Raven's POV:
"Where have you been?" I asked Alex, trying to keep my voice steady. There was no way I was going to show weakness, no way I was going to let her see how much I was freaking out inside.
Alex's ears turned bright red, a clear sign that something was off. Whatever it was she was thinking in her head, it was obvious she was embarrassed about it. "Nothing," she murmured, almost too quietly for me to hear.
I raised an eyebrow, not buying it for a second. "Well, okay…" I trailed off, my gaze flickering back to Xavier, who hadn't stopped glaring. "Tyler's still on my heels, for your information," I said, trying to get her attention back to the matter at hand. "Guess Xavier and Lucian didn't tell him they saw us kissing." I let those words hang in the air like an accusation, watching as Alex's face turned an even deeper shade of crimson.
