Chapter 38 - Chapter 38: Trapped in the Mirrors

Naruto sprinted through the dense mist, his heart pounding. The bridge loomed ahead, and he could sense the fierce battle taking place. As he neared the battlefield, he saw Sasuke and Ryuga struggling against the ice mirrors. Without hesitation, he launched himself into the fray.

"Shadow Clone Jutsu!" Naruto created several clones, using the distraction to get close to Haku. In a swift move, he managed a sneak attack, striking Haku from behind. Haku staggered but quickly regained composure.

Zabuza, noticing Naruto's arrival, prepared to attack. "I'll take care of this brat," he growled.

"No," Haku interjected, stepping forward. "Let me handle him, Zabuza-sama."

Zabuza eyed Haku for a moment before nodding. "Fine. Just don't disappoint me. Also help me to trap the other brat."

Haku proceeds to control his chakra and entrap Ryuga inside another ice dome.

Sasuke watched as Naruto approached the ice dome, his eyes widening in frustration. "Naruto, stay back! You'll get trapped too!"

Ignoring Sasuke's warning, Naruto rushed into the dome to check on his friend. "Sasuke, are you okay?"

Naruto's entry only served to imprison him alongside Sasuke, much to Sasuke's dismay. "Great, now we're both stuck here!"

Haku's reflection appeared in all the mirrors, eyes cold and determined. "You shouldn't have come in here, Naruto. Now, you'll share the same fate."

Naruto and Sasuke both attempted to break the mirrors with their strongest attacks, but their efforts were futile. The ice remained unscathed, reflecting their desperation.

Kakashi observed the situation, realising the severity of the predicament. "This isn't good. Haku must be using a kekkei genkai. Naruto and Sasuke don't stand a chance on their own."

With a grim resolve, Kakashi lifted his headband, revealing his Sharingan. "Time to end this quickly."

Zabuza smirked, recognizing the move. "So, you're finally getting serious, Kakashi. But it won't help you."

Before Kakashi could make a move, Zabuza disappeared into the mist, leaving Kakashi on edge. "Sakura, stay close to Tazuna. This is about to get dangerous."

Zabuza's voice echoed through the mist, taunting Kakashi. "I've learned how to counter the Sharingan. It won't save you this time."

Kakashi scanned the mist, his Sharingan trying to lock onto Zabuza's chakra. Suddenly, Zabuza struck, revealing his new strategy. "I don't need my eyes to kill you, Kakashi. I can do it by sound alone."

Using his heightened senses, Zabuza attacked with precision, forcing Kakashi to defend himself and Tazuna. "You can't win, Kakashi. I've honed my skills for this exact scenario."

As Zabuza moved to strike Tazuna, Kakashi intervened, placing himself between the blade and the bridge builder. The sharp edge cut deep into Kakashi, causing him to wince in pain.

"Kakashi-sensei!" Sakura cried out, horrified by the sight.

Kakashi gritted his teeth, determined to protect Tazuna at all costs. "I won't let you win, Zabuza."

Bleeding and exhausted, Kakashi knew he had to act fast. Summoning all his strength, he prepared to use an attack of his own creation. "Raikiri!" he shouted, his hand glowing with intense lightning chakra.

Inside the ice dome, Ryuga watched in horror as his friends struggled. He knew he had to do something, anything, to save them.

"I can't let them die," he thought, summoning his chakra. "I need to break these mirrors!"

Ryuga focused his ice chakra, feeling the cold energy flow through him. "Ice Release: Ice Dragon's Claw!" he shouted, his hands encased in powerful ice claws.

He struck the mirrors repeatedly, each blow more forceful than the last. But Haku's technique was resilient, refusing to shatter.
