After handing over the class notes, Kirisu Mafuyu added,
"If there's anything you don't understand, go to the staff room and ask the subject teachers directly."
"That's all. You may return to class."
"I understand."
Arthur nodded.
Rising from his seat, he left the consultation room and headed back toward his classroom.
Kirisu Mafuyu, closing the door behind him, glanced briefly at his retreating figure before turning toward the staff room.
Her expression never changed—cold, impassive, as though she carried an aura that kept people a thousand miles away.
Moments later, Arthur returned to class.
He had barely sat down when Miura Yumiko walked over, flanked by Yuigahama Yui and Ebina Hina.
"Arthur-kun," Yumiko greeted him brightly.
"Miura-san, Yuigahama-san, Ebina-san," Arthur replied with a smile.
Miura Yumiko had striking golden hair, styled into two locks that fell over her shoulders—
the ends deliberately curled into corkscrew drills.
Her features were delicate, skin fair, brows lightly touched with makeup.
Her emerald-green eyes shone like gemstones.
Wearing the fitted school uniform, her figure was well-proportioned and curvaceous, her white legs long and flawless beneath the skirt.
Coupled with her radiant smile, she exuded an aura of warmth and passion.
Because of her charisma among the boys, she had already earned the nickname: "Flame Queen."
At her left stood Yuigahama Yui, with short peach-colored hair reaching her shoulders, tied into a bun on the right side.
Looking closer, one could tell the strands had been permed.
The top button of her shirt was undone, her ribbon tie loose, a necklace resting against her throat.
Her curves stretched the fabric of her blouse, and her skirt sat higher than most girls'.
With heavier makeup highlighting her naturally attractive features, she gave off the vibe of a gyaru.
On Yumiko's right was Ebina Hina.
Her black bob barely reached her shoulders. Red-rimmed glasses framed her face.
Her looks were plainer compared to Yumiko and Yui, but still neat and pleasant.
Her figure was average.
Her defining trait was simple: fujoshi—an obsession with the relationships between boys.
Together, the three of them formed the "Oregairu normie girl trio."
Of the three, Yumiko was the most popular with the boys, followed by Yui, while Ebina trailed behind.
Among them, Arthur mainly knew Yumiko and Yui.
His acquaintance with Ebina came indirectly through the other two, so they were only casual friends.
He'd first gotten to know Yumiko when she had invited him to play tennis during P.E.
That was how their relationship began.
As for Yuigahama Yui—
Arthur had once helped her catch her dog, Sablé, when it broke free from its leash during their first school holiday.
That was how they became friends.
Now, Yumiko's bright voice asked him:
"Arthur-kun, have you completely recovered?"
Beside her, Yuigahama's eyes reflected genuine concern.
Though they were already on friendly terms, they had yet to exchange contact information.
In fact, Yumiko had been planning to ask him for it—
but the very next day, Arthur had been absent due to illness.
Without his number, she couldn't check in on him.
All she could do was wait.
Thankfully, he had returned today.
And not only did he look healthy—he looked even more dazzling than before.
Up close, his flawless face made Yumiko's heartbeat quicken.
The truth was, she had felt a spark the very first day she met him.
That was why she had approached him in P.E. class.
And after these weeks of interaction at school, her feelings had only deepened.
She had to admit it—she liked him.
Sometimes, things really were that simple.
Especially for teenagers in the prime of youth.
So Yumiko had already decided—
she would grow closer to Arthur.
And when the time was right, confess.
"Thank you for your concern."
Arthur smiled, replying warmly,
"My condition is completely resolved. You don't need to worry—I feel more energetic than ever."
"That's great!"
Relief flashed across Yumiko's heart, her smile shining even brighter.
Yuigahama also let out a breath of relief, her own grin becoming more radiant.
Just then, Ebina spoke with a teasing smile:
"Arthur-kun, while you were out sick, Yumiko was so worried about you."
"She wanted to check up on you, but realized she didn't have your contact info. She had no choice but to wait until today."
"Ebina!"
Yumiko's cheeks flushed pink as she shot her a glare—scolding her for "saying too much."
Yuigahama glanced between Yumiko and Arthur, then lowered her head slightly, the smile fading from her lips.
Arthur, however, only gave Ebina a small, knowing smile.
He had seen through her intentions.
So he turned to Yumiko, lips curling faintly:
"Now that you mention it, we still haven't exchanged contact information, have we? That's not very fitting for friends."
"Why don't we do it now?"
He pulled out his phone.
"Yes!"
Yumiko's heart leapt, and despite her shyness, she quickly pulled out her own phone as well.
In moments, they had exchanged both LINE and email.
Arthur then turned to Yui and Ebina.
"And you two? Still not getting your phones out?"
"Eh? Us too?!" Ebina blinked in surprise.
Arthur chuckled playfully.
"What, are we not friends yet? If so, that would make me a little sad."
"Of course not—it's nothing like that!" Yuigahama rushed to explain, flustered.
Ebina, watching her carefully, narrowed her eyes behind her glasses, as if she had noticed something.
Then she smiled mischievously.
"In that case, let's exchange too."
She pulled out her phone.
Soon, Arthur had exchanged LINE and email with both Yui and Ebina as well.
After chatting for a while, the bell rang.
The trio returned to their seats.
The math teacher entered with his textbook, and class resumed.
Time passed like a breeze brushing the treetops—quiet and swift.
At last, the lunch break arrived.
Arthur took out his phone and sent a message to Yotsuya Miko:
"See you in thirty minutes."
