Chapter 60 - Chapter 60

Dragon King!

As the name suggests, it stores the seeds of the Dragon King's power!

This is what manifests when Sugisawa Yuuto's Lightning Dragon Slayer magic reaches 100%! It is also the essential step for him to elevate his Lightning Dragon Slayer magic to a completely new stage.

Once the Dragon King species is fully awakened, its thunderous power merges with Yuuto's own magic—sublimation! At that moment, Yuuto's strength will reach its peak, and Dragon King Mode will finally be activated.

Of course, it sounds simple—but in reality, it is nearly impossible.

Until now, Yuuto had tried countless methods. Yet, activating even a trace of the Dragon King species remained impossible.

Even the guild's repeated upgrade rewards offered no relevant assistance. To truly unlock Thunder Dragon King Mode, he would have to explore it himself.

Although it was just a conjecture, Yuuto believed the key to awakening the Thunder Dragon King Seed was thunder and lightning. If he could absorb an excess of lightning energy, perhaps the Dragon King species would awaken.

To test this theory, Yuuto had once entered Thunder Cloud in East Blue, receiving the baptism of Heaven and Earth Thunder. Yet even then, it had failed. Ordinary Thunder Clouds simply weren't enough.

Considering the immense power of thunder in the world of the Grand Line, several options came to mind:

The first: Thunder God Island, one of the first three islands in the New World, perpetually charged with lightning. A natural source, though far away and thus postponed for the moment.

The second: Big Mom, Charlotte Linlin. Her Thunder Cloud Homies, like Zeus, continuously discharged massive energy and produced more Thunder Clouds. But Yuuto had no alliance with her, and it was far too early to provoke the Four Emperors.

The third—and best—option: the Logia Thunder Fruit user, Enel, the God of Abilities on Sky Island, Golden Land.

Since entering the Grand Line, Yuuto had awaited this moment—the chance to meet Enel. And now… it had finally arrived.

Watching Enel crouched atop the mast of Fairy Tail, casually eating an apple, Yuuto wasn't angry about the unauthorized intrusion into the guild. After all, in Yuuto's eyes, Enel was just a big, fat sheep… no, a valuable "customer," rushing to provide him with nourishment. Considering the future benefits, this minor trespass could easily be forgiven.

"Ha ha ha! I have to admit, you all did well!" Enel said, crouched on the mast, smiling in admiration, unconcerned that all the priests and Divine Soldiers under his command had been wiped out.

To him, only the truly strong could serve as God's agents. Weak priests and soldiers were expendable. They had no right to accompany him to the infinite lands.

Someday, when his plan succeeded, he would hold a survival trial. Only the five strongest survivors would be worthy to serve him.

And now, Yuuto and Fairy Tail were simply weeding out the weak ahead of schedule.

"Weaklings have no right to follow God, but you…" Enel declared arrogantly, "kneel and swear allegiance!"

"Little ghost, who are you talking to? You actually want to make us surrender? Do you know who you're facing?" the war reporter Morgans shouted indignantly.

"What's in front of you is Fairy Tail. You should be begging for mercy, not the other way around," Morgans continued, draped in tiger skins, fearless with Fairy Tail at his back.

Though Morgans' words were brash, they were essentially correct. For an arrogant god like Enel, a foul-mouthed challenger like Morgans was enough to match his arrogance.

Soon, Morgans' rant ended, and Enel's face darkened like a stormy sky.

"Good, if you know fear… but who do you think you're kidding?" Morgans taunted.

Enel didn't reply. The answer came from Sky Knight Ganfur.

"Enel!!!" Ganfur yelled, revealing the truth.

"Enel? The Sky Island God Enel that the Sandia and the Divine Soldiers spoke of? I don't see what's so great," Morgans scoffed.

Enel ignored him, his gaze shifting to Ganfur. In his view, Ganfur was just another bird and beast. Why waste divine anger on animals?

"Enel… what have you done to my men?!" Ganfur demanded.

"Ha ha ha ha!" Enel's form flashed, moving from the mast to stand beside Ganfur.

"Nani?!" Morgans' eyes widened. Even with years in the New World, and his partial mastery of Observation Haki, he couldn't track Enel's speed. All he saw was a fleeting flash of deep blue lightning.

"How is this possible…? Yuuto should be the only one with Logia Thunder Fruit ability!" Morgans muttered.

