Kavya's POV:
The classroom is filled with chatter. We are heading to the chemistry lab. It is the first time I will be doing experiments on my own.
Before entering the lab, we wore lab coats, gloves and glasses. for security purposes, obviously.
"Good morning, students", the teacher said.
"We are having an experiment on titration for which I am going to pair up students in groups of two", she continued.
Wow, group assignment, sounds good. I wish I could be paired up with Kashish. That would be real fun.
Suddenly, the whole class erupted into chaos in front of the teacher over their partner preference.
"Enough!!!" she took a breath ", all desk mates are partners", she said.
"What the hell?" I nearly screamed out, pressing my hand on my mouth. Fortunately, no one heard.
"I heard that", a voice came from my back.
Sidd! Does it really have to happen? Why, out of the whole bunch of students, is it always me who gets stuck with this monkey?
I can see the grinning smile on his face.
"I don't know about you, but your fate always chooses me", he said with a smirk.
"It looks like you are really enjoying getting stuck with me again and again", I shot back with annoyance.
"Obviously, I do. After all, you like me so much that you can't even resist coming back to me," he said and even winced at me.
Lord, can I just poke his eye out? This guy is getting on my nerves. Till now, he was just annoying, but now he is even a flirt?
Another quality I hate in boys.
I was about to reply to him when the teacher interrupted.
"You two have any intention to experiment, or do I have to make you two do that also?" she snapped.
Is she going through menopause? Why is she so loud and short-tempered?
Finally, we begin to experiment. We have to make a light pink colour solution by mixing the solution kept in the pipette with the one we have in the beaker.
I was mixing the chemicals while Sidd controlled the pipette, but this man had no control over his hand.
"We are doing this for the third time. Why can't you let the chemical drop by drop?" I asked, annoyingly.
"That's too boring and time-consuming", he said, frustrated.
"You have to take flight in ten minutes or what?" I snapped back.
"Do it properly", I yelled.
"I am trying"
"No, you are not", I said, almost losing patience.
"Leave it. I'll do that, go handle the beaker", I said, about to command over the pipette.
"No.. I'll do that", he said childishly.
"You had already taken three attempts. Let me do it now", I said.
And in a minute, we were juggling the whole pipette. Then suddenly it fell and broke.
All the students moved toward us.
"It was her fault", Sidd exclaimed.
"No, it was him", I defended.
We begin arguing in front of the teacher.
"Get out, both of you. stand outside the class", she said.
We both moved outside.
Because of him, I have to face this much insult. I swear I will make him pay for everything.
I looked at him with a serious face, and he was also looking at me with anger.
Like I care.
What do he think I am going to apologise? My foot. I shot him back a death stare, and he looked away after giving an annoying look.
