Chapter 3 - chapter 3_kayla

As Daisy's car pulled away, Leo stood by the entrance, watching the taillights disappear into the night.

Something about her felt… familiar. The way she spoke, the way her eyes lingered for a second too long before she looked away.

He frowned, trying to shake off the thought.

"Daisy…" he murmured under his breath, testing the name on his tongue.

Her heart hadn't calmed down since he said his name.

Leo.

The same Leo who once used to walk her home after class, who promised to never let her cry — until that one misunderstanding tore them apart.

Back then, no one knew they were dating. She had been too shy, too quiet, too scared of rumors. And when everything fell apart, she disappeared — changed her name, her look, her entire life.

The bodyguard glanced at her through the mirror. "Are you alright, Miss?"

Daisy nodded with a faint smile. "Yes… just a bit tired."

But inside, she wasn't fine.

Because the man she had tried to forget just stood in front of her again — successful, confident, and completely unaware that the girl he once loved was sitting just a few steps away, pretending to be a stranger.

When she got home, Daisy sat by her window, gazing at the city lights.

"I should've stayed away," she whispered to herself.

But fate, it seemed, had other plans.

That night, Leo couldn't sleep. He poured himself a glass of whiskey and stared out at the city lights from his penthouse window.

Her name echoed in his mind — Daisy.

Something about her voice, her eyes, the quiet way she smiled when he introduced himself… it stirred something deep inside him.

"Sir?" his assistant, Mason, called softly from the doorway.

Leo turned. "I need you to check something for me," he said, his tone calm but firm.

"About the woman we met today — Daisy. Find out everything you can about her. Quietly."

Mason nodded, already sensing the weight behind his words. "Understood, sir."

When Leo finally lay down, he couldn't stop thinking about the girl he once loved — Kayla. The one who left is world ago. and he has been regreting is decision back then

By morning, Mason returned with a file in his hand.

"Sir, I found something… strange."

Leo lifted his gaze. "What do you mean?"

Mason hesitated before placing the documents on the table. "Her real name… wasn't always Daisy. Years ago, she was registered under the name Kayla Morgan."

Leo froze.

The pen in his hand slipped and rolled off the table. His heartbeat thundered in his ears.

Kayla.

After all this time… she had been right there.

He stood abruptly, running a hand through his hair. "You're sure?"

The next morning, the city buzzed with life — flashing cameras, reporters, and a crowd waiting at the edge of the film set. Daisy had a new commercial shoot scheduled, and as always, she arrived quietly, surrounded by her manager and her bodyguard.

Her expression was calm, professional. No one could tell that her heart still ached from last night's reunion — or from seeing him.

"Good morning, Miss Daisy," one of the staff greeted politely.

She gave a soft nod and moved toward the dressing room.

Everything went smoothly — lights, makeup, camera flashes. She smiled, laughed on cue, and played her part like the star she was. But inside, her mind kept drifting to one thing: Leo.

When the director finally called, "Cut! That's a wrap for today!" Daisy exhaled deeply and headed toward her car.

But the moment she stepped outside the set, her steps froze.

There he was — Leo — standing beside his car, hands in his pockets, watching her. His sharp black suit and calm confidence made him look even more intimidating than before.

"Leo…" she whispered, startled.

He smiled faintly. "You're hard to find."

Her bodyguard instinctively stepped forward, but Leo's quiet gaze made him hesitate. Daisy signaled him to stop.

"What are you doing here?" she asked, her voice low and cautious.

"I came to see you," he said simply. "Can we talk?"

"I'm busy," she replied quickly, clutching her purse. "Maybe another time—"

"Daisy," he interrupted softly, "or should I say… Kayla?"
