Chapter 76 - Kelsey, You Are Mine.

"Really?" Norman pulled the car over to the side of the road and held out his hand. His voice was firm. "Let me hear it, then."

It was an old phone, but it still had basic functions—it just couldn't play games.

Neil shot him a look but said nothing, stubbornly turning his head to stare out the window.

Kelsey watched the silent battle between father and son and spoke up softly, "Aren't you guys hungry?"

Norman's eyes shifted to her.

Kelsey pointed to her own stomach, then gestured subtly toward Neil. "Students are used to eating on a schedule. If we don't get to the restaurant soon, he'll be starving."

Norman's expression softened a fraction. "Why are you pointing at your own stomach for him?"

Kelsey scratched her head, a little sheepish. "I get hungry on time, too, you know."

Norman paused, then let out a soft, low laugh and shook his head. "You really are just a kid."

From the back seat, Neil's lips twitched into a faint, almost invisible smile.
