Chapter 2 - Chapter 2

Time passed quietly, and soon it was March 1st, Year 39 of Konoha.

In just four months, Shin'en had accumulated another 141 potential points. Combined with his remaining balance, his total now reached 226 points.

He still hadn't encountered the opening of a new world.

But Shin'en wasn't in a hurry.Even if a new world did open, he'd still need potential points to choose an identity — and he wanted to make sure his next start would be perfect.

In eleven days, it would be time for the new semester at the Ninja Academy.

Shin'en had already completed his registration in advance.

At six in the morning, he woke up early for training.

To ensure proper physical development, he always went to bed before 10:30 p.m. and fell asleep no later than 11:00.Then, he would rise at dawn and begin his daily exercises.

Between the ages of four and five, every Hyuga child was required to attend the clan's private school — just like the other great clans.

This ensured that even those with poor natural talent could still maintain an above-average level among their peers.

Of course, Shin'en was an exception — his innate talent was far too poor.

Between ages five and six, he rarely attended classes. His Gentle Fist was subpar, and before improving his talent, no amount of effort could make a difference.

After all, the Naruto world was one ruled by bloodlines and talent — a world where power depended on how close your lineage was to the Sage of Six Paths or Kaguya, and whose "cheat" was stronger!

Still, after months of training, his reflexes had noticeably improved. He no longer lagged behind children his age.

As usual, Shin'en began with basic physical conditioning.

He ran around the block seven or eight laps, then returned home to practice Gentle Fist.

Afterward, he sat cross-legged in his room and began training in the Breathing Technique of Thunder.

"Hoo—""Hmm—"

His breathing rose and fell in rhythm — strong and steady at first, then gradually becoming slow and controlled. Faint white mist began to seep from his nostrils.

When a dull ache spread through his lungs, Shin'en stopped.

The breathing method was somewhat similar to qigong from his previous life — a technique to stimulate the body's energy.

Since chakra was a combination of physical and spiritual energy, it naturally enhanced the effects of the breathing method.

When he first practiced this technique in this world, even his tiny reserve of chakra began circulating on its own, improving his cultivation speed slightly.

Unfortunately, his chakra reserves were pitifully small.

His innate nature was Water, which didn't hinder the Thunder Breathing practice — but if it were Lightning, the results might've been far better.

Still, he wasn't impatient. His talent was already poor; all he could do was develop steadily.

The Second Great Ninja War had just ended, and the Third would begin around Konoha Year 43 — meaning he still had three to four years to prepare.

His goal was to become a medical ninja, reducing his chances of being sent to the frontlines.

With his [Subconscious Mind LV3] ability, one person studying was equivalent to two, so mastering medical ninjutsu shouldn't be too hard.

As for talent issues, he could address them gradually through dream projections over the coming years.

For now, the priority was stability.

Since his body hadn't fully matured, he could only practice breathing for short periods — overtraining could damage his lungs or organs.

To extend his training duration, the key was to use chakra to protect his lungs during practice.

But again, his limited chakra was a major problem.

His parents had both been ordinary Hyuga chunin — nothing special in talent.

When Shin'en was born, not only did he fail to inherit their potential, but his white hair and blue-white eyes (instead of the pure white typical of the Hyuga) made him seem... different.

At first, he thought he might have inherited some Otsutsuki bloodline, perhaps related to Hamura, but two years of observation proved that theory wrong.

At his current age, most known ways to strengthen the body or expand chakra reserves were simply not available.

After finishing his breathing practice, Shin'en moved to the yard for sword training — one thousand swings a day, gradually increasing over time.

He couldn't yet use any sword techniques, but he wanted his body to remember the motion.

By 8:30 a.m., he finished, took a bath, and began cooking breakfast.

Fortunately, before his parents' deaths, they had left behind some savings and a small house.

That money would support him for at least three to five years — enough until he became a ninja and earned his own income.

After eating, Shin'en sat on the sofa with a book titled "Introduction to Medical Ninjutsu Theory", borrowed from the Academy library.

Given his current trajectory, pursuing medical ninjutsu was clearly the best option.

Once his medical skills improved, he would likely avoid the frontlines, or at least the most dangerous parts of battle.

Moreover, research and healing offered better long-term prospects.

Even if his talent improved later, learning medical techniques was still highly valuable.

Although his chakra was too low to even activate the Byakugan, that would come with time.

With the Byakugan's x-ray-like vision, he would have a natural advantage in medical practice.

And thanks to his adult-level mind — plus [Subconscious Mind], effectively two minds learning at once — his study efficiency was unmatched.

Even if his ninja talent was poor, his learning ability was top-tier.

He opened the book, sharing his vision with the subconscious clone. His main mind focused on the left page, while his secondary mind handled the right.Together, they recorded the knowledge directly into his brain, effectively doubling his reading speed.

"Hmm?"

As Shin'en devoured the medical text, a deep blue panel suddenly appeared before his eyes.

The information displayed made him instantly forget everything else.

[New World Unlocked!]Spend 30 potential points to begin Dream Projection?

Available World: Naruto WorldTimeline: Ancient Era — 99 days before the arrival of Kaguya Ōtsutsuki

"What—"

"The ancient era? Ninety-nine days before Kaguya's arrival? That means… I might actually meet her?!"

His heart skipped a beat.

Judging from how Kaguya Ōtsutsuki behaved in the original story, she was rather naïve and trusting.

If he could meet her, earning her trust shouldn't be too hard — and even a small benefit from her could change everything.

"Wait— Calm down! Think first!"

He rushed to the bathroom, splashed cold water on his face, then looked back at the glowing blue panel.
