Chapter 247 - Chapter 247: This Operation Is Really Amazing!

(P.S. The "[Final Destination]" dungeon has a restriction that prevents the use of special items. This was previously omitted—now corrected. Apologies!)

At the airport terminal.

More than a dozen Samsaras stood by the large viewing windows, staring at the plane outside and muttering among themselves.

"What the f@*k?! Who's the lunatic that stayed on the plane without reading the strategy?"

"Are they insane? That thing's going to explode any second!"

"No way someone that clueless made it to the tenth floor... right?"

"Maybe they've got some kind of special item that protects them from death?"

"Impossible. Not only are there no such items in Samsara Space, but even if they existed, this dungeon prohibits all special item usage. Didn't you read the patch notes?"

"Ah... right. I almost forgot."

Suddenly, one of the Samsaras spoke up.

"Wait, I know who didn't get off Flight 57."

"Who!?"

"It's God Shura!"

Everyone went silent for a moment—then gasped in shock.

"Wait, what?! Why didn't he get off the plane? Doesn't he know it's going to explode?!"

"Think back. Two months ago, there was a case—remember Adam? The guy who survived a direct missile strike."

"Now think carefully. Maybe God Shura is confident he can withstand the explosion with raw power! Maybe he's testing whether staying on the plane could avoid being added to Death's list."

The Samsara paused, then continued his analysis.

"Based on the dungeon lore, Death only hunts those who were supposed to die in the explosion but escaped early. If Shura never left the plane, and survives by his own ability, maybe he'll avoid being marked entirely."

"It's just a theory... but it makes sense."

The others stared at him, stunned.

"Holy crap... is God Shura really planning to tank a plane explosion?!"

"I remember—yeah, the explosion doesn't happen until the plane reaches altitude. This is insane."

"If he pulls it off, it'll be the top-tier strategy for [Final Destination]!"

"Top-tier my ass! You think just anyone can survive a plane explosion at the tenth floor? That's only useful to freakishly strong players like Shura!"

"Fair point…"

"So this is a God-only strategy, huh?"

"Forget that! Look—the plane's taking off!"

The Samsaras player's guess was correct.

It was Fenric who stayed onboard.

His intentions were clear: test whether surviving the explosion from within the plane would keep him off Death's kill list.

Based on the lore, Death only targeted those who escaped their destined deaths. Those who cheated fate by disembarking early became marked.

But Fenric wasn't cheating fate.

He was challenging it.

If he survived this on his own, then theoretically, Death would have no reason to pursue him.

Thanks to his mastery of Advanced Armament Haki, his body was shielded by immense defensive force. The plane's explosion alone wouldn't be enough to kill him.

All that remained was to see whether the gamble would work.

Whirrrrr...

The engine roared to life.

The plane began to taxi.

Fenric inhaled deeply and calmly unfastened his seatbelt.

He knew what was coming.

As the aircraft lifted into the sky, the fuselage suddenly lurched violently.

"Aaaaahhh!!"

Screams erupted from every direction as passengers were thrown into panic.

"What's going on?! Why is the plane shaking?"

"Flight attendants?! Where are they?!"

"Please stay calm! We're making an emergency landing!"

"Oh my God! I don't want to die!"

In economy class, the chaos was deafening.

But Fenric sat still—calm and unmoving, as stable as a mountain.

Then...

BOOM—!!

A thunderous explosion erupted from the engine compartment.

Flames burst outward violently, swallowing the entire aircraft in a blazing inferno.

Passengers were incinerated or torn apart mid-scream by the shockwave.

In that instant, Fenric's Armament Haki surged over his body like a second skin.

The explosion tore through the fuselage. Fenric was thrown out, his clothes disintegrated mid-air, along with the wreckage hurtling toward the ground.

He could have escaped the cabin beforehand—blasted his way out before the detonation.

But he didn't.

He feared that escaping too early would count as fleeing, and put him on Death's list.

So, he endured it all head-on.

Huff… huff…

As Fenric plummeted through the sky, his entire body blackened with soot and glimmering red from his Armament Haki, he grinned.

If he were still using only Grandmaster-level Armament Haki, that explosion might've injured him—if not killed him outright.

But now?

Aside from some internal blood turbulence, he was virtually unharmed.

"So this is the power of Advanced Armament Haki... incredible."

At this point, even if Death did target him, Fenric was confident in his ability to hold his ground.

Unless it brought out nukes or missiles, it wouldn't be easy to kill him.

As he neared the ground, Fenric focused his mind. His Telekinesis force burst outward to cushion the landing.

BOOM—!

He hit the earth like a meteorite, creating a crater beneath him.

Even though his telekinetic force lessened the impact, falling from thousands of meters still packed a punch.

That one definitely hurt.

But he was alive.

Fenric climbed out of the crater, body still unscathed, and immediately darted into the shadows to escape the area.

The authorities would definitely cordon off the crash site soon.

Back at the airport terminal.

As the explosion echoed through the skies, the Samsaras stared in stunned silence.

A flaming figure had fallen from the sky, landed hard... and then ran off unharmed.

"That... that had to be God Shura, right?"

"Who else could survive that?"

"He just tanked a fking plane explosion... and walked it off! Monster!"

"He really did it. But... the question is—will this work? Will he avoid Death's pursuit?"

"Not like it matters to us. Even if his method works, who else could possibly survive that?"

"Yeah... good luck to everyone else. We're gonna need it."
