Asherah stares at the man before her. Can she really trust him?
"Be rest assured my Queen I'll keep whatever I know now to myself. Your happiness is my priority" he says leaning in to pack her on her veiled cheeks.
Her eyes go round like saucers. He leans away from her saying "Good night My Queen". Before he completes his words she immediately opens the door entering into her room before banging the door close.
Lucien chuckles.
Asherah rests her back on the door. Next time I won't allow him to get too close with me.
"You have a lot of explanations to do Lilly" Asherah says inside her head "and you better don't plan on ignoring me this time around cause it won't work" she huffs walking into the wash room.
Lucien walks towards the Alpha study. With a lot running through his head. Arriving at the study the Alphas announce his presence. He enters the study seeing both the Alpha and the crown prince both having serious expression on their faces.
"Please have a seat" Alpha Theron says, gesturing to him for an empty seat.
Lucien sits down staring at both the father and son in silence.
"King Lucien I will take it as you have asked to announce the coming of your marriage ceremony with my daughter. You have agreed to marry my daughter going along with the peace truce. But I'll give you a chance to back out knowing that you don't know everything about my daughter".
"I'd like to know them now, " Lucien says, staring at Theron intently.
Looking away through the window he sighs "If you have heard the rumors you will know she's called the forbidden princess. She was born out of a rough circumstance that inquired about life and death. My life.
I haven't told the story to ask yet because I believe what I know is not the full story as I was half conscious during that time. The only person who can tell her the true story of her birth is her mother".
Theron sighs and continues "Asherah was born out of marriage. Although she is the first princess she is a step sibling to the other royal children. Her mother had to leave to face the consequences of her actions by using a forbidden method to save my life which brought about the birth of Ash. Amalthea was right when she said Ash is cursed. She is cursed not to fall in love".
Theron says silence enveloping the room once more.
Aiden looks at Lucien seeing him in deep thought.
"What if this curse is broken?" Lucien asks.
Theron shakes his head sadly "Her mother cursed her for a reason. She didn't want to but she had to in order to protect her. Her mother said as long as she doesn't find love everything they will never find her. The curse comes with extra powers and as long as she's happy everything will be fine". he says recounting what Avonmora told him that night.
"What you are trying to tell me is that people are after her life why?" Lucien asks.
Theron leans into his chair "Her mother said that they are after her life because of the powers residing inside her. I don't even know what those powers are. But what I know is the fact that she cursed her in order to conceal her powers to avoid people from tracing her. If she finds love that curse will be broken and the people will know about her existence once again".
Lucien cocks a brow. Even Theron doesn't know what power resides in his daughter that means he also isn't aware of her being a hybrid. But what could be her other personality? "I'll make sure the curse is broken" he said to have both Theron and Aiden snap their heads towards him. "You heard what my father said, once it is broken people will come after her life".
Lucien stares at Aiden "What if you find your mate and she's cursed and can't love you back would you just sit back and watch it happen?" He asks to see Aiden turn his face away.
"I'm more than capable of protecting my future wife once the curse is broken. I'll marry her no matter what curse is hanging over her head. I have a request to make". Lucien says. " I want My Queen things to be moved to my room. Well share a room". Lucien says.
Theron and Aiden frown. "I don agree to this" Aiden says clenching his fist.
Lucien cocks a brow "Your sister is bound to find love sooner or later. She'll surely find someone she'll come to admire and love. And then the curse will be broken. So why don't I gain her trust and help her break the curse and together we fight whatever may come our way" seeing both men quiet he says "I believe this is all for now if you once you've come to terms with my request we can go further forming the alliance for peace" he stands up walking towards the door.
"How do you plan on fighting against what you don't know about?" Theron asks, making Lucien halt. They stare at his back for a while. He turns his face towards them, his eyes pitch black. They both pale. "I believe a demon is more mysterious than any other being," he says leaving the room.
