Four years passed by with me and Fester. The first bank robbery he taught me how to put someone to sleep explaining how he felt his power work. It take a couple of weeks to do which he surpisingly waited for each time we went to the bank at night. After that it was bank after bank just for fun with sometimes a special visit somewhere for example an auction, we stole someone's old coin Fester wanted.
That is till today, "Fester Addam, you are being arrested for robbery and endangering a child."
"Well officer he's not really my child, he doesn't have my good looks or shocking personality. He's more killer of enjoyment and good music than a child, wonderful side kick though."
"And you boy what name do you go by? Your not registered in our normie list nor outcasts."
"Elliott Mrs."
"Noted take them to jail for now. I'll sort this out later, or rather that family will. Why do I get the useless cases."
A week passed of me being in a lonely jail cell. Fester got isolated since he's known for escaping and me, they saw little conviction in me. They were right, these last years I was living without a care in the world. I bought my mother a beautiful statue of a maple tree made with marble and after just sent or left flowers all over her grave. The extra money I donated to orphanages and to dog pounds for the older ones.
Would they send me to juvenile or something. While in my thoughts the officer in charge opened the cell and dragged me out. They gave me my clothes back and told me to go outside a car was waiting for me.
I expected to see Fester but I saw a tall man inside. He groaned and gave me a letter gently. Opening I knew it was written by Fester after four years of being together.
"Well Elliott I've hit the end...Of our joint partnership that is. Their taking me on vacation again before I decide my next gig. And well they mentioned I ruined your future and took your skills for my own personal use since you don't know any better but thats a lie you were paid and took my money. But I know you, you gave your money away so since we're pals I sent you to be looked after my brother. Least I could do really, I owed your mother a favor or two doesn't matter. Point is your power is growing unstable, how else did we get caught? Well hopefully they teach you something if you ever want to team up again.
P.S I did steal your shoes that time at the beach."
Ain't my fault we were caught, that guard just had insomnia. The tall man opened the door to car behind him pointing to me to leave with him. I turned to the police station and back to him, I'll trust Fester this once. How bad could they be compared to him?
I fell asleep on the ride when I woke up in a bed. It was red both it and the blankets in deep dark red as if a vampire owned them. The walls of the room were a dark wood and the curtains filled with cobwebs but as if by design. Gazing around the room until I found the door which was hand crafted I walked out. A hallway waited for me outside large enough for me not to know which way to go, left or right as they were long enough to not see the end.
"Right is right " I said making it to the end I found a door and opened by an inch. I opened it slowly hoping to talk to someone when an axe flew at me. A second before it hit I closed the door were a bang was heard.
"Wrong door! Sorry!" And ran to the other side of the hall were stairs waited me. I walked down them watching behind me in case of an axe.
Then a loud voice echoed gaining my attention. I was in the middle of the staircase at the entrance of what is most likely a mansion and I mean huge mansion. The voice belonged to a gentleman with a fine tailored suit, wonderful mustache and a elegant presence. The lady next to him was taller and pale, her midnight dress suited her figure excellently and her gaze had wisdom a smile that drew attention. Together they were perfect puzzle pieces and brought each other's nature, "ah it's my brothers apprentice or should I say master thief now, after graduation and leaving his grace."
"But I was caught?"
"Only happens to those worthy of being chased my boy." There was pride in his voice which confused me since he called me a thief.
"Gomez darling the poor thing must be starving, let's leave thr conversation for later I'm sure Elliott will like to know what we-"
The lady stopped talking as she stared behind me to which I instinctively followed. Behind me was a girl about the same height as me with two braids and pale skin. What got my attention was the axe in her hands.
"It's rude for guests to leave uninvited without paying the consequences for disturbing the peace."
Gomez spoke with cheerful tone, "ah I see you've met my lovely daughter Wednesday."
Then it all came to me like a cold shower this is that show they were premiering before I died.
From the shock I didn't realize I was staring into her eyes and when I came to I began blushing from the shame.
"Their getting along nicely Morticia, normally Wednesday doesn't tolerate people that close to her. Come let's go."
I took a step downstairs my eyes fixed on her incase she swung when she spoke in whisper for only us to hear, "I only get close when it's personal."
We went to dinner facing each other. Gomez and Morticia remained stuck in their own world in love. I don't know what we were eating but I ate it anyways wanting to leave after Wednesday never stopped staring at me.
"Thank you for the meal. It was great."
"Sorry Elliott, tomorrow we'll talk about your stay. Go to bed and don't misbehave."
I turned away from them and gave one final glance to Wednesday in front of me. She took the knife used for cutting the meat and placed it beneath the table for safe keeping.
With that I left to my room securing the door with a chair. And after a while fell asleep.
