Chapter 28: All of Konoha Reads Comics!

The next day.

Su Li summoned all the Jōnin, except Minato and Kushina, for a meeting.

From today onward, Su Li would officially open the manga to all of Konoha's shinobi.

The top priority was security.

After all, even if more than ninety percent of Konoha's ninjas were loyal, there were still about ten percent who weren't trustworthy enough. If those traitors were to secretly destroy or sell the comics to other forces... that would be disastrous.

It could even end up cultivating powerful enemies.

That was why Su Li didn't make tens of thousands of manga copies at once.

So, after some discussion, Su Li proposed setting up several designated areas within Konoha where shinobi could read the manga. Each area would be supervised by several Elite Jōnin, ensuring that no Genin or Chūnin could leave with a single comic in hand.

After finalizing this strategy, Su Li issued the assembly order for everyone to gather and read the manga.

Soon, all of Konoha's ninjas were summoned.

"What's going on? The Acting Hokage called for a full assembly?"

"Who knows?"

"It seems urgent."

"It must be something big!"

"Could it be Orochimaru and the Sand again?"

"That's unlikely—wasn't Orochimaru seriously injured by the Third Hokage?"

"I don't know… but something feels off."

Amidst the wave of speculation, tens of thousands of Konoha shinobi gathered one after another at the manga reading zones that Su Li had prepared.

When they entered in batches, everyone froze.

What the hell?

They had been called here… to read comics?

Fortunately, several Elite Jōnin were present in each area to maintain order.Even though the Chūnin and Genin had complaints, they didn't dare disobey.

Most thought that reading manga for cultivation sounded ridiculous. But since it wasn't a dangerous mission—and it came as a direct order—they figured they might as well comply.Besides, it was a rare chance to relax a little.

And surprisingly, Su Li's comics were actually really good.

Soon enough, anyone who picked one up was drawn in by the story.

Of course, this was partly because entertainment in the shinobi world was extremely underdeveloped. After years of constant missions and battles for survival, no one had time—or luxury—to indulge in entertainment.Naturally, the industry had never developed.

As time passed, Su Li began hearing the familiar sounds of the system's notifications in his mind.

[Ding!] Otai learned about Shaving by reading your manga Marine Six Styles! Host acquires this ability simultaneously![Ding!] You gain 1000 system points!

[Ding!] Tortaro learned about Armament Haki by reading your manga Conqueror's Haki! Host acquires this ability simultaneously![Ding!] You gain 1000 system points!

[Ding!] Junta gained fivefold enhanced physical strength from reading your manga Meet Five Seconds and Start Fighting! Host acquires this ability simultaneously![Ding!] You gain 1000 system points!

[Ding!] Fujisaki learned Water Breathing from reading your manga Demon Slayer! Host acquires this ability simultaneously![Ding!] You gain 1000 system points!

[Ding!] Zuo Cangkong obtained the Bright Wing Teigu from your manga Akame ga Kill! Host acquires the Teigu simultaneously![Ding!] You gain 2000 system points!

[Ding!] Kan Yanghei obtained the Zanpakutō Red Branch from your manga Shinigami no Zanpakutō! Host acquires the Zanpakutō simultaneously![Ding!] You gain 3000 system points!

Su Li was naturally delighted to see his system points rapidly increasing.

But he also noticed a problem.

The abilities obtained by these Chūnin and Genin were all fairly ordinary.Occasionally, a few would get something impressive, but nothing that compared to Jōnin-level abilities like Kakashi's.

Still, there were some exceptions.

For example, that Zuo Cangkong who obtained the Teigu Bright Wing. Its ability was simple but decent—it could lock onto a target's name, and as long as the target was within range, the arrow would chase until it hit.

Useful, yes. But limited.

Another case was Orange Yangping, who obtained a Zanpakutō.It sounded cool, but Red Branch was just a standard-grade Zanpakutō—not something that could compare with the captains' blades.

Then there were others who learned basic things like the Breathing Techniques from Demon Slayer.

Overall, the upper limit of these abilities wasn't very high.

"Sure enough," Su Li mused, "if you want to gain strong powers from the comics, it depends on the reader's talent."

This result didn't surprise him.

After all, the reason Kakashi and the others could become Jōnin wasn't just hard work—they had the talent to back it up.True power came from both effort and potential.

The reason Chūnin and Genin stayed at that level was largely due to their limited talent, no matter how much they trained.

After figuring that out, Su Li decided to make some adjustments for the next round of manga copies.

Titles like Marine Six Styles, Armament Haki, Observation Haki, Zanpakutō, Teigu, and Breathing Techniques—in their respective worlds—were not exclusive skills. They were universal enough that many people could learn them, even if mastery differed.

In other words, these were broad-access abilities.

Maybe not one in a hundred thousand would unlock something god-tier like Emperor Keke, but at least half of the shinobi could learn techniques like Marine Six Styles or Haki.

Instead of letting people read obscure manga and gain nothing,it was better to let more people read these practical ones and spread the power widely.

With that thought in mind, Su Li spent 10,000 system points and printed thousands of copies of each of these popular manga.

And just like that—the entire village of Konoha was swept up in a massive manga-reading frenzy.
