Sugisawa Yuuto took a deep breath.
The thunder dragon Enel had summoned was sucked down like noodles, vanishing into his body. The sheer force of this action made Enel's eyes darken; he staggered and nearly fell. From the initial Rice Wife discharge to the Thunderbird, Thunder Beast, and finally the Thunder Dragon, Yuuto had accepted everything thrown at him, devouring it all.
His body seemed like a bottomless pit—there was no limit to what it could take in. This was all thanks to the Dragon King species within him. Even a Dragon Slayer Mage had limits to how much elemental energy could be absorbed at once—but until now, all the lightning he had consumed had been used solely to awaken the Dragon King species. That was why Yuuto could continue absorbing Enel's attacks without faltering.
"Is this the so-called god?" Yuuto asked, grinning as he unleashed yet more aggressive attacks. "You should have stronger moves! Otherwise, when I strike, you won't even get a chance!"
"Are you joking?!" Enel snapped, finally taking the bait. His anger surged.
"I don't know what trick you're using to counter my lightning, but in this world, there is only one Thor, and that's me—God Enel!" he growled.
He firmly believed that only a true Thunder Fruit user could exist alongside thunder and lightning—and he was that one.
Chi chi! Chi chi chi chi!
Enel's powers surged under the stimulus of his fury. Countless electric snakes coiled around him like demonic tentacles.
Boom! Boom boom boom!
The golden staff in his hands struck the three thunder drums behind him in rapid succession, unleashing the full potential of the lightning stored within him. The air trembled with the deafening rumble of thunder, shaking the ground beneath Nine Nine Three.
Layer upon layer of dark blue lightning spiraled around Enel, crackling violently.
"Ha ha ha! 200 million volts—Thor!!!"
Enel's laughter roared across the sky like thunder itself. A titan formed entirely of thunder and lightning appeared, majestic and terrifying. In this moment, Enel embodied the God of Thunder, a celestial arbiter of punishment. His destructive aura radiated in all directions, making even the bravest hearts tremble.
"You are mere mortals. I am a god. A mortal can never kill a god. Prepare to accept divine punishment! Yahahahaha!"
The Thor Titan exuded arrogance and overwhelming confidence. Even Ganfur, the proud Sandia Warriors, and the battle-hardened War Ghost Weber were struck with awe and fear. This power was beyond human comprehension—a force comparable to natural disasters.
"President… can you still eat that?" Vivi's small pink fists clenched nervously.
"Certainly," Erza replied calmly.
"Our president is a glutton," Mirajane smiled knowingly. She had long observed Yuuto's insatiable appetite—whether consuming food, elements, or energy, it was never enough.
"Then I'm relieved. Come on, President, devour that titan!" Nami cheered, waving her fist.
"No problem," Yuuto responded with a nod. Wiping the corner of his mouth, his eyes gleamed with hunger and aggression. The Thunder God Titan before him would fuel the Dragon King species, if he could devour it entirely.
Yuuto's intent gaze unsettled Enel, whose arrogance began to waver.
"In front of a god, even the most brazen arrogance has limits!" the Thor Titan thundered.
"Afraid?" Yuuto asked lightly.
"Afraid? Ha! That word doesn't exist in a god's dictionary!" Enel bellowed.
"Then the one who should be afraid… is you!" Yuuto shot back.
Suppressing the unease in his chest, Enel's titan clenched its fists and smashed down with the force to crush mountains and split the earth.
Chi chi!
Golden lightning flowed from Yuuto like a river.
"The Jaw of the Thunder Dragon!"
Under Yuuto's control, the gold lightning formed a massive dragon jaw, meeting Enel's fist head-on. With a mighty snap, the arm of the Deep Blue Thunder God Titan was torn off, absorbed entirely by Yuuto.
"Nani?!" Enel cried, too slow to react. Yuuto leapt forward again, biting through the titan's shoulder, then waist, torso, and finally the head. One bite after another, he devoured the Thor Titan, leaving holes throughout its body.
The onlooking girls and Sandia Warriors were dumbfounded. The invincible Thor Titan had no chance to fight back. Within minutes, only a small fraction of the titan remained, including Enel himself. Yet Yuuto's hunger was unsated. The Thunder Dragon's jaws opened, swallowing Enel's body to drain the remaining lightning—though he spat it out in distaste.
Boom!
Enel hit the ground, dazed. He couldn't comprehend it. The most powerful move of a Logia Thunder Fruit user—the 200 million-volt Thunder God Titan—had been torn apart and devoured. This was impossible! Humans couldn't consume thunder… and yet, here was Yuuto doing exactly that.
Enel struggled to rise, face pale, forehead beaded with sweat, feeling a void in his core. No matter how much he called himself a god, he was still human. His energy, his lightning… had limits. For the first time since obtaining the Thunder Fruit, he had experienced true powerlessness.
Yet even after draining Enel's lightning, Yuuto was not satisfied. He had come close, but the Dragon King species had not yet fully awakened. The progress bar read 99.9%—just shy of completion.
