two of us might not be enough, Carter. We need more people."

Carter nodded in understanding, "Coincidentally, I've found two promising candidates. Although they are still very young, their potential is astonishing."

But Kent, hearing this, was displeased, "Carter, this mission is very dangerous. You shouldn't involve children."

But Carter said, "It has nothing to do with age. They are both willing to bear this responsibility..."

"You used such an excuse to persuade them? Responsibility?" Kent was even more displeased upon hearing this.

Carter was expressionless: "Do you have to argue with me at a time like this?

You have to understand, in this World, it's very difficult to find people who truly uphold justice, and they are concentrated in the Justice League!"

Kent was speechless.

Carter lowered his head: "I've already notified them. Those two rookies will arrive here tomorrow.

If you really care about them, then think carefully about how we can effectively complete this mission!"

Kent gripped the helmet in his hand, saying nothing.

The next day, Maxine Hunkel and Albert Rothstein arrived at Hawkman's manor.

The former was a Black girl, codenamed Cyclone, with the ability to control "wind," or air currents. This girl also had extraordinary talent in science and technology.

The latter was the nephew of the original Justice Society member Atom Al Pratt, codenamed Atom Smasher.

He inherited his uncle's superpower, able to grow his body to giant size, gaining immense strength and defense, but in terms of social interaction, he was still just a child.

Both of them were too young.

Kent thought this, and he looked back at Carter, realizing that future events had also put a lot of pressure on him.

Carter said a few words to the two young people, then led them onto the fighter jet. He looked at Kent: "Let's go."

Kent followed, and as he passed him, he said, "I hope you know what you're doing."

Carter said firmly, "Of course!"

Kent said no more and entered the N Metal fighter jet. Inside, the two young people seemed to be getting along quite well.

Kent smiled as he walked past... Over Kahndaq, Hawkman quickly activated stealth mode before entering.

Albert saw his actions and asked curiously, "Don't we have a visa?"

"The Justice Society doesn't need a visa!" Hawkman said stiffly.

Liar!

Albert muttered inwardly, if that were true, you wouldn't have activated stealth mode. Isn't this just trying to sneak in?

Maxine stood behind him, secretly laughing.

Hawkman was also helpless; he had made a mistake once before, so he didn't want to repeat it.

If he were warned to turn back again, where would he put his old face?

Soon after arriving in Kahndaq, they found the cave indicated in Checkmate's intelligence.

"You two stay on the plane. If anything happens to us, we'll call for backup."

Hawkman instructed the two young people, then jumped directly from the fighter jet.

"Did he, did he bring a parachute?" Albert hesitated.

Kent picked up his helmet and answered him, "He didn't." Then he put on the helmet, and with a flash of golden light, he disappeared.

Albert whistled, "Cool!"

In mid-air, Hawkman's N Metal expanded, unfurling a pair of golden wings behind him, and he flew into the cave.

As he landed, Doctor Fate also appeared simultaneously.

"Where is he?"

"Under your feet," Doctor Fate said.

Hawkman quickly moved his foot. There was a lightning symbol there, identical to the symbol on Shazam's chest.

"Are you ready?" Hawkman pulled out his mace from behind him.

Doctor Fate looked at the cuneiform on the ground and recited a spell.

"Shazam!"

A bolt of lightning descended from the cave ceiling, striking the center of the floor.

As the smoke cleared, a burly man in a black robe was half-crouching on the ground. He slowly stood up and turned his head.

"Is it you who summoned me?"

Hawkman stepped forward, holding his hammer to his chest.

"Teth-Adam, you need to come with us."

The burly man in black looked at Hawkman and his weapon, then at Doctor Fate, a disdainful smile playing on his lips.

"So, it's my enemies. You really should have kept me sealed."

With that, he suddenly raised both hands, and two thick bolts of lightning shot out. The lightning on the left was caught by the prepared Hawkman with his hammer.

The lightning on the right was teleported by Doctor Fate's magic to an unknown realm.

Doctor Fate flew into the air and gave Teth-Adam a final ultimatum.

"Teth-Adam, this is your last chance. Surrender, or die."

Doctor Fate in this state was, to be honest, very irritating, and Adam was immediately angered to laughter by his words.

He tore off his black robe, revealing his muscular body and shiny bald head.

He faced Doctor Fate and uttered the first swear word he had learned in this era:

"Fuck You."
