Chapter 128 - Chapter 128: I’ll Take Him With Me

Was that on purpose?

Gran shot his God of Destruction a strange look.

"Whis, you talk too much!"

Beerus glared at Whis, and upon noticing Gran's stare, quickly turned his head aside.

"Don't listen to Whis' nonsense. You know my personality—there's no way I deliberately left those unqualified planets for you."

"Hmph! I just can't be bothered to deal with them. From now on, all planetary cleansing and destruction missions are yours!"

Only by handing destruction duties to Gran could his Destruction Power grow rapidly.

Beerus had saved up nine years' worth of unqualified planets… all for this moment.

"Thank you, Lord Beerus!"

Hearing Beerus' words, Gran felt moved and amused at the same time.

Could his dead-tsundere master stop acting like this for once?

"That Candidate God of Destruction Battle doesn't have much time left, but everything is going exactly as I predicted. Gran, you don't need to worry."

Whis stood up. "I've arranged your training regimen. Next, focus on refining your Destruction Power until you reach the Rule Level."

"You've already comprehended Destruction Power—this stage will be very easy for you."

"And also!"

Whis swung his staff. A bulky outfit appeared on Gran.

The sudden gravity made Gran stumble.

A gravity suit!

Gran instantly recognized it.

Back then, he'd worn this exact suit and pushed his normal-state power to one billion battle power.

While Gran was dazed

"Your current dimensional level has reached the peak of the Divine Dimension. Your bodily instincts have broken into Third Stage. Your state of mind…"

Whis listed out every aspect of Gran's martial cultivation.

Upon hearing Gran's detailed strength evaluation, both the Old Kai and Shin felt their hearts tremble wildly.

Insane!

How could a normal person reach this level in just a decade?!

No—Gran was never a "normal" person to begin with.

"This guy… really is something," Beerus muttered in his heart.

As expected of my prized disciple!

Listening to Whis discuss his abilities, Gran only felt uncomfortable, as if someone were stripping him bare in public.

"Alright, alright, Whis, stop talking."

Gran waved frantically, half-dragging his heavy suit.

But

Whis didn't stop.

"You've been a Candidate God of Destruction for so long, yet strictly speaking, you've only ever trained your physical strength once."

Gran glanced at his gravity suit. True.

Ever since he trained himself up to one billion battle power back then, he'd never again cultivated pure strength.

The reason his power had advanced so much since was purely due to the transformation from mortal power to divine power.

"I know your strength has still grown over the years, but that's all natural growth."

Whis tapped his staff gently onto Gran's head. A streak of light shot into him.

Information flooded his mind, making his head throb.

"T-This… what is all this?"

Gran steadied himself, confused.

"These are the coordinates of rejected planets. Since all your other martial paths have reached a bottleneck, the only things you can cultivate now are strength… and Destruction Power."

Whis smiled. "So while you train Destruction Power, you'll also train your pure strength at the same time."

Dual cultivation? What am I—some kind of pack mule?!

Gran's eyes widened.

As if reading his mind, Whis tapped him again.

"What nonsense are you thinking? I'm only asking you to wear the suit while you destroy planets, not to deliberately train strength."

Whis snorted. "You even wore that suit when you entered the Sumī Realm back then!"

Beerus turned his head back and snickered.

"You survived that double-pressure ordeal, and now you're complaining about wearing the suit while blowing up planets?"

"…"

Now that he thought about it… back then, desperate to improve, he really did act like he had a death wish—marching into the Sumī Realm wearing a gravity suit.

And he'd stayed there for several months!

Remembering those giant beasts now… the fact that they didn't rip him apart on sight was pure luck.

"So? Any other objections?" Whis asked.

Everyone looked at him.

Gran didn't speak. Instead, he went quiet—deep in thought.

Seeing this, Whis felt truly pleased.

He had always taught Gran:

In cultivation, rely on your own judgment.

Do not blindly do whatever others tell you to.

The body was a mysterious thing. Even as an angel, Whis couldn't monitor Gran's condition every second.

Beerus and the Old Kai were also relieved and didn't disturb him.

After a while

Gran finished examining himself. Everything Whis said matched his current state perfectly.

At the moment, he couldn't make significant progress in any area… except strength and Destruction Rules.

"I have no objections."

Gran shook his head.

"Good."

Whis smiled. "Since you just awakened Destruction Power, stay in the Supreme Kai Realm a little longer to familiarize yourself with it before you go."

Gran nodded. He glanced at Broly, who was still eating, hesitating.

"What's wrong?"

Beerus leaned back on his chair, opening a bag of Earth snacks.

"Lord Beerus… what about Broly when I leave?"

At this, little Broly instantly stopped eating.

"Gran-nii! I want to go with you!"

Gran didn't respond to him—instead, he kept looking at Beerus.

"That kid is too unstable. I can't let him stay in the Supreme Kai Realm."

Beerus said flatly.

Broly's berserk power wasn't too strong yet, but what if he suddenly entered that green form?

In that state, his power rose without limit!

"So… are you planning to train him?"

Gran understood Beerus' concern.

With the Old Kai unsealed, Broly staying here would be a walking time bomb for both him and Shin.

Beerus wouldn't agree—and neither would Gran.

"He hasn't solved his berserk issue. I'm not interested."

Beerus shook his head.

Odys' body constitution was monstrous, sure, but this kid wasn't Gran.

Even if he brought Broly to the God of Destruction Realm, he couldn't teach him anything.

Train Destruction?

Send him into the Dimensional Tower to train dimensions?

Don't be ridiculous.

Before he fixed his berserk issue, that would just make him go even more berserk.

Gran turned to Whis next.

"For now, he's better off staying with you."

Whis sat back down and poured tea for everyone.

"Unless you want me to take him instead—I don't mind."

"No, forget it. At this stage, it's safer for him to stay with me."

Gran ruffled little Broly's hair.
