Chapter 25: I, Su Li, Can't Be a Magical Girl Even If I Die!
Half an hour later—
Namikaze Minato returned, accompanied by the newly resurrected Uzumaki Kushina.
"This is my junior brother, Su Li," Minato introduced.
When he was alive, Minato had often heard Su Li's name from Jiraiya, but they had never actually met.
"Thank you, Su Li."
Uzumaki Kushina, dressed in the coat Su Li had prepared for her, bowed gratefully.
Though she was famous for her fiery temper, that didn't mean she didn't understand gratitude.
During that half hour, it was Minato—rather than Su Li—who explained the current situation to Kushina.
After learning that the one who had caused her death was the very junior she had once cherished, Kushina's expression darkened.
She didn't hate Obito.
But she swore that when she met him again, she would beat him senseless and knock some sense into him—no matter what it took.
If Obito refused to reflect, she'd just keep hitting him until he did.
If Su Li had known what she was thinking, he would have probably sighed and shaken his head.
Obito's sins were far beyond redemption.
Even if he were to reform—even if Minato and Kushina themselves forgave him—it wouldn't erase what he had done.
The best outcome for him would be the same as in the original timeline:wake up, have a moment of clarity... and then exit the stage.
"Alright, let's stop thinking about sad things," Su Li said, clapping his hands to get their attention.
"Senior Brother, Sister-in-law, there's something I'd like your help with."
"What is it?"
Minato and Kushina exchanged a glance.
As the one who had resurrected them, Su Li's requests were not something they would ever refuse.
"In less than two months, Master Jiraiya will return to Konoha with Naruto and Lady Tsunade," Su Li began with a grin. "I'd like you two to help me give them a surprise welcome party. What do you say?"
"...Naruto."
Just hearing their son's name lifted their spirits.
Although the world had changed so much since their deaths, nothing made them happier than knowing Naruto was alive—and thriving.
"I'll handle all the planning and arrangements," Su Li continued. "All you two need to do is show up as mystery guests when the time comes."
"Alright," they said together, nodding in agreement.
"By the way," Su Li added, "don't tell anyone about your resurrection just yet. Hide your identities for now."
"You mean..."
Minato immediately understood what Su Li was implying.
"Exactly. Obito will show himself again sooner or later," Su Li said, smirking. "When he does, that's when you'll make your reappearance and deal with him personally. It'll be poetic justice—and a hell of a shock. If news of your return spreads too early, that surprise will be ruined."
This little scheme was pure black-bellied fun on Su Li's part.
After all, though he had plenty of ways to deal with Obito's powers, the thought of seeing Obito's face in that moment—
When the masked man, claiming to be Uchiha Madara, suddenly comes face to face with Minato and Kushina standing there alive and well—
Just imagining that scene was enough to make Su Li grin.
"Is that so? No problem," Minato said, then hesitated. "But, Junior Brother Su Li, Obito's ability is too powerful. If he decides to run, I might not be able to stop him."
"That's simple," Su Li said with a faint smile. "Right now, you probably couldn't stop him. But don't worry—by the time Obito shows up again, you'll have the power to do just that."
"Huh?"
Minato blinked, confused.
Just as Su Li was about to elaborate—
[Ding! Kurama Yakumo has obtained the "Magic Dress: Sapphire" by reading your manga "Magical Girl Illya." The host receives the same Magic Dress as a bonus reward!][Ding! You have gained 30,000 system points!]
"…What?"
Su Li froze.
Kurama Yakumo had become a magical girl?
That should have been good news—but what did the system mean by giving him the same magic wand?
Did it want him to... transform too?!
The image of himself shouting "Transformation!" while dressed in a frilly magical girl outfit flashed into his mind—and his entire expression turned to stone.
"What's wrong, Junior Brother? Are you alright?" Minato asked, noticing Su Li's stiff expression.
"...No, nothing," Su Li replied quickly, shaking his head.
He forcefully erased the mental image and swore silently to himself:
I, Su Li, would rather die than become a magical girl!
He turned on his heel dramatically.
"Come with me, Brother, Sister-in-law. I'll show you... a new world."
Minato and Kushina exchanged puzzled looks.
A new world?
Still confused, they followed Su Li anyway.
