Late at Night
Fairy Tail – President's Room
"President, how's the integration of that ability going?"
The blue-haired Baixi Lolita, Wendy, asked softly.
Yuuto nodded. "It's going well."
The Logia Thunder Fruit ability, stripped from Enel's body, had now fully integrated into Sugisawa Yuuto's body, successfully activating the Dragon King Seed. His Thunder Dragon King mode had launched, still growing stronger with every passing moment.
"All thanks to your help, Wendy!" Yuuto said, rising to gently pat her small head.
"It's fine if it goes well," Wendy replied calmly, swatting his hand away.
"Then it's time for you, President, to fulfill your promise!"
Yuuto sank into the sofa chair. "So, Wendy, what do you want me to do?"
"Haven't you noticed yet? What a dull president~" Wendy teased with a light chuckle.
There was a pause.
"Irene Bell Serion, it should be!" Yuuto exhaled softly as he spoke the name.
"Bingo!" Wendy snapped her fingers.
Another silence followed.
Four days ago, Yuuto had been puzzled. Sky Island had entrusted many high-level layers, and guild-upgrade partners had been summoned—but why hadn't they appeared? The new partner's arrival point was still Sky Island, so nothing was wrong there.
After defeating Enel and securing Sky Island's present, the new partner should have quickly joined the main force. But that hadn't happened.
Yuuto had explored the entire island in person over the past three days. Even Lord Nolan, the ruler of Sky Island, had searched the depths of the serpent's territory.
Fortunately, the new partner hadn't been swallowed by the great snake—but that only deepened the mystery.
Could the new partner be the sixth child, one who knew invisibility magic? Yuuto considered it. Or perhaps the partner had been with him all along, unnoticed.
At once, his mind went to Wendy. On the second day of separating Enel's Devil Fruit ability, Wendy had seemed dazed, almost unaware of the events. Since then, Yuuto had entertained a vague suspicion: the high-level additional magic used to separate Enel's power might not have been a reward Wendy earned from the Sky Island quest, but borrowed from someone else—perhaps the creator of dragon-slaying magic.
Now, Yuuto confirmed his theory. The true identity of the new partner had been revealed: one of the twin walls of Alba Reiss, the Dragon Mother Irene, known as Scarlet Despair.
Yuuto had always assumed that system partners summoned for him were affiliated with Fairy Tail—but this summoning reached across the entire Fairy Tail world.
"What's wrong, President? Surprised by my identity?" Irene asked, smiling as she perched on his desk. Her small, white feet dangled in the air.
Yuuto reached out and grabbed one dangling foot. "You and Wendy should coexist peacefully now," he said.
"That's right!" Irene nodded. "To be precise, I'm attached to her. Her consciousness runs the show normally; I only emerge when she's asleep or activated."
Yuuto understood. Four days ago, Wendy's confusion had given Irene a chance to take control temporarily. As long as she didn't harm Wendy, there was no issue. Irene was already a Fairy Tail member, and Yuuto, as president, had full favorability with her.
Yuuto checked the system panel; Irene's name and personal information now appeared as a confirmed partner.
"So, Irene big sister, what do you want me to do?" he asked, bringing the conversation full circle.
"Big sister!" Irene pouted.
"If you don't like 'big sister,' then call me Aunt… old lady…" Yuuto teased, tossing titles casually.
Irene bared her silver teeth. Women, regardless of strength, always fussed over titles—she was no exception.
She regained her composure quickly. "What I want is simple. I want a body. A normal body of my own, not one I have to share all day."
Yuuto was unsurprised. Four hundred years ago, Irene had attached a dragon to herself using additional magic to create dragon-slaying abilities. But prolonged use had transformed her body gradually into a dragon, erasing her humanity. She had even briefly desired Erza's body to regain normalcy.
"I don't have what you want right now, but I will prepare it as soon as possible," Yuuto promised. In this world, human life was often undervalued—it would be simple to find a vessel for Irene.
