Chapter 13 - road to victory

In the Kingdom of Maleina, soldiers and heroes are defending their realm from giant vines that seem to have a life of their own. The vines charge into the kingdom but are momentarily delayed by the valiant soldiers and heroes who stand their ground.

"Men! We must stand tall! Do not waver! Keep fighting!" commands Gen, rallying the knights and heroes of the kingdom as they battle fiercely against these forces of nature. "Do not yield! Allow no vines to pass. Fight for the kingdom, fight for your lives, fight for your people, fight for Maleina!" he shouts as he charges into the battlefield, adorned in his golden Armor. He swings his blade against the charging vines, wiping out everything in front of him and leaving nothing but a glimpse of gold.

The soldiers and heroes were astonished by what they had just witnessed. "Whoa, that's an A-Rank hero for you. He didn't even break a sweat," one of the soldiers remarked. At that moment, the vines began to regrow. "This is getting annoying, and it seems like he won't be able to keep up for long. Sera better finds a solution in the Elven village," Gen said as he prepared for the next attack.

"The vines are currently spread around the kingdom, and each is protected by a few soldiers and a few heroes, and one A-rank." Gen slices the vines down once more. "I wonder what caused a sudden surge of these vines. They were advancing slowly until 3 days ago, almost like something had awakened them." Gen thinks.

In the castle, the council gathered in a 6-seat round table, one for the king, and the other were for the council members.

King Alden, Ruler of Maleina

General Kael, Commander of the Royal Guard

High Seer Lysara, Advisor of Mystics

Chancellor Orin, Treasurer, and trader

Guild Master Roder, He's the head of the adventurers' guild

Eldrin Vale, He's the royal researcher

Inside the Marble Chamber, called The Round Hall, they are all gathered to discuss the upcoming threat and how to deal with it.

The King stood before the council and welcomed them; they all bowed in respect. King Alden started to speak." As we are all aware of what is happening outside the kingdom, I have summoned you all here to discuss the future of this kingdom," he said.

"As much as I like to explain what's happening and what's causing this, we have no time, as we know that they cannot fight all night. We must come up with a solution to deal with this situation." King Alden says.

Eldrin Vale enters the conversation." Over the last two days, I discovered that the Vines are responding to certain pieces of it. it seems something has awakened it."

King Eldin: So that something is in our kingdom?

Eldrin Vale: Yes, this morning I discovered that the Veyra is connected to the Elves. So, I sent the princess to find the solution in the Elven village. Let's wait for her, then risk evacuating the people at this time of night.

King Eldin: I understand. I have heard that General Kael and Guild Master Roder have joined forces. Thank you for that information. However, I will need both of you to prepare the people for evacuation, just in case my daughter returns with unsettling news. I will need you to clear a path for my people.

Both stand and bow respectfully.

They respond, "We will do as you command, Your Majesty."

King Eldin: Let's conclude the meeting here.

The rest of the attendees stand, bow, and leave the round table.

"I fear for my people and this future. If I lose this one, what would the other kingdoms think of me? I will give it my all as king." Kind Alden thinks.

In the Elven Village, after spending considerable time learning about the history of the elves, Sera prepares to leave. Chief Altherion presents her with a gift, which is wrapped in green leaves and shaped like a medicine bottle. "This contains what you need to halt the advancing woods," he explains. "However, once you stop them, their Veyra will gather in one location, and you may need to battle it to fully overcome the threat." With that, Chief Altherion sends her on her way.

An elf spoke to Chief Altherion. "Is it acceptable to sacrifice the essence of the last chiefs?" she asked. "Yes," replied the chief, "one of our chiefs is responsible for this. We are at fault, so I have no choice." Chief Altherion speaks.

Back in the kingdom, the battle raged on as the soldiers and heroes held their ground against the advancing vines. "With every cut we land, they only seem to grow bigger. We don't stand a chance," one hero thought as he skilfully danced through the vines, slicing them apart effortlessly. "Sword Arts: Dancing Musketeer!" he called out, executing a rapid slash with his graceful style and clearing the vines that were in front of him.

He is known as Marcel, the dancing musketeer and an A-Rank Hero. "Man, you should stay back and rest; conserve your energy for now. I will handle everything that comes," he speaks as he dances.

On the other side of the kingdom, A flash of lightning lights up the sky and destroys everything in sight. The man responsible is Fillo; he can tame storms and lightning. He's the only man alive in this day of age that is blessed by the god of light; he's a rank A+ Hero,

He is a shy character who prefers to do things on his own. One day, a soldier approaches him with a message: "Princess Sera has returned from the Elven Village. She requests that all Rank A individuals gather at Sir Gen's fighting area and evacuate all other soldiers and heroes."

The soldiers and lower-ranked heroes began to evacuate, while Fillo flew directly to the Gens fighting area. Upon his arrival, he found everyone gathered there. Sera opened a bottle and hurled it at the charging vines, and everyone watched as it flew through the air.

The vial broke, and a green chemical spilled out. The moment it touched the vines, they immediately withered. A brilliant green light illuminated the sky as it spread through the roots of every tree and vine. Among this glowing aura, a woman began to emerge from the vines.

She towered like a giant, appearing trapped within the woods. Tears streamed down her face as she screamed, "Thalrion!" with all her might.

"This is it; we must take her out," Sera said to the others. "How do we take down that colossal woman?" Gen asked. At that moment, the woman screamed again, and her scream created a shockwave that shook the castle walls, causing cracks to form. The sound of her scream was as painful as it was loud.

"Do you see? We can't let her destroy everything before she screams again!" Sera shouted, charging ahead. The others followed her into battle.

Unforeseen events have unfolded in the Kingdom of Maleina, as Sera and others battle for their realm in the Red Sea. Rex finds himself in a perilous situation as he flees for his life.
