Chapter 23 - Chapter 23: Visionary Advice

In order to increase credibility, Scholar Al of Whispering City described to Scholar City the process of the Kleber family's battle to regain their old territory in as much detail as possible.

Bachelor Al did not intend to leak Kleber's secrets, but did so out of his usual rigorous academic habits and a little bit of his own desire to show off.

The lords of Crab Claw Peninsula were brave enough but lacked knowledge.

Green was taught by Bachelor Al since he learned to read. The old man likes to reminisce about it and feels a great sense of accomplishment when he thinks about it now.

Scholar Al is knowledgeable enough, but he is not a general after all. Strictly speaking, he inadvertently leaked some information.

Under the processing of Maester Al's quill pen, Crabbe's combat was quite artistic. Except for a small number of nobles in Westeros who were interested, most of them sneered at it. It was just fighting against wildlings. I can do it too!

Samwell, Randall's eldest son, who is eager to gain his father's approval, is one of the few people who are interested.

After arriving at the Bachelor City, the content stated by Maester Al will be simplified again based on the original content, and then sent by raven to the maester of the "friendly" lord in the continent of Westeros.

Only Samwell, who read a lot every day in Horn Hill Keep in Landor, noticed it and even asked the maester of Horn Hill Keep to ask for a more detailed original from Maester City.

......

Under Randall's majesty, Samwell always hesitated when speaking, which made Randall dislike Samwell even more.

"Father...Father, I have studied the operations of the Kleber family."

Rand acted as if he hadn't heard.

Samwell said to himself that for him, being able to stand here and give advice to his father was already the greatest courage he could muster.

"I've looked up a lot of information. The wildlings of the Crab Claw Peninsula are all natural-born warriors... They're not weak. Baron Green was able to defeat them with just a handful of soldiers. He's worthy of attention. His fighting style is familiar to us..."

The famous general Lando is proud, and his record is also proud enough.

During the Rebellion, he led the army that inflicted the only defeat on Robert Baratheon's army at the Battle of Poplarford.

Randyll Tarly is straightforward and rigid, but has an iron will and shrewdness. He was once praised by Kevan Lannister as the person most capable of ending the war in Westeros after the death of Tywin Lannister.

Lando had naturally read the battle briefing on Crab Claw Peninsula. His eldest son was cowardly and his youngest son was too young. He just sighed that it was a pity that they were not his children.

Samwell's words were interrupted by Randall.

"So, what's the point of studying all this? If you meet on the battlefield, can you defeat Kleber? Or do you think you are braver than the fearless savages? Facing the roar of the warhorse, can you still hold the sword in your hand?"

"Get out of my sight."

Samwell was frightened and anxious. He felt that there must be something wrong with Crab's bow and arrow, and he needed to understand it in depth. Horn Hill should know and master this information in advance. There were many more details that he needed to tell his father.

Samwell was suddenly sweating profusely, and the sweat slid from his forehead to his chin like rain and then dripped down.

"roll!!"

Samwell shuddered violently. Under Randal's cold gaze, the courage he had finally mustered was gone, and he fled the restaurant in a hurry.

......

......

Tyrion came again and told him that Her Royal Highness Queen Green was recovering from her injuries and would not meet with Green until the scars on her face were completely gone, because it would affect her noble image.

After quietly telling the "confidential" information, Tyrion took Green to drink and listen to music.

For five consecutive days, Green could see Tyrion's small figure swaying in front of him every evening.

Every time there is a reason that forces the Greens to go and it is difficult to refuse.

Green was very familiar with Tyrion's tactics, as he had used them in his previous life.

At the beginning, use the most sincere advice, reveal secrets that seem very important on the surface, quickly skip the unfamiliar stage, directly narrow the distance between the two parties, add fine wine and beautiful women, and then... if everything goes well, the other party will have no guard in front of you and will no longer have any secrets.

Green actually wanted to tell Tyrion that high-level hunters often appear as prey.

Green follows Tyrion to experience the luxurious life of the nobles in King's Landing, while very seriously playing the role of an excellent lord who embodies humility, honesty, mercy, wisdom, bravery, justice, sacrifice, and honor.

The serious Green is very scary. He was so immersed in the role that he even believed it in the end.

......

Red Fort, Gardens.

Tyrion sat on a wooden bench with thick dark circles under his eyes, staring blankly at his nephew Tommen and niece Myrcella playing.

Tyrion stretched out his little hand, caught the apple that was thrown to him, and with a snap, he took a big bite.

Jaime looked at Tyrion's condition with amusement, sat down beside him, and looked at Tommen and Myrcella with gentle faces.

Tyrion burped long and drunkenly. "Jaime, I've made up my mind. Starting tomorrow, I will stay away from all wine. The Seven Gods are my witness!"

James smiled happily: "I can't remember how many times you've said the same thing."

"Well, I always forget. But I do need to take a few days off."

"You get along well with the little savage?"

Tyrion nodded. "At such a young age, he's neither anxious nor impatient. Despite living in a barbaric land, he's a keen learner, thirsty for knowledge, and possesses desires without being greedy. And, most importantly, he possesses a kind heart."

James leaned back comfortably on the bench. "Are you judging yourself, my dear brother?"

Tyrion was stunned for a moment, then grinned. "Dear brother, am I so great in your eyes?"

Jaime glanced at Tyrion, who was grinning. "It seems you admire that little wildling."

Tyrion moved closer to Jaime and whispered, "If I were Cersei..."

Tyrion raised his chin, and Jaime's attention shifted to Myrcella. "Myrcella could consider the wildling you mentioned as a marriage partner. He's worthy. This is a..."

James interrupted angrily, "That's enough!"

Tyrion was not frightened by Jaime's sudden shout. Instead, he asked curiously, "Jaime, your reaction is too big. You have to trust my judgment after careful consideration."

Jaime stood up and paced back and forth a few steps, gripping the hilt of the longsword at his waist tightly. "Tyrion, Myrcella is still very young. I don't want you to draw her into any schemes. I will keep her away from disputes and keep her happy forever. The sword in my hand will cleave any dark hand that reaches out to her."

Tyrion blinked, as if trying to process Jaime's situation.

Jaime came back to his senses, looking a little embarrassed. He sighed and sat down again, patting Tyrion's shoulder gently: "I'm so sorry, I really hate it. I was too irrational to marry for profit. Tyrion, I hope I didn't hurt you. I didn't mean to offend you."

Tyrion shook his head and said gravely, "When father arranged for Cersei to marry Robert, it was the first time I saw you lose your mind, the first time you argued with your beloved father. I can try to understand your feelings, and I also like Myrcella very much. She embodies all the beauty I can imagine."

"I'm offering sincere advice, not for any so-called exchange of interests. I'm also Myrcella's uncle."

"But, I still want to remind you, my dear brother, our last name is Lannister. Lannister..."

"Don't think about it anymore. You know I like to joke around, James."

James remained silent.

James clenched his hands tightly and couldn't help but frown.
