As the city blurred past him, Rihan realized just how light he felt.
Talking to Yeji. Hearing about everyone. Knowing they were alive, messy, flawed and happy.
That was enough.
He had never wished them harm. All he'd wanted back then was distance. Space to exist without being suffocated. A world where he could breathe on his own terms.
And now, somehow, he had that without losing everything he'd left behind.
His phone started ringing. Rihan answered without looking, pressing it to his ear.
"Bunny? Are you—"
"Uh, this is not Bunny."
Jaekyung's harsh voice cut through the line.
Rihan's eyes darkened instantly. His grip on the steering wheel tightened. "Why do you have his phone?"
"Taeryn passed out. He's at the hospital." Jaekyung clicked his tongue.
For a split second, Rihan was sure his heart stopped.
"What?"
"You're supposed to calm him down, hyung," Sangho's voice chimed in faintly from the background, strained and worried.
