"What?"
Loki's expression changed. An uncontrollable look of suspicion and unease flashed across his eyes.
Such a vicious trap—could it really have been set by another version of himself?
Loki prided himself on being the Nine Realms' greatest trickster, delighting in using elaborate deceits to toy with his opponents. Mass slaughter on this scale hardly fit his usual style.
More importantly, another thought came to him fast: if Tony's guess was right, then the future version of him had walked straight into this timed-Loki's snare from the beginning.
This shadowy Loki had deliberately leaked clues to lure Loki, Mobius and the others here—to trap them all at once.
At that thought, every hair on Loki's back stood up.
If true, it meant his assumptions about that other Loki were utterly wrong. That Loki wasn't just sneakier than expected—he was far more vicious and brutal.
Tony, standing to one side, was full of confidence about his own theory. As Earth's most successful arms manufacturer, his job was to invent weapons that blew enemies to bits. His thought process skewed in that direction: if the TVA were the enemy, what's the answer? Simple—blow them to smithereens.
[The footage continues.]
[Loki shouted:]
["If you don't want to rule the TVA, then what do you want?"]
[Store‑clerk Loki: "That's not important. You're too late."]
["I'm always one step ahead."]
[Loki, defiant:]
["Then that's how I found where you were hiding."]
["So this proves that I am the higher-tier Loki."]
[As he spoke, Loki's gaze shifted to something on a nearby shelf, and his expression instantly changed.]
[It was the TVA's Time Reset Device.]
[A look of sudden realization crossed his face, and Loki sneered.]
["I see… so this is your plan. Lure us here, then blow this place to pieces…"]
[Loki's voice abruptly stopped.]
[The store clerk Loki had already vanished into the supermarket, leaving no trace behind.]
[Just as Loki was at a loss, someone suddenly rushed out from the side and kicked him in the stomach, sending him flying across the room.]
["Hahaha…"]
[A middle-aged man emerged, clearly another possessed Loki.]
["Ah, I miss that clerk…"]
[Loki muttered to himself as he got up from the floor.]
[But the middle-aged man kicked him again, sending him flying once more.]
"Hey, hey, are you really a god? How are you this weak?"
Watching Loki getting pummeled by the middle-aged man with no ability to fight back, little Wanda's mouth dropped open in disbelief.
In her mind, gods from myth were supposed to wield earth-shattering power, turning mortals to ash with a single gesture.
So how could this so-called God of Mischief not even beat an ordinary middle-aged American?
"Uh…"
At this moment, Loki's expression became awkward.
Cursing his future self silently for being too weak, his mind raced—and he quickly thought of an excuse.
"Right!"
Raising his right hand, Loki looked confidently at everyone in the livestream:
"Possession magic… that Variant Loki's possession magic can probably transfer part of his power elsewhere.
That's why this man is so strong."
"Oh? Just part of his power is enough to beat you?"
Tony sneered beside him:
"If that Loki's main body were here, you'd be dead instantly, wouldn't you?"
"Uh…"
Loki was left speechless, a vein of frustration appearing on his forehead.
[The footage continues.]
[Loki was ruthlessly knocked to the ground.]
[After struggling for a while, he got up, swaying as he looked into the distance. The middle-aged man was installing another Reset Charge.]
["What do you want from me?"]
[Loki shouted as he ran forward.]
["What exactly are you trying to do?"]
[The middle-aged man completed the final step, sneered, then his eyes flashed green before he collapsed unconscious.]
[At that moment, Loki heard an unusual sound from behind.]
[He turned, seeing a figure emerge from the darkness, slowly removing the hood from their head.]
[It was a blonde, blue-eyed woman, wearing a horned headpiece!]
[This Loki… was a woman!]
