"Good morning, Hermione." Hremiah was about to leave for work and happened to see Hermione arriving. "Frank, Hermione is here to see you."
"Good morning, Aunt Del." Hermione politely greeted Hremiah. Then she said to Frank, "Frank, have you finished reading 'Magical Drafts and Potions'? I never thought potion effects could be so miraculous."
"I've already memorized it all. Of course, I know you have too."
Frank quickly said before Hermione could open her mouth. After all, he heard this sentence every day these past few days: Frank, I've already memorized 'The Standard Book of Spells, Grade 1'; Frank, I've already memorized 'A History of Magic'.
Hermione had memorized all the textbooks just a few days after buying them. Of course, Frank had too, thanks to his increased memory from two lifetimes. Seriously, who transmigrates and can't have a photographic memory?
She was very happy. Throughout elementary school, she had few friends. She never understood why everyone would ostracize her when she was just kindly reminding her classmates to prepare in advance and to do their own homework instead of copying. And it's just memorizing books, isn't that easy?
Frank and Hermione walked into the living room. A mirror suddenly spoke: "Oh-- My little master, you are naturally beautiful, your countenance is as handsome as a god, your smile is as charming as the sun. Although you are only slightly less handsome than the esteemed readers, if you could just tuck your shirt into your trousers, you wouldn't be far off."
This was the mirror bought in Diagon Alley. That day, after Professor McGonagall allowed them to shop on their own, Frank bought this mirror in Diagon Alley. He had liked this mirror since reading the books in his previous life, after all, one couldn't expect children from an orphanage to be very tidy.
Every time he went back to the orphanage to visit his younger siblings, he would find them dirty. Of course, it wasn't a management issue; the streets and community often organized volunteers, but a group of children playing with sand and mud couldn't avoid getting some dirt on them.
If they had this mirror, the aunties at the orphanage would have an easier time; the children could at least see where they were dirty and pat off the dust themselves. Unexpectedly, after buying it, his mother really liked this mirror. Every night when she came back, she could chat with the mirror about clothes for three or four hours nonstop.
One day, Father Huvenal quietly complained to Frank that he didn't even have time to ask for a little brother or sister for Frank anymore.
"Of course, and this young lady. Your smile makes me understand what a lady is. Your outfit today is beautiful. Look at this little trench coat, the weather is turning cooler, this coat is just right."
"Hee hee, thank you." Hermione accepted the compliment with a smile.
Hermione had seen this mirror the first time she came over. She still liked this mirror very much. At least the compliments were different every time.
"Alright, alright, stop it. Hermione is here to study with me." Frank knew well how chatty this mirror could be and quickly stopped it. If he didn't, the mirror could talk all day.
"Hermione, can you use all the charms now?" Frank asked Hermione about her progress with charms as he led her towards the study.
"Although I've memorized all the books, the charms are still not very proficient. They work sometimes and not others. The simple ones are okay, but the slightly more difficult ones can't be used well."
There were two studies in Frank's house, one for his father and mother to work from home, and one for Frank himself. These past few days, things had been moved out, and several mannequins from a modeling company were placed inside.
"Then let's practice some more. The books are all memorized. But magic has to be usable to count." Frank walked into the study, took out his wand, and waved it at a mannequin: "Scourgify!" The wand emitted a light that hit the mannequin, and the stains on it began to disappear.
Every night, he would sprinkle dirt on the mannequins or break their limbs with a club, and the next day he would use magic to repair them again.
Hermione watched from the side and also started cleaning and repairing with charms: "Every time I come over in the morning, if I didn't know you were practicing charms, I'd think a destructive maniac lived here."
"For the sake of learning magic, for not being thrown to the bottom of the class by the wizarding children. I'll bear this infamy." Frank certainly knew that wizarding children wouldn't know magic before enrollment, at least they couldn't practice magic before getting their own wands.
After all, the famous nobles: Draco Malfoy and his two lackeys. And Ron Weasley. These two people proved that wizarding families knew nothing before enrollment.
"But what if? What if my little butterfly really stirred up a storm? What if there really are children from Death Eater families who learned Dark Curses before enrollment?
