Chapter 20 - Loki, Am I the Third Child?

After several days of calm, life returned to its previous routine of school, Kendo Club, and home.

During the day, it was school; in the afternoon, the Kendo Club; and in the evening, fulfilling his 'obligations' at home.

That night, the storm raged once more.

The sounds lasted for nearly two hours before finally subsiding.

Hela, dressed in her pajamas, walked out of the room alone, poured a glass of cold water in the kitAlan, and stood on the balcony, letting the cool night air release some of her emotions.

Queens was exceptionally quiet that night, with no crime, no noisy sounds; the entire city became incredibly still.

At this moment, in such a quiet environment, Daisy's heart gradually calmed down.

"Creak!"

The room door opened, and Alan Folker walked out.

He walked step by step towards the kitAlan, but as he passed the living room, he saw a figure in the moonlight. Under the faint glow, a proud figure was vaguely revealed beneath a transparent nightgown.

Hearing footsteps, Hela immediately turned around and met Alan Folker's gaze, smiling, "Weren't you sleeping just now?"

"A little thirsty!" Alan Folker looked at Hela, his gaze unwavering.

Upon hearing this, Hela remembered the scene from earlier, her pretty face immediately flushed. She drained the water in her hand and replied, "It's time to cool down."

"What, are you afraid I'll 'eat' you again? You're a pregnant woman with a baby; I'll be careful." Alan Folker walked to the kitAlan, opened the refrigerator, took out a bottle of iced water, and as he drank, he walked over to Hela's side, leaning on the balcony railing, gazing into the distance.

The two stood quietly in the moonlight, feeling the gentle breeze, enjoying the calm after the passion, allowing their hearts to settle.

The next day, Alan Folker left the apartment and went to school, starting a new day. He was also diligently working to improve his acting progress.

Hela was inside, attempting to break the second of the ten seals when, suddenly, she felt a wave of pressure from afar.

She slowly opened her eyes, and a phantom appeared on the balcony, gazing at the distant azure sky.

"Destroyer?"

Hela's expression was grave, and she frowned slightly. In the distant town, the energy released by the Destroyer—only she clearly understood what it was.

The Destroyer had always obeyed Odin. Why would it appear in Midgard now?

Because, in Hela's view, besides herself, Odin would never send out the Destroyer. Was it coming to deal with her this time?

Could it be that Odin had already discovered she was breaking the seal?

Many conjectures filled Hela's mind. She was very worried. If Odin really sent the Destroyer to deal with her, with her current power, she would be unable to protect Alan Folker.

Her expression was uneasy as she stood quietly on the balcony, looking into the distance, hoping at this moment that the Destroyer would not appear in Queens.

Meanwhile, in a town in New Mexico.

The Destroyer let out a series of roars, bombarding the town below.

Thor dodged the Destroyer's attacks, weaving through explosions, looking extremely disheveled. Yet, despite this, no fear was evident on his face.

Without Mjolnir, without divine power, Thor was just an ordinary person. The Destroyer's immense destructive power could easily kill him; he knew this all too well. But he knew even more clearly that once the Destroyer appeared, there was no escaping it unless it was destroyed.

Others, facing this scene, panicked and fled in the opposite direction. When they saw Thor charging towards the giant metal monster in the distance, they suddenly stopped.

The people around them looked panicked, watching Thor with worry, quickly running and dodging the Destroyer's attacks.

Fortunately, Thor dodged several consecutive attacks, and he continuously approached the Destroyer.

Just as Thor thought he could kill the Destroyer with the power of a mortal, the next second, an explosion—a powerful flame energy—pierced through Thor's body.

The Destroyer, sensing its target had been killed, slowly turned and walked away into the distance.

Loki emerged from the desert, watching the distant battle, then scanned his surroundings. "Odin said I have an older sister in Midgard?"

"Thor is the second child, so am I the third?"

His expression was somewhat gloomy, his eerie face filled with anger. This made his chances of becoming King of Asgard even more remote; by seniority, it would never be his turn.

"Goddess of Death, Hela, once I deal with Thor, you're next," Loki thought, making his decision.

Hela's expression tightened. Although she hadn't witnessed the scene firsthand, she could feel a powerful divine power. Unlike Odin's, this divine power was very strange, but it vanished in an instant.

And the Destroyer had just attacked. Who was its target?

Now that the Destroyer had stopped attacking, did that mean it had killed its target?

This meant the Destroyer's appearance in Midgard was not aimed at her, and Odin had not discovered her breaking the seal.

Thinking this, Hela's heart immediately lightened considerably, losing the anxiety she had felt moments before. As long as it wasn't her, everything was going smoothly.

"Who on earth would Odin send the Destroyer for?"

Hela's expression was curious. The Destroyer's power was such that even ordinary Asgardian gods couldn't contend with it, so its target must be a very powerful god.

But Hela didn't dwell on it. This wasn't something she needed to care about. No matter who Odin wanted to deal with, even if he came here himself, as long as he didn't disrupt her current life, it was fine.

Right now, Hela only wanted to live peacefully, slowly breaking through the seals, so she could protect her child and Alan Folker.

At this time, Alan Folker was in school, attending class, and didn't feel any energy fluctuations. New Mexico was too far away; even if he were more sensitive, he couldn't detect energy fluctuations from such a distance.

He attended class as usual. Besides classes today, he had an important task: accompanying his girlfriend shopping. This was a sacred event.

Because today they needed to buy baby supplies and some maternity clothes. For Alan Folker, nothing was more important than these things.

To welcome a new life, everything had to be prepared.

He was also exceptionally nervous. In his previous life, he hadn't had the chance to be a father; in this life, he was both a husband and a father, which felt like a dream.

Hearing Hela say they needed to buy these things, he had been excited all day, already eager to prepare many, many things for the baby.

After finishing his morning classes, he left school directly, even taking the afternoon off from Kendo Club.
