Chapter 13 - Scared path of vengeance Salvation

:: The gurdians promise

The origin of vengeance.....

"Aah!"

Nova woke up with a start. She was still in Darren's hospital. She had woken up hearing the loud clap of thunder.

Lying alone in the dark of that room, she began to feel inexplicably afraid.

It had been a few weeks since she arrived there, and waking up with a start like this in the middle of her sleep had become routine.

Nova lay looking at the light coming in through the window above. For a moment, she drifted into thinking about the past.

Once, when Nova was heartbroken because Nimmi had gotten into trouble because of her, her father came to her.

"Nova," he called her softly.

Nova looked up at her father; guilt was evident on her face.

"Why are you blaming yourself, Nova?" he asked, stroking his daughter's head.

"I only ever put Nimmi in danger, I can't be a good sister," Nova said sadly.

Hearing that, he simply smiled, then pulled her close and said:

"My dear, if you put her in danger, then who is it that saves her from it?"

"Me," Nova replied.

"Exactly... No matter what danger she is in, only you save her from it.

Everyone born on this earth is weak in some things. Some can overcome it alone, but...

For those who absolutely cannot, God gives them a companion from birth, to be with them in everything, always.

Nimmi is like that. She is not like you. In many things, she cannot overcome them alone. So, you, Nova, are a guardian given to her to accompany her through all that. Why are you blaming yourself?"

Nova listened carefully to her father's words.

"Right now, she might have gotten into trouble because of you. But if she ever gets into trouble not because of you, who will save her?"

"I will."

"Yes, you will... Then why are you sad now? Besides, everyone is like this when they are young, Nova."

He held his daughter close.

"You must always be with Nimmi. You must never leave her under any circumstances."

"Yes... I will never leave Nimmi," she promised her father.

Thinking about it, tears rolled down Nova's eyes.

"Hold on for a few more days for me, Nimmi... I will come. I will bring you back," she said softly.

Outside, the rain continued to fall incessantly.

The killer who escaped from Nancy and Creepy is now inside a large building.

He was bandaging the wound on his hand with something.

Suddenly, someone came and stopped outside the room. Knowing that someone was outside, he quickly hid his injured hand behind his back and stepped out.

"Where is the girl...?"

The man asked in a frightening voice. The sound echoed and spread everywhere in the silence.

"That... Lord..., I couldn't find the girl," he said, lowering his head.

"Why...?" the man asked again.

"She escaped. I tried a lot, but sheescaped," there was a tremble in his voice as he replied.

"Escaped...."

The man burst into laughter.

"Escaped, really... That's impossible... Should I believe this?" he asked.

"Yes, Lord... she escaped," he said, keeping his head down.

As the person began to walk forward from there, he saw drops of blood dripping onto the floor from the killer's hand.

Realizing that the man had seen his wound, he tried to cover it. But the man had already grabbed his hand and examined it.

"Who...?"

The man asked in a terrifying voice.

"How did she escape??"

"She attacked you alone, didn't she... Aren't you ashamed to come back defeated like this?"

"She wasn't alone, "

Hearing that, the person glared at him. Even in the darkness, his eyes glowed, and that brilliance was frightening enough to plunge anyone into fear.

"She... she wasn't alone. When I attacked her, someone else attacked me. That's why I couldn't bring her."

He said, lowering his head in fear.

"He is the one who injured me. He is not human..."

Suddenly, the man grabbed and examined the wound on his hand.

"This was not inflicted by a human; its depth is immense. You are alive only because of your luck."

The man moved forward from there.

He entered another room where the entire space was lit with candles.

He placed a broken piece of a necklace onto a table there.

::

The killer, returning to his room, sat looking into the mirror in front of him.

On his face, the pain of some loss and the resentment of mockery were evident.

"A boy, a boy who studied very well and behaved kindly to everyone. He showed nothing but love to everyone.

He was rushing to meet someone.

He had a few red roses in his hand. He went straight with them to a church, where a girl with long hair was praying inside.

After a while, she came out.

She ran towards him, who was waiting outside for her.

"Alex!"

