Chapter 17 - CHAPTER 17

Asherah hops on top of the bed covering herself with the warm comfy blanket after a refreshing shower.

"Lilly" she calls out in her head "Why didn't you tell me he was our mate when we saw him?" She asks.

"Are you forgetting something Ash? We didn't see his face, only those beautiful grey orbs of his and you expect me to tell you?" Lilly replies sarcastically.

"By the way he knows you are a hybrid. Do you plan on telling him about our other side?" Lilly asks. Asherah sighs "I don't know Lilly he's also a hybrid he said something about his other side being a demon". Asherah says with a groan.

Asherah stretches her limb.

"Ash, are you going to tell him about our secret and what we've come to know over the years and about our mother?" Lilly asks, making Asherah sigh.

"I don't know Lilly he said to trust him and I feel like doing. Anyway, he's going to be our husband soon. It's only right to tell him about us since he's willing to do the same but we have to take things slowly and see if we can really trust him ok" Asherah says.

"ok" Lilly mumbles. "Ash can we go for a swim I feel like stretching my bones a little" Lilly whines.

Asherah chuckles "in sorry Lilly not today. The pack palace is full with dignitaries from other packs; we can't risk someone seeing us. Let's just get some sleep" she says, fluttering her eyes closed.

"One more thing, aren't you going to let him see your face?" Lilly asks in curiosity.

"I will Lilly, since we've been hidden since we were born, why don't we keep it that way and only show our face when we are about to leave their pack for good. How do you see it" she grins at her wolf.

Lilly grumbles "ok then". Asherah smiles, closing her eyes to sleep.

In the Alpha study Theron and Aiden were still shocked by what the Vampire king revealed to them.

"He's not a pure blooded Vampire," Aiden says.

"I know that now, son. I've heard about a few who always rebel against the Vampire king. Now that I think about it I think it's because he's a half breed. But he's still the most powerful Vampire king that has reigned". Theron says massaging his brows with his fingers.

"Are we going to go ahead with his demands? Even though I hate to say this, the Vampire king is right. Knowing how mischievous Ash is, you don't think she stayed in that room all her life do you?" He asks, remembering how she had sneaked out in her wolf form.

"I know. Sarai told me about that" Theron sighs.

"We have no other choice Aiden. We have to agree with his request. If the Vampire king has said he will protect her then we have to trust his word. Arrange for her things to be moved into his room" he says staring out the window into the dead night.

Aiden stands up and moves to leave the study. Placing his hand on the door he pauses and turns to his father.

"Dad if I'm not wrong a white wolf symbolizes a crown princess or some One destined to be the Luna of a pack or someone who is already the Luna of a pack".

"Yes. Why do you ask? Did you see one because King Lucien also inquired about a white wolf earlier today" Theron says with a frown on his face. "Do you think the one who is destined to be the Luna is lurking somewhere on the pack?" Theron asks.

Aiden.looks at his father with doubt "Did the Vampire king really inquire about a white wolf because Ash is one father" Aiden says his voice drooping to a whisper.

Theron looks at Aiden with a frown. "Ash has a white wolf. That's impossible. Has she met with the Vampire king before".

"I don't think so, father. I think she accidentally bumped into him in her wolf form. Because I also saw a white wolf in the forest this morning after you told me about the truce. She was about to leave but I asked her not to" he says, recounting his meeting with Asherah.

"Is this fate?" Theron sighs. "What if they are destined to be with each other?" Theron asks, obviously puzzled about the situation.

"It makes perfect sense now. Asherah being a white wolf is because she's the crown princess after me" Aiden says with a sigh. Theron frowns, not commenting on it as Aiden leaves his study.