"Don't lie, President!" Irene pressed her foot against his chest. "You do have the best body on this ship right now, don't you?"
Yuuto narrowed his eyes but remained silent.
"The Myth of Light—Meteor Star, or the Heart of the Goblin—it should be there!" Irene pressed bluntly.
"That's right," Yuuto nodded.
Months ago, traveling to the world of Pirates, he had awakened the Fairy Tail system. His initial gifts had included Thunder Dragon Slayer magic and the Fairy Tail layer. Even Erza didn't know the guild's deepest secret:
Beneath the guild lay Meteor Star—Fairy's Heart, a hidden, mighty magic surpassing Fairy Law, Fairy Brilliance, and Fairy Ball. It granted wizards unlimited magical power aboard the ship, replenished immediately when returning to the guild.
"How about it, Zhang?" Irene asked.
"No," Yuuto shook his head calmly. Some things were absolutely not negotiable.
Irene feigned disappointment. "The 'mean' president deserves a little punishment," she teased, wiggling her white feet further.
The next morning, Wendy rubbed her sleepy eyes and entered the guild hall.
"Good morning, Xia Lulu~"
"Wendy, what's wrong? Didn't you sleep early last night?" Xia Lulu asked.
"I don't know… my feet are so sore this morning!" Wendy pressed them. Her socks were missing; Mirajane had found and cleaned them up.
"Wendy, here's your breakfast!" Mirajane said, then approached Yuuto with coffee, a mischievous half-smile on her face.
"Don't think about it. There's a reason for this," Yuuto said seriously.
"Yes, yes, but if you ever want it again, just come to my room," Mirajane replied earnestly.
Yuuto gritted his teeth. Irene now occupied Wendy's body. He couldn't intervene yet—but when the right vessel was prepared, he would make sure she understood the cost of provoking the president.
Suddenly, Nami ran into the guild hall, nearly speechless with excitement.
Soon, the Fairy Tail crew, led by Yuuto, arrived at Bell Tower Square. Sunlight reflected brilliantly off not just the Golden Clock Tower—but a massive golden ship as well: the Proverbs of the Ark, built from Enel's collection of gold from the entire Golden City.
"President Yuuto, this ship is your reward for helping us. Please accept it!" Ganfur and the old Sandia chief said solemnly.
Yuuto considered the massive ark. It had the potential to fly to the sky if completed, perhaps even reaching the moon. But for him, and with Fairy Tail fully equipped, the half-finished ship was of limited use.
"President~" Nami pleaded eagerly, afraid he'd refuse such a treasure.
Yuuto agreed. "But, Ganfur, may I dismantle it?"
"Of course. It was Enel who forced my subordinates to build it. I would have dismantled it myself for you anyway," Ganfur replied.
Yuuto set to work, stripping planks until only the golden frame remained. Using Erza's magic sword and his Thunder Metallurgy, he melted the gold into a controlled mass, forming the prototype of a clock tower.
Nami gasped. "Cave of Spica!"
In coordinated effort, Nami and Juvia created a massive pool to quench the molten structure. Finally, Yuuto plunged the golden tower into water, steam rising endlessly. Wendy blew across the mist to clear it.
Yuuto lifted the Golden Bell Tower with one hand and installed it atop the Fairy Tail guild in Magnolia. Now, the guild had a warning bell unlike any other.
"Hahaha! Yuuto, you truly are a miracle worker!" Morgans laughed, flapping dramatically.
"God Sugisawa yuuto!"
"Please lead us, God Sugisawa yuuto!"
The people of Sky Island and Sandia cheered, hoping he could become their god—but Fairy Tail's sights were set on the Sea of Stars, not a single island.
Three days later, after exploring Sky Island, taking countless photos, and enjoying the sights, Fairy Tail set sail back to the Grand Line.
Meanwhile, news of Shandora's golden town spread across the world via the World Economic News, shocking the world utterly.
