Chapter 1 - The fallen kingdom

Every fairy tale begins with a princess. But this one begins with a kingdom that fell.

Long ago, there was a great and beautiful kingdom ruled by a wise and kind royal family. Peace filled the land, and the people lived happily—until the day the monsters came.

From the depths of the Forbidden Forest, creatures of shadow and terror swept across the land. No one knew why they attacked, but their arrival shattered everything. Villages burned, families fled, and the kingdom crumbled under the chaos.

To survive, the people scattered into tribes, each one called a Haven.

Every Haven had its purpose—some forged weapons to protect the survivors, others grew food or crafted clothes. Though separated, they still considered themselves part of the fallen kingdom.

But the royal family was not so fortunate.

When the monsters invaded, the King and Queen perished, leaving behind only their daughter, Princess Luna. She was too young—only a child—to rule. So the King's most trusted advisor took the throne, promising to guide the kingdom until Luna came of age.

But power changes hearts.

The new king grew greedy. He wanted the throne for himself. To keep it, he spread a cruel lie—that the princess was dead. And the people believed him.

In truth, Princess Luna had survived. Hidden behind a mask to conceal her identity, she was captured and sold into servitude. No one knew the masked servant girl was the true heir to the fallen throne.

Years passed.

And while the kingdom's memory of its princess faded, a new story began—one that would soon weave into Luna's destiny.

In a small Haven known for its fine cloth and needlework lived a young girl named Mia. She was eighteen, full of curiosity and courage, but restless. Every day, she worked beside her mother, stitching garments and weaving fabrics. Yet her heart yearned for more. She often stared toward the distant ruins of the old kingdom—the place no one dared to go, haunted by monsters and memories.

"Mother," she would say, "I don't want to live in fear forever. I want to see the village. I want to know what's left."

Her mother always shook her head. "It's too dangerous, Mia. The monsters still roam there. Promise me you'll stay where it's safe."

But on the morning of Mia's nineteenth birthday, everything changed.

Her mother looked at her with tired eyes but a proud smile. "Mia, you're growing older. You have a brave heart. Perhaps it's time you find your own path. If you truly wish to see the village… you may go."

Mia's heart soared with excitement. She hugged her mother tightly, whispering thanks—though in her eagerness, she forgot to say all the words she meant to. After their goodbyes, she packed a small bag, fastened her cloak, and set off toward the forbidden ruins.

She didn't know that her journey would uncover long-buried secrets—secrets of a lost princess, a stolen throne, and a destiny that would change everything.

And so, her story began.
