"It should be about four or five hundred years, I don't remember very clearly. The five fingers of The Hand were originally all people from K'un-Lun. That was a place where one could learn Chi, until they discovered that the Dragon Bone of K'un-Lun could enhance Chi and extend life. So they stole the Dragon Bone of K'un-Lun, escaped from K'un-Lun, and then, using the power of the Dragon Bone, they established The Hand."
After listening to Akira's explanation, Matt remembered something and said, "Madame Gao said before the attack that I disrupted their plans. The Hand must have an even bigger conspiracy. I just saw on the news that several citizens have gone missing since last night. I suspect this is related to The Hand's conspiracy, and I need to stop them."
With that, he struggled to get up again. He, who couldn't move just a moment ago, was now able to support his own body.
Akira pressed him back down onto the sofa. "If you're injured, you should rest properly. I don't want to see the news tomorrow reporting that the great lawyer Matt Murdoch tragically died in a Gang fight on the streets."
Matt was stubborn, and he said with some agitation, "So, am I supposed to lie here and watch The Hand's conspiracy succeed?!"
"Relax, relax. No matter what, you got into this state because you were helping me investigate The Hand. I'll handle The Hand's affairs. Once you recover, just help my friend here get an identity. She's undocumented, just like I was back then."
"Alright!"
Matt trusted Akira's abilities. Those eerie eyes and the strength to dispatch The Hand ninjas with a single strike were proof. As for getting identification for Makima, he had already done it once for Akira, so one more wouldn't hurt.
Akira found Makima and asked, "Um, Makima, I remember you can control small animals and use them as your eyes. Could you do me a favor and use animals to monitor the situation near Fisk Tower?"
Makima turned her head to look at Akira, tilted her head, and smiled, "Akira, you're finally asking me for help. Since it's your request, of course I'll agree. Is there anyone in particular you need me to focus on monitoring?"
That's cheating, she's too cute. Akira quickly composed himself and said, "There are a few key targets to monitor, like ninjas in strange outfits, old women with wrinkled faces but full of vigor, and fat people whose bodies don't look human. I'll think of others."
"Mhm." Makima nodded gently, agreeing. She looked towards the window.
Outside Akira's apartment, a sparrow was diligently bringing twigs, planning to build its small nest on a lamppost. Suddenly, its brown eyes were tinged with a golden hue, and circles of gold filled its pupils.
The same situation occurred with a cat rummaging through a dumpster, a rat carrying a ham, and various birds flying by. Their pupils were all tinged with golden circles.
They abandoned their ongoing activities, like machines receiving instructions, and collectively headed towards a location in Manhattan.
In Norse mythology, Huginn and Muninn were two ravens kept by the Allfather Odin. For Odin, Huginn and Muninn were not just his sacred birds, but also his eyes and ears. In the myths, every day at dawn, the two ravens would fly from Odin's shoulders to the human world, seeing all things, hearing all matters, and conversing with both living and dead beings.
The animals controlled by Makima were also her Huginn and Muninn, her eyes and ears, helping her gather the information she wanted, a small application of her power of Control.
Having completed all this, Makima checked the time and said to Akira, "Alright, I've sent animals to monitor the location you mentioned. It's almost noon, so I'll make lunch for you all. You can wait in the living room until I'm done. Of course, it would be even better if you wanted to help me cook."
"Sure!"
"Akira, can you kill the fishy smell in meat?"
"That's simple, it only takes one cut."
"That's really convenient."

Fifteen years ago, Danny Rand was in a plane crash with his parents, and he was the only survivor. Fortunately, he was adopted by the people of K'un-Lun, received training there, and was lucky enough to be recognized by Shou-Lao, becoming the K'un-Lun Guardian, the Iron Fist.
When he returned to New York after crossing the ocean, he found that his family's company was now his brother's and sister's. After being repeatedly mistaken for a homeless person and a mentally ill person and kicked out of the company, Danny Rand's sister, Joy Meachum, finally believed his identity and helped him reclaim his company shares.
However, Danny Rand was in a very bad mood now. After he took over the company, he unexpectedly discovered that an organization called The Hand was using Rand Corporation to traffic drugs. Having lived in K'un-Lun for many years, he was filled with righteousness and directly confronted Ward Meachum, his brother, who had been running the company for years.
"This was shipped in from the company's new dock, Ward."
Seeing clearly what Danny Rand handed him, Ward Meachum quickly got up and closed the office door that Danny Rand had left open when he came in.
"Is that heroin? You actually brought drugs into my office!"
Danny Rand said seriously to his brother, "I need to understand why this is happening."
"Why would you think this has anything to do with us?" Ward Meachum retorted.
"After we bought the new dock, a Gang called the Axe Gang caused trouble, which I dealt with. I asked their leader why The Hand wanted the dock, and he gave me this!"
Danny Rand learned from his uncle that The Hand had been controlling Rand Corporation for so many years, and buying that dock was also The Hand's arrangement.
"I don't quite understand?" Ward Meachum said.
"That symbol on the bag, it's a dragon. That's Shou-Lao, my power comes from him."
"I understand even less? That's just a snake."
Danny Rand thought for a moment: "Simply put, The Hand is using our company to smuggle heroin into New York. We can't just sit by and watch; we have to stop them!"
Ward Meachum understood somewhat, but he didn't want to get involved, nor did he have the ability to: "Danny, I have business to discuss. The company's operations need me to maintain them. Don't come to me with things that are purely based on your subjective speculation."
"I'll find the evidence, you go about your business!"
Leaving Ward Meachum's office, Danny Rand planned to find evidence of the company's drug trafficking. He learned from an assistant that the head of the operations department was on the fourth floor, and he intended to gather intelligence first.
He entered the elevator, pressed the fourth floor, and as he watched his reflection in the elevator door, recalling the past 15 years of his life, Danny Rand felt that K'un-Lun was more suitable for him. There was no drug trafficking there, no office intrigue. He would go back once he solved the company's problems.
The elevator door dinged open. Danny Rand glanced up, 6th floor, someone wanted to take the elevator.
Several people dressed in black ninja outfits entered the elevator. They didn't press a floor.
Although Danny wasn't very clever in his daily life, he could sense that the atmosphere was a bit off. He tentatively asked, "Are you guys cosplaying ninjas? I'm a bit out of touch with the times. Is that called a comic convention?"
The Hand ninjas didn't speak.
Ding, the elevator stopped again. This time it was the 5th floor, and a few more black-clad ninjas entered the elevator. The once spacious elevator became crowded.
Danny Rand realized that these ninjas were after him.
The elevator closed, and Danny Rand said to the ninjas, "Before you make a move, does anyone want to get out?"
