Chapter 5 - A "special express" train that is anything but speedy.

September 1, 1991, King's Cross Station, Platform Nine and Three-Quarters, Hogwarts Express.

 "Hmm~~~"

 "What tune is that?"

 "The Owl Variation."

"Nonsense, there's no such thing as an Owl Variation."

"How does it feel? The magical school arrives today. The stage of magic has lifted its curtain. What role do you plan to play here?" Frank asked Hermione with a smile: "Like in fairy tales, hiding deep in the forest, brewing a bubbling green potion with bat and toad skin, cackling while brewing?"

"Go away, you're the one who will be a bad witch!" Hermione wiped her slightly reddened eyes.

"Not sad anymore?" Frank asked softly beside her. The train hadn't left yet, and the noisy sounds from the platform came in. The sounds of students saying goodbye to their parents and families were everywhere, which instead made the small compartment even quieter.

Hermione didn't speak. Frank didn't mind and hummed the Owl Variation again. The train whistle sounded, urging the students to board the train quickly.

Hermione looked at Frank: "Aren't you sad at all? Going to a strange world, receiving education at a strange magic school. From now on, we and our parents are two different kinds of people."

The variation stopped. Frank looked at Hermione, then at the platform outside the window. On the other side of the wall, their parents stood there waiting for the train to depart. Perhaps hoping to hear the steam whistle they couldn't possibly hear.

"In my previous life, I was an orphan. Every year, many friends from the orphanage would be adopted. I'm already used to farewells." Frank looked out the window and said calmly to Hermione.

Then he turned his head and said, "In fairy tales, all wizards brew a potion called the Elixir of Life. All wizards live for several hundred years. Since I've become a wizard now, why can't I brew the Elixir of Life to make my parents immortal?"

Hermione widened her eyes looking at Frank. Frank suddenly laughed: "Haha, just kidding." Hermione punched Frank on the shoulder: "You--you actually..." Frank took the opportunity to grab Hermione's hand, leaned close to her, and said, "The first part was a joke, but the latter part, I will brew the Elixir of Life."

Hermione pushed Frank away and turned around without saying a word. Only the tips of her ears seemed slightly red.

"You--hello, may I ask--are you--Frank Del and..." A chubby boy quietly poked his head in, seeming to want to say something but forgetting. He took a note out of his clothes: "Frank Del and Hermione Granger?"

Frank looked the boy up and down: black hair, round face, seemed very nervous when speaking, eyes only looking at the ground. It seemed to be the second savior, the Gryffindor Sword Saint, future master of the Leaky Cauldron's husband: Neville Longbottom.

Before Frank could speak, Hermione抢先问道: "Who are you? Why do you know our names?"

"I'm Neville, Neville Longbottom." Neville looked at the note again: "May I ask, are you Frank Del and Hermione Granger?"

"Yes, that's us." Frank answered from the side: "Did someone ask you to bring us a message? If it's written on that note, can you just show us?"

Neville quickly handed the note to Frank. Those few short sentences seemed to have exhausted Neville's courage. Frank took the note and handed it to Hermione, then asked: "Mr. Longbottom? Have you found a compartment? If not, you can stay here. It's just the two of us here."

"Th-thank you, you can just call me Neville." After speaking, Neville fell silent and sat alone on the seat opposite.

After reading the contents of the note, Hermione handed it to Frank. Frank glanced at it. The gist was to take care of yourself when away from home, and also take care of Hermione. Write home often, talk about school things, study hard.

Mr. Granger's words were similar. Besides telling Hermione to take care of herself, he also asked Frank to take care of Hermione.

Frank took out a camera from his bag: "Good thing I bought this. Neville, could you trouble you to take a photo for us?"

"Okay." Neville took the camera, as if giving himself courage: "I've used one at home too, I can take a good picture."

Pressing the shutter, a puff of purple smoke floated out.

Frank took out letter paper and wrote:

 Dear Father, Mother:

Hermione and I have successfully boarded the train. The friend you asked (Neville Longbottom) has successfully delivered your message to Hermione and me.

I think you remember the magical camera I bought back then. I just asked Neville to take a photo for us. I will mail the photo to you tonight. Of course, there will be ones for the Grangers too.

I believe you are still outside now. Don't worry, I will take care of myself and also take care of Hermione. You must take care of yourselves too. No need to worry, I'll be back for Christmas.

PS; The other letter is from Hermione, please forward it to the Grangers.

 Frank Del

 Dear Father, Mother:

I have boarded the train with Frank. The train is about to depart soon. The Neville you asked to deliver the letter just brought the letter over. I will take care of myself, and you must take care of yourselves too.

Frank acts like an excited child who's never been far from home when he leaves home. Obviously, it's me taking care of him.

I will write to you when I get to school, using the owl. When the letter arrives, just give it some nuts to eat.

 Hermione Jean Granger

The two gave the letters to Rod and fed him some owl treats. Rod spread his wings and flew out. Frank suddenly asked: "Hermione, you didn't write anything nonsense in the letter, did you?"

"Of course not, you didn't write anything nonsense, did you?"

"No, no, I just wrote that you cried earlier."

Hermione instantly widened her eyes and looked at Frank,A thought of wanting to beat him to death arose in his mind.. If Frank's golden finger was detection-based, he could see "+1killing intent +1killing intent +1killing intent" popping up above Hermione's head.

Frank quickly coughed twice: "No, no, just joking. I just wrote for them to take care of themselves." Hermione glared at Frank again, turned around, took out a book, and started reading.

Frank coughed awkwardly twice, turned around, and also took out a book to read.

The students on the platform slowly decreased, leaving only parents standing there. The train whistled again. This time, the train started moving. The train left the platform and headed into the distance along the tracks.

The sunlight shone into the compartment, onto the book. Frank closed the book, watching the train pass through fields and forests. The sounds of children playing and laughing came from the surrounding compartments. Frank felt an unreal sensation about everything.

Since his transmigration, Frank often felt an unreal sensation.

Always afraid that opening his eyes would be just a dream, that he was still that person without a right hand, without parents. Now, on this train heading towards magic, he suddenly understood that he was already inseparable from this world. Even if it was just a dream, this would be his most beautiful dream.

 Magic, I'm coming.
