Chapter 107 - Like a War Immortal Descending to the Mortal World – Fiery Red Xiao Wu

"Bang! Bang!"

Every step of the ferocious Hellhound shredded the branches beneath its jet-black claws into splinters.

Xie Yue continuously manipulated his top-tier Martial Soul, the Moon Blade, in a repeated series of clashes and defenses. Huliena's face had turned pale, yet she still held onto the agile girl's arm, fleeing with all her strength.

Faced with the relentless pursuit of the Hellhound, Xie Yue displayed the courage befitting the younger generation of the Spirit Hall.

"Nana, you go first. I'll cover the rear!"

"No." Huliena immediately rejected the idea.

The agile girl's heart stirred as she looked at these two who were willing to risk their lives to save her. She had never imagined that one day humans would appear, ready to die for her sake.

Resolutely, the girl said, "You should send me out first. That way, you can escape."

Huliena snorted coldly, "Stop talking nonsense. I'll toss you out in a moment. Use the time to escape."

Swish!

A pink fox tail appeared behind Huliena, wrapping around the girl's waist and forcefully flinging her out.

Glancing at the girl being thrown, Huliena quickly returned to Xie Yue's side. They shared a knowing glance, their Martial Soul powers beginning to resonate with each other.

Three Hellhounds arrived in an instant. Seeing the rising aura of the siblings, red eyes flashed with murderous frenzy. Dark magical energy gathered in their mouths, forming three terrifying beams of light in an instant.

Huliena and Xie Yue's Martial Soul fusion technique could not be easily unleashed in rapid succession. Facing the three piercing light beams, they could only act hastily.

Before the towering Martial Soul fusion projection could form, a rainbow light was flung out—only to be shattered by the Hellhound's beams. Blood spurted from their mouths as they were hurled backward.

The rainbow light had managed to carve a scar across one of the Hellhounds, and jet-black blood dripped from it. The beast let out a frenzied roar, its ferocity amplifying as the dark fur bristled.

"You idiot, why come back?"

Huliena and Xie Yue clutched their chests, standing with difficulty, only to find the girl had not left. Instead, she returned with a complicated expression.

"I can't let you risk your lives just to save me."

Initially, Huliena and Xie Yue felt some regret for impulsively rushing to save her, but seeing the girl's righteous concern, they felt a fleeting sense that it had been worth it.

"Heheh!!"

The three Hellhounds howled greedily, long strands of saliva dripping onto the ground as the surrounding black mist corroded everything it touched with a "sizzle".

"If only I'd left you with him, I could've come alone." Xie Yue wiped the blood from his lips, sighing with regret.

"And now you're still saying foolish things." Huliena's fox-like eyes carried a killing intent, yet she had not given up.

The agile girl bit her lip, observing the vicious Hellhounds and the humans risking themselves for her. In an instant, she seemed to make a significant decision. A mysterious, profound aura began to radiate from her body.

"Sss—"

Suddenly, footsteps echoed from the forest. A tall, imposing figure entered the battlefield, attracting the attention of both humans and beasts.

"Hasn't he gone?" Huliena recognized the newcomer immediately, momentarily stunned.

Xie Yue, tense until now, breathed a sigh of relief at the sight of Luo Yu arriving.

The agile girl paused as her mysterious aura faltered, her pupils narrowing when she recognized the familiar face of the man.

Luo Yu strode onto the battlefield, immediately noticing the tattered Xiao Wu and the Spirit Hall siblings risking their lives.

Frowning, he shouted at Huliena, "Open your mouth!"

Xiao Wu, confused, obeyed. Huliena and Xie Yue's faces lit up as they obediently opened their mouths.

With a flick of his fingers, a golden medicinal pill shot perfectly into Huliena's mouth, melting instantly. Warmth flowed from her throat into her abdomen and spread to her limbs, restoring vitality.

Xie Yue opened his mouth, but Luo Yu ignored him, turning to face the three restless Hellhounds. He summoned his soul power, and a dark-golden spear appeared in his hands.

Watching his sister's energy rapidly recover, Xie Yue pouted in frustration—was this some kind of gender-based favoritism?

"Careful, this beast's power rivals a Soul Emperor." Huliena called out.

"I know!" came the irritated response from the front.

The Hellhounds, sensing Luo Yu's subtle aura, leapt madly to attack.

"Clang! Clang! Clang!"

The dark-golden spear danced, forming phantasmal afterimages, striking like a raging storm against the Hellhounds' claws.

After a brief exchange, Luo Yu's expression darkened. The spear vibrated violently in his hands, his blood surging as sweat formed on his brow.

Huliena helped Xiao Wu and Xie Yue to their feet.

Xiao Wu's eyes widened in astonishment: "How can he be here? And he's actually fighting a twenty-thousand-year Hellhound?"

"You know him?" Huliena asked curiously.

Xiao Wu didn't hide it. "He fought my companions in a restaurant before, so I've met him."

"A restaurant? A fight?"

Huliena suddenly remembered the story the restaurant owner had told her about Luo Yu. Could it be that the arrogant young men back then referred to them?

Watching the scene unfold, the youth wielding the spear moved with the poise of a war immortal, exchanging blows with the beast as sparks flew. The sight left everyone stunned.

So powerful!

Xiao Wu recalled how her companions had clashed with him before—he must have held back; otherwise, Da Mu Bai and the others wouldn't have survived. One spear might have killed them instantly.

Her face flushed as she remembered Tang San's boastful words to strike this man the next time they met. Xiao Wu silently thought: maybe meeting him again isn't the best idea…

Huliena, realizing Xiao Wu had a past conflict with Luo Yu, frowned and returned to her brother's side.

Xie Yue's eyes burned with admiration for the battlefield, wishing it were him striking at the beast.

"What am I but a talent? This is what true talent looks like!"

Huliena was stunned. She had never seen anyone, even among peers, be so completely captivated by someone's skill.

Clang!

Luo Yu swung his spear across a massive black claw. A sharp impact sent him rebounding, "teng teng teng"—he staggered back over ten steps before stabilizing.

He glared at them, "Hey, I came to save you, and you're just standing there watching?!"

Huliena, Xiao Wu, and Xie Yue finally realized their mistake. The aura of Luo Yu's entrance was overwhelming—they assumed he could handle the Hellhounds easily.

Shouts from the battlefield reminded them that Luo Yu wasn't much older than them.

The three prepared to lend their strength.

"Boom!"

Luo Yu stood proudly, spear in hand, his azure robe flaring with imposing energy. Behind him, a blazing sun rose, golden flames swirling like dragons.

The beast and Xiao Wu's expressions changed simultaneously, as if sensing an overwhelming presence.

"Roar!!"

The three Hellhounds unleashed their full power, the surrounding corrosive black mist exploding like ghostly wails into their bodies. Their momentum surged toward Luo Yu.

Man and beast collided, creating a whirlwind of flying sand and debris. Huliena and the others were pushed back, staring in awe at the battle.

Huliena clenched her hands, her pale lips tight with concern. She could feel the Hellhounds' power exceeding a normal limit.
