Chapter 10 - Rex's trouble

The middle-aged man turned his head, shot Rex a cold glare, then took the noblewoman's arm and tried guiding her away.

"Sorry, Madam Rose, this must be some kind of misunderstanding. Someone's trying to drive a wedge between us."

"Rex is immature, but he wouldn't say such outrageous things."

"Let's go somewhere else to talk."

Madam Rose rolled her eyes and shook his hand off. "Whether it's a misunderstanding, I can judge for myself. Today's deal ends here."

She turned with a queen's stride and walked away, step by elegant step.

The middle-aged man took a deep breath and hurried after her.

In Rex's head, a voice came through telepathically. "Find whoever did this. Bring him to apologize to the lady."

"Don't make this kind of amateur mistake again. Watch your damn mouth."

The voice was calm, but Rex knew his father was genuinely pissed.

His face went pale. Body trembled. Veins bulged on his forehead.

Rex gritted his teeth and slapped one of his lackeys across the face.

"What are you waiting for?! Go find him! Service center, first floor! If you can't find him, I'll skin you alive!"

"Anyone who messes with me, I'll use their head as a chamber pot!"

"Yes! Young Master Rex!"

First floor broadcast room.

Alex straightened his clothes, ready to bolt.

Beside him, the sweet girl stood frozen, voice shaking. "You... you can't just leave! I have to report this!"

Alex looked back and smiled. "Here's the thing—if you report it, you'll get dragged into this too."

The girl's eyes went wide. Her knees went weak.

Alex opened the door.

"The owner of that audio is the young master of a powerful family. If he finds out you helped broadcast it, what do you think he'll do?"

"You know Rex's reputation. If he catches you, you're in serious trouble."

As he spoke, Alex's gaze flickered downward for a split second.

She slammed her knees together, hugged herself, body shaking.

"Then... what should I do?"

"Simple. I'll knock you out. You won't remember anything. You'll have plausible deniability."

"Huh? Wait—"

Before she could finish, Alex chopped the back of her neck. She went limp and collapsed.

Alex caught her, checked that no other workers were watching, and laid her carefully in the staff changing room.

Now fewer people would suspect her involvement.

After handling that, he took a deep breath.

Tch—nobody smells like Aunt Lilian. She really is the best!

He grabbed the potion box and took off running. Also called the cops while he was at it.

With Rex's temper, this mall was about to become a warzone.

One minute later, two lackeys kicked open the service desk door.

Rex burst in, slapped a staff member across the face, and grabbed his collar.

"Talk! Who played that recording?! Where is he?! TALK!"

Spit flew as he shouted, face red, neck veins bulging.

The two lackeys started forcing other staff to answer.

But how would they know? Alex had bolted immediately!

Rex threw the guy to the ground and started smashing equipment.

"FUCK! FUCK!!"

"If you don't find him today, I'll burn this whole mall to the ground! FUCK!"

All the staff trembled, insisting they didn't know.

Rex grabbed his own hair and stormed out of the service area.

He ran straight into a crowd holding up phones—bystanders and livestreamers.

They were hyped, camera flashes going off everywhere.

"Breaking news! Young Master Rex losing it on the street!"

"Rex infected with rabies?"

"Rex's messy private life catches up to him!"

"Rex the Licker!"

"Rex is a degenerate!"

These wild headlines drew the internet mob.

Rex's forehead veins throbbed, pupils bloodshot, teeth clenched so hard they might crack.

People with phones backed away while shouting:

"Record! Record! Peak social death content!"

"Guys, push this! This clip's gonna be legendary!"

Comments flew in the livestream chats:

[HOLY SHIT! That's Rex?!]

[LMAO he's spitting like some angry auntie!!]

[So funny, red face screaming 'fuck'—looks like a rabid boar!]

[Rex's greatest hits: 'fat ass, huge tits, lick every day!']

[As expected from a rich family heir, such class!]

One streamer yelled, "Follow me! I'm keeping this live! Free Rex soundboard!"

Another slapped a pig filter on him, pasted Rex's face onto a boar's body, and cackled.

[HAHA Rex be like: 'oink oink, don't run, lick me!']

Someone screamed, "Holy crap, is this a new bloodline awakening?! Stallion contract beast?!"

[Yeah yeah! S-rank talent: Infinite Perversion!]

Rex's two lackeys frantically tried smashing phones, but the crowd kept growing—way too many to stop.

Rex lowered his head and closed his eyes.

"I'm giving you five seconds to get out of my sight, or face the consequences."

Some people got nervous. "Bro, this guy's not stable, let's bounce."

"Yeah, a big family heir like him—who knows what he'll actually do. Look at his eyes..."

A few smart people slipped away, but most of the crowd stayed, pushing in to get his face on camera.

"Why be scared? There's so many of us—can he really kill everyone?"

"Yeah! Even rich families have to follow the law!"

"Come on! Viral fame is right here!"

The jeers filled Rex's head. He took a few deep breaths, then shoved his two lackeys aside.

"Get lost. I'll handle this myself."

He opened his eyes. They were bloodshot. Green light started glowing in his palms.

But the crowd didn't see the danger. They kept recording.

Rex smiled in a twisted way and summoned his Gale Hawk right there.

"Die! Trash!"

A massive hawk spread its wings, ready to attack and massacre.

Suddenly, a bucket of ice-cold water poured down from upstairs, nailing both man and beast dead-on.

The hawk crashed to the floor, soaked through. Could barely even lift its wings.

No matter how strong a contract beast is, it still has to deal with physics.

Rex got drenched in the face. He stood there blankly. The corner of his mouth frozen mid-snarl.

The people around got even MORE excited and shoved cameras right up to his face.

Alex looked down from above and burst out laughing.

Rex would survive this, but the humiliation? He'd remember it for decades!

Alex didn't hesitate. Ran to the elevator and smashed the button for floor 19—the client's floor.

At the last second before the doors closed, he thought he heard a soul-crushing roar that could split the sky.

The rest... he'd watch on the news tomorrow.

He couldn't risk getting caught, not even slightly. Rex's family was powerful.

[Option Three Complete!]

[Slime learned skill: Gigantification!]

[Gigantification Lv1: Size triples! Speed reduced by only 20%]

Huh? Triple the size? Speed only drops by 20%?

What a killer skill! Even though the slime's still small now, once it grows bigger and gets stronger, this'll be god-tier! It could become a mobile fortress!

Plus Alex was certain this skill could be upgraded! Later it might grow ten times, dozens of times bigger!

Bright future ahead! Hahahaha!

Alex was already planning to mess around with the slime later, test out the gigantification!

[Host's audio distribution method was too shocking! Bonus reward granted! Level 1 Teleportation Potion ×1]

[Effect: Host instantly teleports 1000 meters away!]

Yo-ho, bonus prize!

Alex's eyes lit up—teleportation was great stuff! Perfect escape tool!

Now his survival odds had shot way up! At least he didn't need to worry about getting cornered.

But this trip out was a bit reckless. Before messing with Rex, he should've prepped some backup plans.

Otherwise if he got caught, even if he didn't die, he'd get skinned alive... with a big family's methods.

But the system had his back! Hehe!

Five seconds later.

Ding! Nineteenth floor.

The elevator doors opened and a wave of perfume hit him.

Alex stepped out—and froze.