She ran and hugged him. He extended the flowers he had prepared in his hand toward her.

She accepted them.

The two of them left the place together.

Alex didn't have many people to talk to; all he had was the girl's friendship.

He had liked her for a long time. But not knowing how she would take it if he confessed, he hadn't said anything until now.

He would always bring her roses, and she would accept them. Since red roses are a symbol of love, he always gave her only those.

He wished for her to understand from the flowers that he loved her. It seemed as though she also understood it somewhere.

She would always accept the flowers he gave her.

"Hanna... Shall we go out today?" Alex asked.

She looked at him and smiled without saying anything, then walked away.

Before leaving, she looked at him as if to say 'Yes'.

That evening, he took her to a carnival nearby. A very big celebration was going on there.

They both enjoyed everything. Finally, they entered a photo booth.

Once inside, he decided in his mind that he must confess his love to her. With every moment that brought him closer to her, the fear inside him also increased.

Finally, they came out of the booth and went to a game area. There, she won a rose. It had lines written on it, like a boyfriend would give to a girlfriend.

She gave it to him as a sign of her love. Seeing that, he was convinced in his heart that she loved him too.

A few days passed. Alex, convinced that Hanna loved him, continued to give her flowers every day.

Alex worked in an old flower shop. He bought her flowers from the salary he received there every day.

After a few days, Alex decided to go to her house to confess his love openly.

As usual, he carried many flowers for her.

That day, contrary to normal, it began to rain heavily outside.

He arrived at her house with the flowers; the house was locked. The rain was getting heavier.

He slowly walked over to the window of the house. That's when he heard the sound of someone talking inside.

"Hanna... you shouldn't keep leading him on like this. He thinks you love him."

"So? How many people love me? Should I love all of them?"

She burst into laughter.

"Then what about Alex?"

"He's just a fool. All he wants is my mere affection. Let him think I'm giving it to him... Until I get what I need, Alex is enough for me as entertainment..."

She laughed again. She saw Alex's love as nothing more than a joke.

Alex, hearing all this from outside, had tears streaming down his face. The moment he realized that the girl he loved more than his life was just making a clown out of him, sadness and anger rose in him simultaneously.

He walked back in the rain from there.

He ran forward through the silent, empty street.

He finally reached the church, sat in front of it, and began to cry his heart out.

Hanna was all he had, who had no one else. But the realization that she was deceiving him was unbearable.

Alex wept uncontrollably.

"Alex..."

Suddenly, he heard someone calling him there.

It was as if someone was calling him somewhere in the surrounding darkness.

"Who is it...?" he asked, scared.

"Why are you crying...? For whom are you crying? What mistake did you make, Alex, that you should cry?"

The voice was moving towards him.

"Who are you...?" Alex asked, looking into the darkness.

"Why do you cry for those who, despite recognizing true love, use it to hurt? You shouldn't be the one crying. Shouldn't it be those who caused it?"

From the darkness, a blade attached to an iron chain moved towards him.

"Your love was understood, yet you were hurt. Why should you forgive that? Forgiveness is precious in this world. Are you going to give it to those who hurt you despite understanding you... or... are you going to give them the physical pain you are suffering...?"

Alex stood silently for a moment and finally took the chain in his hand.

"You are wise, Alex. Take revenge until your pain is gone."

The voice vanished into the darkness.

Taking the blade in his hand, Alex went straight to Hanna's place.

He entered the house, and the next thing heard there was Hanna's scream.

After a while, he came out. Drenched in blood, he looked at the incessantly falling rain.

There was no pain in his mind now; instead, a sense of pleasure arose within him from her pain.

He went straight from there to the front of another large building.

"Alex...."

Sitting in front of the mirror, he slowly came into the light.

In Alex's eyes now, there was only vengeance and the joy that came from the screams of those who hurt others, whom he destroyed.

"Alex, I trust that you will not prove my choice of you to be a foolish one," the man said from the darkness.

"I will never disappoint you, Lord.

No matter how much I have to fight, I will bring her back."

Alex gripped the blade tightly in his hand.
