"Emily..." The hoarse voice was more like a whisper. She barely heard it, but it sounded as if each syllable had been a struggle to say as it passed through gritted teeth.
At first, she thought she was just hallucinating. After all, it had been a long, stressful day. Then, her head was still spinning from the night she had.
"Emily..." But the voice was persistent as it called out to her.
"Emily..." It suddenly made her pause. Hearing her name coming from his lips was like music to her ears.
