The Waster house walking through the dark night, the sun slowly climbed the dark ladder they backed, reaching its arms above and beyond them guiding the way, in no time they mate gaze with the split tongue of the river
"We are about to reach the third split" said Fraymon "Now... will we be cutting through it with prayers and believes or?"
Torden replied to him" Look"
They saw a castle built right upon the split's waters; its wings reached the edges sinking its claws and fangs in the sturdiest of its dirt
"Wow! what is that" said Fraymon
"Our way through" replied Torden
They continued forward as they saw more and more of it, it was majestic, a ship of rocky walls and iron gates unable to move a palm's distance, upon the gates stood some guards watching the Carriages come closer
From the crowd a guard carrying the house's banner stood forth, waving it glorious colours declaring who knocks the doors, before vanishing into the crowd
The gates climbed slowly allowing entry as Fraymon said to his brother Torden
"Doesn't this affect the water trading routs, I mean closing the river to allow carriages a walk is going to bring loses in other ways"
"Look closer" replied Torden "This is why you need to consternate in your classes"
The moment they entered they saw the castle split by two, inside of it the river flow was uncut, allowing travels across the water, their was a bridge in the middle wish was movable
"Why go through such lengths" said Fraymon "I mean, isn't it a waste of resources, they could've made a hanging river without any of this fancy stuff"
"It was made back in the day when we fought the Vikings. Allowing us to cut their way and take control over most of the region," said Torden
"And why are we still reconstructing it to this day? I don't of any wild men on the rear anymore" replied Fraymon
"Sometimes, you need to stop asking questions" said Torden, his eyes giving the hint that they should not speak of such things in front of the guards
While their carriage was being inspected by some guards, he and his brother were the only ones in it, their parents were on a different one
The other carriage undergoing a very strict search, Fray stepped down alongside his brother and continued to talk with his brother saying
"So, this must've stood for nearly 250 years"
"Who knows" said Torden
"What do you mean?" asked Fraymon
"Well, we only have the scriptures of the capital talking about it, no other house witnessed the great march of the sea" replied Torden
"And why would the capital lie about something like this?" replied Fraymon
"To hide their past mistakes" said their father, Lord Kailer
"What mistakes?" said Fraymon "Do you mean their altered the history to try and show themselves undefeated? This is nothing new, it is something everybody does"
"No, not to be seen undefeated" said his father "at least that is not the sole reason,"
"What other reasons could there be?" said Fraymon
"Do you think we spread across the land and built all of this over night? Bloodless carrying buckets of flowers?" said his brother Torden
Fraymon looked at him and said "I know that royal bloods of the past conquered with blood, but what does that have to do with fake history"
A horn blew ringing the ears, announcing that the inspection went well and the carriages are free to go
"Go back to your carriage children" said their father leaving Fraymon still full of questions
"What did he mean earlier?" Fraymon asked his brother
"It did not take only 300 years to go through all of this land taking and rebuilding it" said Torden "Especially with how strong the people that stood in our way were"
"And how long do you think it took?" said Fraymon climbing and sitting in the carriage
"I don't know" replied Torden "If something like this was known, you would've at least heard about it"
"So, you are just theorizing? You don't have anything to back it up? Nor does father?" said Fraymon
Torden looked at him and said "Well, everything started with observing eyes and curios minds after all"
The carriages went through the other gate and into the open grass field, small houses were scattered everywhere, and so did the trees, what truly filled the empty lands was how they were cultivated, there weren't many fallows' fields
Every now and then you could see some small villages or sole houses with little storages around them, the land was almost fully cultivated with all kinds of crops and trees
"The kingdom truly is the richest, no wonder they say it has no need for gold" said Fraymon
"You really know nothing about it" replied Torden
"I never came here; you were the only one to visit it" replied Fraymon
"I wasn't even 10 years old" replied Torden
"Anyways, do they not fear thieves or bandits coming through the river to steal and run?" said Fraymon
"That is why castles like these were built across the waters" replied Torden
"Castles? You mean there are others?" said Fraymon
"6… Maybe 5 in total" replied Torden "There were rumours about an attempt to connect them, but with us being the only source for such materials, and with some internal conflicts over the ownership over it, the idea was declined in no time"
"Conflicts? With whom? Who owns these?" said Fraymon
"Well, the ownership was split between both houses Hallow stones and the Kazar Family, maybe A 3 to 2 ratio" replied Torden
"Wait, we don't have any?! But we are the ones supplying both the resources and the water!" replied Fraymon
"As I said, internal conflicts" replied Torden
They stood upon the gates of the capital, huge and strong, banner dipped in gold had the majestic sign of the Kazar family
A Boat crossing a sea of red, leading a herd of his brothers
"We reached our destination" said Torden as the castle gates opened, guiding them to the unknown
