Chapter 29 - Mr. Evan Needs Fresh Air

Rion is still kissing me—deep, consuming—his mouth claiming mine like the whole world has dissolved around us. My fingers twist in his shirt, helpless, my body melting against him even though my mind screams to stop.

Then—

A knock.

A voice.

"Brother, are you inside?"

Eva.

My eyes fly open. I flinch so hard my breath stutters. Rion lifts his head just enough to look at me, a slow, wicked smirk blooming on his lips. Panic floods me; I shove him, but he doesn't move—he's still on top of me, steady as stone.

I whisper sharply, "Get off me, you—"

He doesn't even react. His fingers trace my swollen lips, gentle but taunting.

"Still a stubborn kitten," he murmurs. "Do you want another punishment?"

Another knock.

"Brother… Mr. Vale?" Eva calls again.

She's right outside. If she finds us like this—if she sees him on top of me—I'm doomed.

I push harder. "Let me go."

But he only smirks darker, leaning closer like he's enjoying every second of my panic.
