Chapter 47 - Chapter 47: Your Transformations Are All Wrong

With the descent of the two supreme gods of Universe Seven, the chaotic aura enveloping the planet grew even more turbulent.

Especially the faint yet overwhelming aura of destruction radiating from Beerus—its mere presence distorted the planet's magnetic field.

Crackle!

Countless bolts of lightning rained down from the heavens, painting a scene straight out of the apocalypse.

At the center of the ruins stood Gran and his two companions, their faces illuminated by the flashes of lightning.

The young Gran frowned.

Upon hearing Beerus mention a "green-haired state," the first thing that came to his mind was Broly.

Only Broly—the Legendary Super Saiyan—could transform into such a form. But…

Broly, just like Son Goku, had been exiled three years ago. Which meant… he was younger than Gran himself.

Could it be that such a young Broly had already achieved the Legendary Super Saiyan state? Otherwise, how could Beerus and Whis even know about it?

"We? How did we know?" Beerus turned his gaze to Whis. "Whis, why don't you explain?"

"Lord Beerus, didn't you also hear the legend of Odys? Why make me tell it?"

Whis's expression softened as he saw that Gran hadn't lost his reason—and that his hair wasn't the wild grass-green of the berserk state.

At least, things weren't as bad as he had imagined.

"You…"

Beerus's eyes widened. He had just scolded Whis a little too loudly earlier and felt slightly guilty about it. But seeing the situation now, perhaps he had been too kind.

So, in the end, it was Beerus who began recounting the legend of Odys to Gran.

When he finished, Beerus narrowed his eyes and said, "Kid, that ancient record your Saiyan clan keeps—it must've been passed down from Odys himself, right?"

"..."

Inside, Gran's heart churned like a raging sea.

That "ancient record" was something he had only mentioned offhandedly… Who would have thought Whis would actually seek out the Grand Priest because of it?

And even more shocking—his Saiyan lineage truly had a connection to the divine!

Then again…

Thinking deeper, it all made sense. Broly's transformation was an atavistic mutation. If there hadn't been an ancestor who had achieved that state before, how could Broly's bloodline have awakened it again?

Odys, huh… how fascinating.

"Yes."

Gran nodded calmly, keeping his composure before the two supreme deities. "The green-haired form you mentioned is indeed the transformation of my ancestor. Among our Saiyan kind, that form is known as the Legendary Super Saiyan."

"The Legendary Super Saiyan?"

Beerus and Whis exchanged glances. That flawed, unstable form deserved such a grand title?

"Then what about your form?"

In a flash of movement too fast for the eye to follow, Beerus appeared right beside Gran.

Before Gran could even react, a purple feline paw pressed down on his shoulder, and golden strands of hair were casually flicked between Beerus's fingers.

"Unlike that green-haired berserk form, your golden-haired state doesn't rob you of reason… but your aura, your power, your emotions—"

Beerus's voice turned cold, his divine pressure bursting forth like a storm.

Whis continued softly, "Haven't you noticed? This golden-haired state may increase your strength fiftyfold, but just as Lord Beerus said, your ki, your emotions, even your spirit have all become turbulent and unstable."

"In this golden-haired form, can you still enter the [Ultra Instinct - Omen] state?"

Whis approached, placing a hand gently atop the prodigious child's head.

His expression, usually so refined, now carried a faint trace of disappointment—almost heartache.

"I…"

Gran looked up, just about to explain—

"Whether it's your ancestor's green-haired state or your current golden one," Beerus interrupted sternly, "both transformations are wrong."

"Transformation only burdens your body further. True strength lies in mastering your power in your base form."

Beerus pinched Gran's cheek lightly, sighing. "Your talent is terrifying, kid. But your path is still long. Don't stray too far into the wrong direction. Let's return to the Realm of Destruction first."

Whis nodded and was about to teleport them back to the God of Destruction's realm.

"Wait!"

Gran suddenly raised his hand. Now he understood—the reason Beerus and Whis had appeared here was to stop him from treading down the path of the Super Saiyan.

He couldn't help but laugh helplessly. "I'll explain everything once we return. But for now, don't be in such a hurry. There's still something far more important I have to do."

"???"

Something more important?

Before Beerus or Whis could ask, Gran placed his fingers to his forehead—then vanished with them in an instant.

A kilometer away

The fierce wind had blown Vegeta's battered body far across the battlefield. His armor was shattered, his spine nearly broken, and his body covered in countless wounds.

"Nappa… you don't think Vegeta's dead, do you?"

Now that Gran's terrifying pressure had finally subsided, Raditz and Nappa crept back cautiously.

But the sight before them nearly made their hearts stop.

"It wouldn't be surprising if he is," Nappa grunted. "Against power like Gran's, not dying would be stranger."

He flipped Vegeta over—then blinked in shock. "Huh? He's… still alive?"

Barely. Vegeta looked like a corpse, yet somehow, a faint breath still lingered.

Though, from the looks of it, even if he survived… he wouldn't last much longer.

"Well, he did abandon Gran once. Even if we wanted to help, do you dare?"

Raditz crouched beside Vegeta's mangled body and sighed.

"If you want to save him, don't drag me into it," Nappa snorted. "I've got no love for this guy."

"Hey, don't get me wrong—I don't want to save him either."

"Then why'd you just say you did?"

"I was just saying it, alright? That's not a crime." Raditz stood up, brushing the dust off his hands, and turned away from Vegeta's dying form.

"..."

Nappa's mouth twitched. "Gran's power is terrifying. With Vegeta like this, it's only a matter of time before he dies. We used to be on the same team—he might come after us next. Let's get off this planet while we still can."

"Yeah. Good thing we hid our ship, or it'd be scrap metal after that blast."

Raditz nodded, relieved.

The two decided to abandon Vegeta and make their escape.

It was ironic, really—Vegeta, once the proud Prince of all Saiyans, who had always discarded others when they became useless, was now the one being left behind.

But then again…

Among the Saiyans of this era, such betrayal was common. Perhaps that was the tragedy of their race.

As they prepared to leave for their buried ship

Rumble…!

A low hum filled the air. The engines of a medium-sized spaceship echoed through the atmosphere as it descended through the clouds.

"Eh? Whose ship is that?" Raditz squinted upward. Something about it looked familiar.

"Nappa, do you see it too? That ship… it looks just like the ones from Frieza's headquarters"

He froze mid-sentence. Both of them stiffened, eyes wide.

"It's… the Ginyu Force's ship!!!"

The elite strike team directly under Frieza's command—each member powerful enough to destroy planets with ease.

And today… they had arrived here.

"Nappa… you don't think they're here for us, do you?" Raditz asked nervously. "Did Frieza find out we betrayed him?!"

"Most likely," Nappa spat. "If they'd come earlier, maybe they could've killed us. But now, with Gran here—heh, they're walking into their own graves."

No sooner had the words left his mouth

Whoosh!

Three figures appeared beside them in an instant.

It was Gran, Beerus, and Whis.

The moment they arrived, the overwhelming divine pressure flattened Raditz and Nappa to the ground.

"Y-you're Gran?!"

"Why… why is your hair golden now?!"
