Chapter 37 - Brilliance enough to shut their mouths

It is said that going to see defeat after smelling victory causes one of the most moral agonies. Today was the perfect time to test this hypothesis on Beatrix, who was flying high with my proposal.

Beatrix was trying her best to hide the smile blooming on her face.

She knew that as a teacher, she must uphold her dignity.

Taking a deep breath, she calmed her inner restlessness.

"It's a good thing that an aspiring student like you can give up things like high school romance."

"Students at your age should focus on getting good marks only then you can find a decent chance to get a good chance after graduation."

Beatrix exclaimed, even after repeated tries, she failed to hide the excitement contained within.

Since the agreement was made, there was no time to hesitate.

I slowly walked out of my seat and headed towards the blackboard.

Upon arriving there, Beatrix immediately handed me the chalk.
