Chapter 8 – The Mystery Behind the Dungeons
A notification popped up, its cold, digital text sealing his fate.

Detected: The gate of the dungeon has been closed. Everyone entering this dungeon can no longer leave.

Upon reading this, Sam fell silent. The words echoed in his mind, not as text, but as a sentence.
"What?"he mumbled, his voice a hollow whisper of shock. "What does this mean? I can't go out of this dungeon!"
The despair crashed down on him, swift and suffocating. He clenched his fists, his new, god-like power thrumming uselessly within him.
"I still have the power that I just got right now to show my true potential to the people who abandoned me! I wanted to show them they were wrong!"
His voice was on the verge of breaking into tears, but no tears fell from his eyes. Instead, his tone twisted, warping into something raw and unhinged, the sound of a man tipping into madness.
"I do not accept this." His voice was a low, dangerous scrape. Then, it erupted. "I don't accept this! Not at all!"
Suddenly, his aura began to leak from his control, seeping out from his core and spreading throughout the dungeon like a toxic mist. The very air grew heavy and thick with his power.
"No… No… No. I won't accept this fate!" he screamed, his voice tearing through the cavernous space. "Even if I die, I'll destroy this whole place and get out of here!!!!!!!"
With a final, defiant roar, Sam released his full aura without restraint.
"HAAAAAAAAAA...!"
The dungeon, unable to withstand the overwhelming pressure of an enraged Undead God, began to quake violently. Stone shattered. The ceiling cracked. The world around him was coming apart.
The ground beneath his feet gave way entirely, burying him below tons of collapsing rock. But the next moment, a pulse of crimson energy erupted from the rubble. Sam destroyed everything around him and shot upwards, flying through the disintegrating dungeon.
But to his surprise, what he saw when he emerged was truly shocking.
He hovered in the air, his rage momentarily forgotten, replaced by utter confusion.
"U-wait!!! Wh-whats this place?"
He wasn't in a dungeon anymore. He found himself under a clear blue sky, surrounded by jagged mountains and vast caves. The air was fresh, the sun was bright—it was nothing like the oppressive darkness he had just destroyed.
Sam stared in a daze, then muttered, " W-wait what's this place? It looks just like Earth, but the aura is totally different."
Then, a new notification popped up, framed in shimmering gold.

"The mystery behind the dungeons? What's that?" Sam hesitated for a moment, his curiosity warring with his caution. Finally, he made his choice. "Yes…"

[System Log]
Dungeons are not some caves with monsters lurking around. They are ancient sealed gates from another galaxy, or rather, another Universe.
There are countless universes in the whole existence, and dungeons are the key to travel from one universe to another.
However, if one is stuck in another world through the dungeons, then to get out of there, they need to defeat the God-level monster or being of that world… or cooperate with them. If the co-operation is successful with them, then the host can return to his original world.
[System Window]
But if the co-operation is not successful, then the host has to kill the god-level monster or being, devastating the whole planet to return to his original world.
-----
After reading this, a slow, cold understanding dawned on Sam.
"So basically, I am trapped in another world," he summarized, his voice calm and calculating. "And to get out of here, I need to be friends with the one god-level being of this world. But if he doesn't want to be my friend… then I have to destroy the world."
A cruel smile stretched across his face. The despair was gone, replaced by a dark, thrilling anticipation.
"This is going to be interesting."
But then, another notification popped up, this one bearing a stark warning.
-----
[System Window]
Notice! The power level between the god-level beings in the host's world and the dungeons, and the power of god-level beings in another world are totally different.
Sam's smirk vanished. "What?" he said, a frown creasing his face. "What does this mean?"
The System window updated, delivering the final, shocking blow.
[System Window]
The god-level beings here are 10x more powerful than the god-level beings in the host's world and dungeons.
Sam's eyes widened in complete and utter shock.
"What?!?"
