According to the "System's" prompts, and the detailed explanation of the spell Genshin Descent, if Renjiro wanted to obtain new characters or weapons, he first had to verify his bloodline.
In simpler terms: roll the gacha.
And the rules tied to it gave him an overwhelming sense of déjà vu.
The basics were as follows,
The Genshin System had only one banner: a single, all-inclusive Comprehensive Pool.
Within it, Renjiro could "set a path" (choose a target) for either a five-star character or a five-star weapon.
Five-star characters:
Soft pity at 90 pulls.
Path guarantee counter: 1.
Hard pity at 180 pulls.
Five-star weapons:
Soft pity at 80 pulls.
Path guarantee counter: 2.
Hard pity at 240 pulls.
Four-star characters/weapons:
Guaranteed every 10 pulls.
No pathing; purely random.
(And no need for ten-pulls, singles worked just as well.)
The three systems were independent, but you could only path for either a five-star character or a five-star weapon, never both at once.
Aside from the "merged banner" and "characters being pathable," the rules were identical to the ones he knew back in Genshin Impact.
But on top of that,
"Wait, fully constellated characters get removed from the pool?"
That was… surprisingly generous.
Renjiro could tell that his "daily free pull" reward was basically the efficiency of a monthly pass player from his past life.
If dupes of maxed-out characters still dropped, that would've been true cruelty.
Having sorted out the rules, he shifted focus,
"According to Orario regulations, any adventurer who joins a Familia and receives a god's Blessing has to register their personal info at the Guild."
"But that's not urgent. I can do it later."
"What matters now… is my first pull at four a.m. tomorrow."
At that thought, Renjiro glanced sideways at Freya sitting beside him…
"So… uh… where am I staying tonight?"
He ventured cautiously, "Being in the top Familia and all, I assume you cover room and board, right?"
At his question,
"Staying where?"
Freya narrowed her eyes, slowly crossing one elegant leg over the other, her movements languid and dripping with allure.
"What do you think?"
Renjiro gulped nervously.
Then,
"…I think the couch would be really comfortable."

That night, Freya literally kicked Renjiro out of her chambers.
Of course, as the head of Orario's most powerful Familia, she did arrange proper lodgings for him.
As a side note, the clothes he had been wearing, along with his keys, wallet, smartphone, ID, bank cards, and a wad of yuan, were all returned to him.
Thankfully, Freya didn't yet understand just how valuable that "smartphone" could be once unlocked. Otherwise, Renjiro might have lost his most precious possession on his very first day.
================
Later that night,
Unable to sleep in this strange new world, Renjiro lay awake in his room, fiddling with the device in his hands.
Thankfully, the battery still showed 96%.
But,
"Once this runs out, I've got no way to charge it."
Truth be told, in a fantasy world like this, a smartphone could be ridiculously useful.
Forget internet access, the built-in functions alone were worth their weight in gold.
Camera, video, voice recording, flashlight, compass… even in the Dungeon, those could prove invaluable.
And for daily life? Alarms, stopwatch, memos…
Even as a simple "magic tool," it would fetch an absurd price.
At the very least, Freya herself would definitely want to collect such a novelty.
But the problem remained,
"No way to recharge it."
Renjiro tapped idly through his gallery, looking at old photos.
"And it's fragile, too. If only it had the 'indestructible' property like a Genshin weapon…"
Then a bold idea struck him.
"My smartphone… counts as an item, right?"
"So if I let someone else hold it, or maybe stash it in my inventory bag…"
He decided to test it immediately.
To avoid drawing attention, he quietly sat up and activated the lowest-key spell he had: Paimon Manifestation.
No chant needed. Just a single thought.
A tiny figure, about the size of a toddler, appeared floating before him.
The crowned little mascot of Genshin, Paimon.
This miniature cutie shared the same soul-link as Renjiro. Their senses and memories could synchronize at will.
And when he cautiously handed the smartphone to her,
The instant Paimon grasped it,
"No way. It actually works?!"
A grin split across Renjiro's face. He couldn't hold back his excitement.
Clenching a fist, he whispered,
"Hell yes."
Because now, the phone he'd brought from his old world…
"Once registered as a System 'Item,' it's granted infinite energy,
and becomes completely indestructible."
"From now on, Paimon can hold it."
"With her floating around, it's basically like having a flying drone with a built-in flashlight."
