Chapter 15: Hidden Boss[2]
The crisis has not been resolved.
No one knows whether this Terrorclaw Bear will suddenly go crazy.
When everyone heard Adrian's voice.
Now they felt like they had just clutched onto a lifeline.
Everyone whispers among them .
" Should will listen him"
" Maybe there is hope , we will survive "
" Ok, let 's believe him one time."
Then surely they had their hope High on Adrian now.
Even Kevin's eyes lit up. Although he was unwilling to listen to Adrian, he was even more unwilling to die.
Besides, dying once would cause him to drop half a level. He had no level at all the previous two times, so he died.
Now I have finally reached level 4. If I die, I will immediately fall out of the first tier.
"Adrian, just tell us, we will all listen to you." Claire Summer said.
The others nodded as well.
Adrian continued.
" My plan is simple, I have noticed that the Terrorclaw doesn't stay still in one place. Every 10 seconds it moves five steps to the left side and then five steps to the right side then continues moving twice in a row."
If my calculations are not wrong then I assume that this monster takes 30 seconds in all those movements," said Adrian.
Kevin scoffed. "So what? You want us to crawl past while it naps? What if you're wrong?"
"Shut up and don't interrupt Adrian." Claire Summer glared at him.
Adrian ignored him and continued his explanation, "When he moves to the right, as long as we stick to the stone wall on the left, we shouldn't be detected by the hatred."
Kevin sneered. "Oh, how convenient. And you just happen to know all this? Whoever tries first will be the test subject. You want to volunteer, Adrian?"
"I will," Adrian said coldly. "If I'm wrong, only I die."
"Kevin, Adrian is not that kind of person." Claire Summer subconsciously defended Adrian.
This made Kevin feel even worse. "How do you know?..He's not that kind of person? He broke my neck before I even left the Novice Village. Who could be more ruthless than him?"
"But..."
As soon as Kevin said this, Claire Summer was unable to refute.
"It doesn't matter, then let your people go first."
Adrian glanced at the two and a half minutes of cursing time he had left and said calmly.
Adrian knew the Terrorclaw Bear very well. Not to mention the Elite Terrorclaw Bear, he had killed countless Terrorclaw Bears.
In addition to this method, Adrian also knew a secret about the Terrorclaw bear, but he didn't want to verify it unless it was absolutely necessary.
Everyone held their breath and waited quietly. Sure enough, the Terrorclaw Bear moved twice with the Duck toy item in his arms and stopped on the right side of the valley entrance.
But Kevin's pride flared. "Not good enough. You could drag it toward us. Faboren, you go first."
A warrior from the Tyrant Guild nodded immediately and walked out along the stone wall.
As he moved, everyone's heart gradually became tense.
Soon Faboren arrived at the point closest to the Terrorclaw Bear.
The bear shifted right. Its toy squealed in its paws.
"Now," Kevin hissed.
Faboren pressed to the wall. Sweat gleamed on his skin. Step by step, he edged closer. The bear loomed, six meters away.
His heartbeat beat faster like thunder then his eyes flicked as used his skill— Charge.
If he rushed now, he could be free. And if the bear noticed? It would be the others who paid.
His lips curled. He lowered his stance to burst forward.
The ground cracked beneath his sprint. The bear's head whipped around.
Red eyes burned.
Faboren froze mid-step, every nerve screaming. Five meters. Too close.
"I can rush out of the valley with one charge. Even if the boss is startled, he will only attack the others inside."
He thought to himself and immediately launched a charge.
However, at the moment he launched the charge, the Terrorclaw Bear seemed to sense his breath and suddenly turned its head to look in his direction.
Faboren panicked and turned into a shadow as he rushed out of the valley, but he did not charge in a straight line, but deviated to the right.
When he stopped, although he had already left the valley, the distance between him and the Terrorclaw Bear was only a little over five meters.
Faboren was scared to death as his legs went limp and he collapsed to the ground.
At this moment, everyone's fear is at its peak like their heart has jumped up their throat.
The Terrorclaw Bear let out a dull growl and sucked its nose gently, but it couldn't see Faboren who was five meters away.
After 3 seconds, the Terrorclaw Bear entered the lost state again.
Sigh ~
At this moment, everyone finally caught their breath as they let out a 'sigh' with relief.
Faboren swallowed again, but did not dare to stand up. Now he could only wait for others to pass by and then he could roll away in the chaos.
Faboren collapsed, trembling. Behind him, the survivors exhaled as one.
---------
"What should we do with Adrian? The boss might be startled at any time?" Claire Summer asked worriedly
Adrian pondered for a moment and said, "To be on the safe side, let's not go one by one this time. Let's act together and try to pass all of them at once."
But you must remain quiet, as any sound may attract the boss's aggression."
Jason said: "Okay, we'll listen to you."
Kevin also spoke: "It's decided, we die together."
"I'll take the lead this time."
An assassin from the Tyrant Guild said this and walked forward.
This assassin volunteered themselves to take the lead. They formed up, creeping forward.
Everyone agreed and started to act immediately.
Claire Summer deliberately stayed at the end and passed with Adrian.
She didn't know why, but being closer to Adrian always gave her a different sense of security.
Adrian and Claire deliberately took the rear. Her heartbeat beat faster then usual but Adrian's calm presence make her steadied.
Six meters. The bear loomed, its fur gleaming gold in the dim light. Its claws twitched even in stillness.
Looking at the Terrorclaw only six meters away, the girl walking in front suddenly stopped.
The girl's legs froze in fear and her legs shook violently as if she couldn't move an inch from this place forward.
Adrian frowned by look at her and then he reminded her.
" There is less time before the Terrorclaw bear start attacking again, let move faster"
The girl nodded to Adiran advice.
She get up from the ground as took a few deep breaths, and decided to move on from the monster area.
Behind the girl was Kevin's who showed panic surged on his face.
He saw the bear twitch, imagining its gaze swinging. Terror burned out and then he continued to walk.
Suddenly he found that the BOSS was showing signs of moving.
He was so anxious that he immediately pushed the girl in front of him hard.
He shoved her hard. "Move, you useless street rat!"
The girl's center of gravity shifted and her head hit a sharp point on the stone wall.
"Ah—!"
The girl screamed and immediately covered her mouth as she thought the bear could hear her.
But it was late as the Terrorclaw Bear still turned around and looked at them.
