Chapter 4 - Chapter 4 : My Mangekyō can copy certain unique jutsu

Arata's caution was palpable, his words serious.

"Finally, can you tell me your Mangekyō's ability and name? I need to plan accordingly.

Of course, I'll tell you mine first—fair is fair."

Shisui thought for a moment, seeing the logic. For the clan's future, the two of them needed to cooperate.

He nodded in agreement.

Arata relaxed, but only slightly.

All this talk, all this effort… it was to copy Shisui's Kotoamatsukami.

Pointing to his left eye, Arata said:

"My Mangekyō, left eye, is called 'Time's Rift.' It shows glimpses of the future, randomly. Uncontrollable, as you know."

Shisui nodded. Arata's grin returned mischievously.

"Shisui… do you remember my nickname?"

"Of course. The 'Copying Eye of the Uchiha.' You're the clan's master at replicating enemy techniques."

Arata chuckled, pointing to his right eye.

"My right eye's ability is called 'Copying Eye.' Guess what it does."

"Copying Eye? You could replicate jutsu with your three-tomoe Sharingan.

Now that it's Mangekyō, I assume the ability has improved…" Shisui murmured.

Slowly, a chill ran down his spine. His eyes widened in disbelief.

Arata grinned, proudly:

"Exactly. My Mangekyō can copy certain unique jutsu.

Special jutsu… called Kekkei Genkai."

In reality, Arata's Sharingan wasn't yet capable of fully copying Kekkei Genkai.

But his system indicated that once he copied Shisui's Kotoamatsukami, evolving it into a Mangekyō, he could replicate part of its power.

Seeing Shisui's reaction, Arata scratched his head awkwardly:

"Don't be alarmed. Only a few select techniques can be copied. It's not as overpowered as it seems."

Shisui shook off his fear and even chuckled at his own reaction.

"I thought my Mangekyō was frightening… yet yours is just as formidable."

He paused. Then explained, voice serious:

"My Mangekyō.....both eyes.....hold the ability called Kotoamatsukami.

It lets me manipulate someone's mind without their awareness, permanently altering their thoughts and will."

"But there's a major drawback: the cooldown is extremely long. After use, at least ten years are needed before it can be activated again."

He sighed deeply.

"I had hoped to use it to ease tensions between the clan and Konoha. But now… it seems I've failed, and I may lose both my life and my eyes."

Arata listened intently. Now he was one step closer to his goal.

His voice careful, he said:

"If that's your Mangekyō, then I know how to balance the tensions between the clan and the village."

Hearing Uchiha Arata's words, Shisui felt as if he were drowning and had just grabbed onto the last lifeline.

There was no doubt.....Shisui was the Uchiha who most wished for peace between his clan and the village.

If Arata's plan was to have the Uchiha completely leave Konoha, Shisui would be the one most upset, perhaps even the strongest objector.

Yet, under the circumstances, having the Uchiha withdraw from the village was undeniably the safest solution.

Konoha, as the First Ninja Village, was plagued with troubles both big and small.

Not to mention, in just a few years, that rogue student of Jiraiya would come to capture the Nine-Tails.

He would strike with a devastating attack...something like Chōjinriki Raikōken.....reducing the sprawling village to ruins.

And that was just one of countless disasters waiting to happen.

So, the best option for now was a full relocation of the clan, leaving Konoha behind.

Perhaps the Third Hokage, seeing the Uchiha act sensibly, would even hold a formal farewell ceremony.

But even that farewell could be a trap, paving the way for the Uchiha's eradication under the guise of propriety.

Shisui, who devoted himself to the Will of Fire, loved more than just his clan.....he loved the entire village.

For him, leaving was not an easy choice, and it was something he likely could never agree with.

Thus, the only feasible plan left to preserve both his life and that of the Uchiha was to ease tensions between the clan and the village.

That was the only way to change the fate of a clan destined for annihilation.

Arata fixed his gaze on Shisui, ready to pose the crucial question.