This reminded Yuuto of his past life's "Bing Xixi chopping knife routine"—over 60,000 blades hacked in the live broadcast room, yet still unable to break through.
Thunder Dragon King Mode… Yuuto wanted it no matter what. His eyes returned to Enel, who trembled under his predator-like gaze.
Chi chi! Lightning flickered as Yuuto approached the terrified god.
"You reached your limit before I even moved. Is this a god?" he teased, ready to provoke Enel's potential further.
Beyond the Thor Titan, Enel had another move—the Lei Ying—enough to destroy islands and nations. If Yuuto could consume that, perhaps the Dragon King species could finally awaken.
But this time… Yuuto's aggressive method failed. No matter what he tried, Enel couldn't produce anything more.
"Aren't you a god? Keep discharging!" Yuuto demanded, lifting Enel like a chicken by the neck.
"No… no, I… I really… have nothing left!" Enel's face went liver-colored. At last, he realized the gap between himself and Yuuto—a chasm as vast as the sea itself. Yuuto treated him as he did ordinary humans, completely crushing him. Fear unlike anything before gripped Enel.
"What a useless god!" Yuuto shook his head, slamming Enel back and forth. In moments, Enel's body was shattered, collapsing onto the island cloud like a dead dog.
Sugisawa yuuto raised his hand, and lightning struck Enel repeatedly—not to kill, but to restore him enough to unleash another Thor Titan. Yet as a Logia in this world, Enel could not recover by consuming the same element; he could only regain strength by eating physical matter. Yuuto shook his head, giving up for now.
"President~"
"The president is amazing~"
"What the hell… Enel turned out to be a paper tiger?"
The girls of Fairy Tail rushed forward, surrounding Yuuto. On the other side, the Sandia Warriors cheered.
"Enel… Enel is down!"
"God Enel is defeated!"
"President Sugisawa Yuuto, long live!"
Even Morgans, the war correspondent, got up, limping forward. Looking at Enel like a dead dog, he burst out laughing.
"You stinky brat, today's your day. I told you long ago to surrender, but you resisted. This is what happens—you deserved it!"
Morgans couldn't contain his glee, kicking Enel twice for good measure.
Ka ka ka!
Suddenly, cracks spread across the battlefield, forming an intricate network. Before anyone could react, a deafening bang shook the ruins of the island cloud. Beneath them, the legendary city of Shandora was finally revealed.
"Ah…"
"Ah ah ah!"
The Sandia Warriors shouted, exhilarated.
"It hurts so bad… here it is!" Morgans exclaimed, still shielding his head in disbelief.
"No mistake… this is the Golden Land of Radora!" Robin said, excited.
"The Golden City!" Vivi gasped.
"Golden gold!" Nami's eyes sparkled with greed.
Sa Yazi darted around, searching for treasure—but five minutes later, disappointment set in.
"The president lied! The Golden Land is supposed to be full of gold, but there's not even a hint of it!"
"Golden Bell?"
"Where's the Great Clock Tower?!"
Even the Sandia Warriors lost enthusiasm. Gold mattered little; the Golden Clock Tower symbolized the 400-year accord between Nolando and Carl Gala.
"Obviously the Golden Town has been found, but no gold and no bell tower… what's going on?"
Erza, Mirajane, Juvia, and the others looked to Yuuto. They trusted him implicitly—surely he had a solution.
Yuuto set aside the Dragon King matter for now.
"Don't worry. There will be gold, and the Golden Clock Tower will return!"
He gestured skyward. Click!
Rumble!
A Canjin Thunderbolt pierced an island cloud hundreds of meters above. From the sky, a golden object fell, glowing brilliantly in the sunlight.
"Yellow… gold!"
"That's… the Golden Bell Tower!"
"The Golden Bell has fallen from the sky!"
The girls and Sandia Warriors screamed in delight.
Yuuto leapt forward, holding the base of the Golden Bell Tower with one hand, landing solidly.
The melodious, high-pitched bells rang out, spreading through the entire Sky Island. After four hundred years, the fire of Shandora had been rekindled.
That night, the Golden City shone brightly. Enel, the common enemy of Shandia and Sky Island, was defeated. With the bell tower restored and Fairy Tail at the center, centuries-old grievances ended. Freedom was celebrated with warmth and joy.
Yet… Sugisawa Yuuto remained disinterested. Two problems still demanded his attention.
First, the Dragon King species had not fully activated after absorbing Enel's lightning. He needed another method.
Second, the matter of new partners loomed. After completing the Sky Island plot, the guild level would rise again. The reward? A new Fairy Tail companion—summoned here on Sky Island. Yet this time, the partner seemed to be playing hide-and-seek, absent for over half a day.
"President, what's the trouble?" blue-haired Wendy asked, concern in her eyes.
"I'm wondering how to fully separate Enel's Thunder Fruit ability, Wendy. Any ideas?" Yuuto asked casually.
"Ah… I'm sorry, President…" Wendy frowned.
Then, the next second:
"Of course I can!" Wendy said confidently.
