However, some rules are meant to be broken for a change. Different cases have been reported to the Council of Magistry related to this matter that led to the termination of the 1000-years old rule.
It all started when a party of Werewolves entered the human realm by accident way back in the time where a tear in the boundary between humans and magical beings was dire. Unlike Vampires who came pass through the boundary more freely, werewolves on the other hand, have trouble going back. Conflict broke among the pack and they were separated into groups. The vampires they met gave them a really hard condition in exchange for a passage back into their world. However, they refused to submit to these conditions and some failed to meet them resulting to a really brutal payment where the poor werewolves were forced into slavery.
The other pack were still looking for possible ways but time passed quickly and the tear was repaired, making it even more hard to go back. In a result, they thrived in the human world concealing their true identities and some mated with another human, thus, a mix was born.
This wasn't the first case where a mix was born as old books had mentioned. But when a magical being mates with a human, the power passed on to their offspring is weak and will more likely be observed when the child hits puberty. Possible chance is that the offspring won't inherit magic at all as the human cells are likely killing the manna that travels into the other body after intercourse.
News of secret magic academies in the human world soon reachedthe Council of Magistry, thus, they sent a couple of S-ranked representatives to investigate the matter from the rumors. The report of their discovery shook the whole magic realm, paving way for a new possible future concluding that the sacred rule against cross-marriage to be terminated. However, cross-marriage is only legal once a couple would pass the trial. Arranged cross-marriage however, is prohibited considering that the termination of a sacred rule comes with a price.
The drastic changes eventually led to many mixes born and many more researches made. The Magic Realm has once again stepped into a new biodiversity of different races strengthening the unity of every race.
