Chapter 7: The Watchers and the One Who Defied the System

Inside a vast chamber way inside the space pyramid lies the core of the ship made of crystal and data, two alien administrators watched through their floating hexagonal screens. The screens showed one human—Kelvin—slashing through a swarm of dungeon beasts with such speed that even the alien data stream lagged. His fists blurred, each strike bending the air and splitting stone.

"He's adapting again…" the female alien said, her voice a melodic click of silver and light. "He's pushing his limits without any system correction. That shouldn't be close to possible."

Her eyes—huge with plenty lens like an insect bug—flicked toward her partner, who stood with his arms folded, his body radiating a faint blue aura.

"Our bet is still active," she continued. "It'll take approximately three months for him to reach S Rank at this rate."

The male alien let out a low growl. "Three months? Or Five weeks before he kills himself. He's playing a dangerous game. The system was never meant to be pushed this far by a human host."

He zoomed the feed, analyzing Kelvin's every move. "And don't you find it strange?" he added. "Those movements are like he already knows how to fight the beast like someone who can see the future "

"It obviously because of those human videos he's been watching… training tapes, simulations, theories. Maybe he's not improvising. Maybe he planned all this."

The male tilted his head, curious. "A human… planning ahead of the system?" he whispered. "Impossible. Yet… he does have the Odd Breaker title."

[Inside the Dungeon – Level 4]

The system's voice chimed in Kelvin's ears, sharp and digital.

[SYSTEM: Congratulations🎉, User Kelvin. Your Status Window has been upgraded to Ultra max!]

[Reward Granted: +2,000 🌕 | +150💎]

Kelvin wiped the sweat from his forehead, smirking.

"Finally," he muttered. "Level 30-tier window before even hitting Level 5. Not bad."

The light around him flickered as his upgraded window unfolded in front of him like a holographic command console:

Kelvin grinned. "Still far from perfect."

He knew why. In his previous life, he had seen what a true S-Rank System Window looked like. Every stat wasn't just a number it displayed energy flows across each body part.

"My S rank window allows me to see stats of each of my body parts, this enabled me to use stats swap to channel half of all my stats to my fist our feet in order to one shot S rank monsters "

"And even my previous window. The Admin-Class window had allowed me to gain access to unlimited restricted powers that even to alien admin couldn't have"

"That was the best part," he said under his breath. "The freedom to use restricted powers"

He stared at his current stats, then sighed. "This thing feels like training wheels."

He flicked his finger and used five diamonds to purchase a new Cosmic Hoodie and dark combat trousers from the shop interface. His old tattered armor dissolved in light. The new outfit glowed — midnight black with glowing circuit veins pulsing under the fabric.

"Alright," he murmured, flexing his wrist. "Time to do some business "

The safe zone was buzzing with players — warriors polishing blades, mages meditating, traders haggling over minor loot. Everyone looked armed and ready, some even glowing with rare elemental enhancements. Kelvin's eyes scanned them quietly.

"These guys…" he thought. "They're probably replayers. People who came back from higher floors because they couldn't break Level 10. Happens every cycle."

He remembered the pattern clearly — every tenth level was a breakthrough threshold:

F Rank: Level 1–10

E Rank: Level 11–20

D Rank: Level 21–30

C Rank: Level 31–40

B Rank: Level 41–50

A Rank:Level 51–60

S Rank: Level 61–70

After that, the rare legends till Level 100—SS, SSS, and the mythical EX Rankers.

" Right now we have only 9 S rankers because no one has broken past Level 70. I had to train and help few ranker in my past life to be SSS rankers"

He smirked. "But now I'll make enough power rankers."

Kelvin raised his voice, cutting through the noise.

"Hello! Everyone in the safe zone — I'm here to purchase your coins! You can trade them for my diamonds or titles if you prefer!"

The crowd quieted, turning to stare. A few laughed. Others muttered.

"Impossible," someone said. "No one below Level 10 can have enough diamonds to sell unless on earth ."

"Probably a scam," another added.

But a few cautious eyes glowed — those with Status Viewer and Window Scanner abilities.

And when they saw his display, their faces changed.

"He… he has seven hundred and fifty diamonds!"

"And look at his titles—Solo Hero, Odd Breaker… those are legendary and rare tare titles?"

The murmurs turned into footsteps. Within seconds, a small crowd had gathered around Kelvin.

"How much for one diamond?" one asked.

Kelvin's lips curved into a sly grin.

"Hundred points for one diamond. Titles are negotiable. Lone Wolf, Painless, Hardcore Speed raider and Lone slayer are for trade."

Kelvin wasn't really satisfied with them peeking into his status window but he allowed it so he can purchase enough points.

It didn't take long. Points and coins started pouring in. Traders, adventurers, and veterans all rushed to buy what they could. Titles were rare; in lower dungeons, they were considered treasures.

While diamonds were very expensive to buy with real money on earth. 1 diamond equals 650 dollars

Within an hour, he had sold out — every diamond, every extra title gone.

His balance skyrocketed to 75,000 points.

He exhaled, crossing his arms.

"Not bad. Not bad at all."

Kelvin stood aside, watching the others flex their new purchased powers, spending diamonds recklessly on flashy abilities. He, however, waited.

"No," he thought. "That's how they all die."

He distributed his points carefully — balancing AGI for movement speed, WILL for resistance, STR for lethal output. He didn't dump everything into one category this time.

"Stats aren't power," he said under his breath. "Control is power."

The safe zone began to rumble. The countdown to Level 4's wave had started.

[DUNGEON: Level 4 — Monster Raid Incoming in 5… 4… 3… 2… 1…]

The transparent walls shattered outward as monstrous creatures rushed in — wolves with molten eyes, skeletal soldiers in chains, and grotesque hulks dripping black acid.

Energy blasts filled the air. Fire, lightning, and wind tore through the tunnel.

But Kelvin… didn't move at first.

He rolled his shoulders and cracked his neck.

Then whispered:

"Stat Swap (50%) perception → Strength × 3."

His muscles expanded, steam rising from his skin. When he punched the first monster, the shockwave shattered the ground and sent a dozen creatures flying like ragdolls.

Smoke poured from his fists. The heat from his own strength burned the air white.

"That's better."

He darted between enemies, switching stats mid-motion — speed for dodging, stamina for defense, strength for striking. His movements blurred into a rhythm that no one else could follow. Every monster that approached him fell in one hit — bodies dissolving into data.

By the time the final Boss Monster appeared — a colossal, horned chimera wrapped in black flame — the others were already stepping back.

Kelvin didn't wait.

"Stat Swap — Strength and Will, all in."

He blurred forward and slammed his fist through the beast's skull. The explosion lit the dungeon like daylight.

Silence.

Then

[SYSTEM: Boss Defeated!]

[Bonus Reward: +3,000 🌕 | +250 💎 | Title Earned — "One Shot Emperor" 🥇]

Kelvin's chest rose and fell slowly. He looked at his hands, smoke still curling off his knuckles.

"One shot, huh?" he whispered. "Guess the name fits."

He stared at the fading remains of the chimera — nothing but black dust dissolving into code. For a second, he thought he heard the faint static hum of the Admins' servers, like unseen gods laughing somewhere beyond the void.

Kelvin clenched his fist.

"Keep watching," he said to the air. "You made me this way. Now let's see if you can still control what you created."