Even in supposedly absolutely safe Hogwarts, the first year had the noseless freak with a face on the back of his head, the second year had the basilisk, the third year had the outstanding Gryffindor graduate, the fourth year had the Triwizard Tournament. Even if I lie low and avoid such things, when that noseless freak is resurrected, won't the first to be targeted be Muggle-born wizards like me?"
Frank thought as he practiced magic even more vigorously: "Hermione, if you had the chance, have you considered being an exchange student in another country?" Frank paused and turned to ask Hermione.
"If there's a chance, of course I'd like to try. But I haven't seen anything about that in 'Hogwarts: A History'. How did you think of that?" Hermione also put away her wand.
The two walked to the sofa and sat down. Frank poured Hermione a cup of black tea: "I originally planned to apply to Ivy League schools as an exchange student during university. You know, my original plan was to study at Eton College, then go to King's College, and then apply to Ivy League universities."
Hermione thought about it: "I originally planned to go to Cambridge. Now going to Hogwarts... I don't know if I can go to university after graduating from Hogwarts. Do they have a normal further education system?"
"Probably not. Let's not worry about the future for now. Let's go to Hogwarts first. I don't want to be last." Frank smiled and pulled Hermione up, and the two started practicing again.
Time invested cannot be felt. Before the two realized it, Hremiah had already returned from work.
"Frank, Hermione, are you still practicing?" Hremiah came upstairs and knocked on the door: "Come eat first. Hermione, stay for dinner tonight. I fried fish tonight."
"No, Aunt Del. My dad should be here to pick me up soon." Hermione said to Frank as she walked out the door: "We have to take the train to school tomorrow morning. See you at the station at ten sharp?"
"Okay, see you at the station tomorrow."
The sound of Mr. Granger's car came from outside. Hermione said goodbye to the two and went home.
After dinner, Frank lay on the bed, closed his eyes, and began to summon the star chart: "'Illusion' and 'Twin' are already lit. Now 'Illusion' can protect my brain, preventing my memories from being seen. 'Twin' allows my learning ability to double, reading two books at once. So which star card should I light up next?"
Frank thought for a long time: "The first year doesn't have any major dangers. The noseless freak mainly focuses his attention on Dumbledore and Harry Potter. As long as I avoid the troll and don't participate in the Philosopher's Stone challenge, I'm safe.
But just in case, I need to add an escape skill. 'Move'? But Hogwarts has Anti-Apparition, not sure if it can be used. 'Fly' allows flight, but in this world, didn Voldemort create the flight charm?
Then 'Jump' it is. With it, I can jump from the eighth floor without a problem. Should be able to escape. Another one... 'Shield'. Only by protecting myself do I have a chance to counterattack.
Hmm, defense first." The 'Jump' and 'Shield' star cards in the star chart suddenly shattered and then lit up. Frank felt his body become light, as if with a little effort he could jump into space. Then, with a thought, a shield appeared in front of him. The front of the shield had an image of stars, surrounded by silver lines. Frank knocked on the shield.
"Thump thump." It looks quite sturdy. Not sure how many spells it can block. I wonder if it can become stronger than the shields during the Dumbledore and Voldemort battle.
But Sakura's magic is that every time she captures a Clow Card, her magic power increases. After all Clow Cards are successfully collected, her magic power seems comparable to Clow Reed's.
And Clow Reed is comparable to a creator god. So after I light them all up, doesn't that mean I equal Sakura, Sakura equals Clow Reed, Clow Reed equals the creator god. So I equal the creator god!!! It seems the Clow Cards have more promise than Harry Potter.
Frank thought about it, quietly opened the window. It was already ten at night, and there were no pedestrians on the street. Frank gently jumped down from the window: Seems fine. Let's see how high I can jump.
Frank jumped upwards with all his might, only feeling the wind was a bit cold. Opening his eyes, he saw the tip of Big Ben in the distance. At ten o'clock at night, most people in London were already asleep, only the city center was still brightly lit.
"So, I can jump this high!" Frank landed on the roof. The power of magic is indeed miraculous; he didn't feel anything at all when landing, no sound, and the roof wasn't damaged. Frank jumped back into his room, turned off the light, and lay on the bed.
Tomorrow, a new life begins.
