Chapter 15 - # Chapter 15: One Slash Per Cuckolder

Life is full of such strange coincidences.

The agent and the young idol never would have imagined that the mercenary they hired was actually one of their biggest financial supporters, one who had likely spent a seven-figure sum in total. For a Lungmen talent agency, seven figures was still a considerable amount.

No wonder this major patron had never once attended the biannual 'core' fan gatherings.

The agent didn't mind.

Sora, on the other hand, felt a little embarrassed. There was something she wanted to say, but with her agent present, she was hesitant.

She knew that earning money wasn't easy.

Ninety percent of the big sponsors were greasy, middle-aged bosses or rich second-generation kids who had money to burn. While mercenaries might earn more than office workers, it was money they exchanged their lives for. And to think this young girl had spent all that money on her...

Moreover, as an idol, Sora knew what her selling points were and the motives of the fans who liked her. It was simply because they thought she was cute. Compared to those men, this Miss Jessica was clearly a true fan...

She really wanted to tell her to stop spending money on her, but with her agent here, she couldn't bring herself to say it.

Of course, Sora had no idea that Jessica was an ultra-rich girl who became a mercenary purely out of interest.

Because of this, and because Jessica was just so incredibly cute, Sora's fondness for her grew immensely. She took the initiative to link arms with Jessica, chatting like they were best friends and sharing details of her life, which left the naturally timid Jessica at a bit of a loss.

An extrovert versus an introvert...

Although the agent had hinted many times that an idol should never get too close to a fan, Sora didn't listen to her this time. In her eyes, Jessica was a pure friend worth making, one without ulterior motives, who simply liked her for who she was. As an idol, she felt she needed to respond to a fan like that. She even secretly planned to return the portion of Jessica's donations that she had received as her own commission after the mission was over.

"Ehehe, Mr. Reeve, I'm so happy ≡ω≡. I feel so light, like I'm floating on a cloud."

After having dinner with Sora, Jessica wore a blissful expression upon returning to the hotel.

Lucas Reeve floated out of the necklace and hovered beside Jessica, saying,

"That little girl is a good person. Even though she's an idol, her character is very good. She's a friend worth making. The idol you admire hasn't let you down, Jessica."

Thanks to his Transparent World and his soul being much stronger than an ordinary person's, he could easily read dispositions that were invisible to most, even the purity of a soul.

That little idol's soul was as pure as Jessica's, stainless and as clear as crystal.

As for Franka... her soul was white with a hint of a mischievous dark side.

"Hee hee~"

The next day.

Lungmen Stadium.

This was the largest stadium in Lungmen. Aside from major sporting events, any celebrity who could hold a concert here was considered a top-tier star. And today, the often-idle Lungmen Stadium was bustling once again. An hour before the performance, the entrance was already swarming with people. Viewed from above, the heads looked like ants clustered together, constantly moving.

On the stadium walls and in the open space within a one-kilometer radius, all sorts of standees had been set up. The idol on them was Lungmen's hottest rising star in recent years, 'Sora'.

The staff in charge were incredibly busy, maintaining order while checking tickets. Even the Lungmen Guard Department probably hadn't anticipated that a young idol would have such a massive following. Their original deployment of personnel was no longer enough, and they had to immediately dispatch dozens more from headquarters to maintain security.

"Sora-chan! Sora-chan! You are our sky!!"

A group of die-hard fans wearing custom-printed tees with Sora's picture gathered together, waving flags with Sora's logo, playing her songs, and shouting to practice their cheers.

"Sora-chan is my wife!!! I swear, I will definitely marry Sora-chan in this lifetime!!"

"Excuse me, Sora-chan has already pledged her life to me in private."

"My love is lost forever, the world is in ruins~"

"What is this NTR?! Taste the blade of a pure love warrior!"

Meanwhile, all of MSR's staff had already arrived at the venue.

After witnessing these crazed fans firsthand, Franka couldn't help but mutter in disbelief.

"This is just too insane, isn't it?"

Liskarm glanced at Franka.

"It's normal. There are even extreme fans who have jumped off buildings because their idol got married..."

"Hiss... Maybe I'm getting old. I can't understand it at all..."

Franka quickly shook her head and focused on her security duties.

"Sora-chan... your popularity has grown even more than before..."

Jessica whispered shyly to Sora.

"Hee hee~"

All was peaceful..

Franka yawned and did a quick patrol of the area.

There were only crazed, die-hard fans around the venue. Where would any suspicious individuals come from?

As expected...

She was just overthinking things.

Why would terrorists target an idol? If they really wanted to cause trouble, the LGD headquarters was right over there...

She could coast for three days and then go back to rest. Getting paid a high commission for three days of chilling—it felt great just thinking about it. If only every mission could be this comfortable.

However...

In a place unknown to them, a phone call came through to Ch'en Sir's mobile as she was on patrol.

"Superintendent Lung!! This is bad, a message just came in from Swire!!"

"Someone has planted a bomb in Lungmen! Location unknown, reason unknown..."