"Don't worry, Ganfur," Enel said teasingly. "Your subordinates are fine. I won't touch them… not yet."

"What is he talking about?" Ganfur muttered under his breath.

"This… will only be revealed in time. Perhaps a year from now, you'll understand," Enel said with a smirk.

"One year? Don't be ridiculous, Big Ear Boy!" Morgans blurted.

"Bird and beast! Have I tolerated you too long? Are you so eager to die?" Enel's voice boomed, thunder crashing in his wake.

Chi chi! Deep blue lightning flickered. In an instant, Morgans' body was scorched black, falling powerless to the ground. Not even Erza could react in time—until her flying sword cut through the space where Morgans had been.

"It worked!" Nami cheered.

"Is this the so-called God of Sky Island?" Vivi asked, shocked.

"No! Not yet," Robin said, eyes narrowing.

"He has no physical body—he's a Logia too!" Erza realized.

Chi chi! Electricity surged. Enel's severed head reformed instantly, showing no injury.

"He's also a Logia user?!" Nami's eyes widened.

"A Logia Thunder Fruit user alone can be one of the strongest beings!" Robin concluded.

Until now, everyone assumed Sugisawa Yuuto was the only Logia Thunder Fruit user—but the true lightning master was Enel. And yet… Yuuto seemed ready, a smile playing across his face.

"Change armor—Thunder Emperor's Armor!" Erza commanded, recognizing Enel's deadly potential. The armor, used previously against Lagosas, mitigated lightning attacks and gave her the edge needed against Enel's elemental powers.

"Wait, Erza," Sugisawa Yuuto called as she prepared to strike. "This one's my prey. Rest for now."

A flash of gold, and Sugisawa Yuuto appeared before Enel. The lightning god froze, pupils narrowing. This movement… it was the signature of a thunder-based fighter, yet performed by someone else.

"Who are you?" Enel demanded.

Sugisawa Yuuto ignored him. With a flick of his hand, gravity magic lifted the electrocuted Morgans toward Wendy, who immediately healed him using her sky magic. Despite not being a guild member, Morgans' life had been spared.

"Do you know what you're doing? You're ignoring God's question!" Enel roared.

"God? Zhong Er? Ha… these so-called little devils like to call themselves gods," Sugisawa Yuuto sneered.

"Disappear!" Enel raised his hand.

Chi chi! Thunder erupted.

"Rice Wife!!" Enel's lightning engulfed Sugisawa Yuuto's body.

"Ha ha! Fighting God…?" Enel laughed—but stopped, shocked.

Yuuto, struck by lightning, was unharmed, casually scratching his ears.

"How… can this be?" Enel screamed, unleashing even more thunderbolts.

This time, Yuuto inhaled. Every bolt of lightning, every surge of thunder, was drawn into his mouth.

"Hurp~ Delicious! Got more?" he burped, nodding with satisfaction.

Enel was utterly dumbfounded. His ultra-high voltage attacks, capable of killing ordinary humans, were devoured like food.

Not just Enel—Nami, Vivi, Robin, Marianne, Ganfur, and even the Sandia Warriors who had arrived, watched in shock.

"The president… ate the lightning!" Nami exclaimed.

"Elemental attacks mean nothing to him. This… is incredible!" Robin whispered.

"That's dragon slayer magic," Erza explained. "It feeds on its corresponding element. Wendy swallows the atmosphere, and the president swallows lightning. It also strengthens them!"

"If that's the case… he's invincible?" Vivi's eyes gleamed.

"Yes. Logia users are dangerous, but against Yuuto… they're powerless," Robin concluded.

The Sandia Warriors all shared the same thought.

"Unbelievable! He actually ate Enel's lightning!"

"The strongest attack is useless!"

"Hahaha… the end of Enel is coming!"

Enel growled, infuriated.

"Don't get cocky. This has just begun. Let's see how much lightning you can eat!" Yuuto taunted.

Enel struck his golden drum, summoning thunderbirds and thunder beasts, a total of sixty million volts of raw lightning power.

But Sugisawa Yuuto remained calm. With a single breath, the Thunderbirds and Thunder Beasts were pulled into his mouth, powerless against him.

"Not enough… not even close," Sugisawa Yuuto muttered. To activate the Dragon King Seed, even more lightning was needed. He was still a million steps away from Thunder Dragon King Mode…
