Chapter 32 - Bab 32.

The Imposition

Upon arriving at Wang Xiaoxi's office, Wei Yu Chen remained inside the car, observing the tall building in the exclusive business district. From a distance, the (Chenxi She) logo, in gleaming gold letters, shone above the glass door, reflecting the afternoon light.

The building was elegant, modern, with a pristine glass faclade, silver metal ornaments, and a small garden with hidden lights, asserting an image of professional creativity.

In front of the building, cars were neatly parked. The atmosphere here was still premium yet modest, reflecting Xiaoxi's company: creative, elegant, and highly organized.

Yu Chen observed the details: a reception sign with dark wood accents, glossy black leather guest chairs, and tidy bookshelves displaying the company's best editing work.

"Chenxi She," Yu Chen murmured to himself, his tone cold but with a hint of curiosity. He prepared himself to face the negotiations that would determine Xiaoxi's future and an important step for himself.

Jiang Fan sat beside him, his eyes sparkling. "Ge, everything is ready. I've arranged the meeting with the company manager. They don't know we're coming," he said, engaging the car's handbrake.

Yu Chen nodded, his eyes still focused on the imposing building. A moment of silence passed, broken only by the whisper of the wind through the trees on the pavement. Beneath his composure lay a firm aura of determination: Xiaoxi had to be at X Dragon Studio, and he was prepared to do anything for it.

The car stopped in front of the automatic glass door, the headlights reflecting on the smooth marble floor.

Yu Chen opened the door slowly, gazing at this professional and classy building, the witness to a new chapter in his life and Xiaoxi's.

Jiang Fan exited the car first, adjusting his mask and cap.

He walked steadily towards the glass door of (Chenxi She), taking in the modern façade: the reflective glass surface, the minimalist garden with hidden lights, and the golden company nameplate emphasizing an elegant and professional impression.

Inside, the office atmosphere remained calm, employees busy with monitor screens, and shelves displaying Chenxi She's best works. Jiang Fan proceeded to the main conference room—a minimalist long table with a dark wooden surface, a large monitor displaying project schedules and editing portfolios.

Several management staff were present: the division head, the HR manager, and several senior staff overseeing the meeting.

Jiang Fan straightened up, his voice firm yet professional:

"We are from X Dragon Studio. The purpose of today's visit is to discuss the possibility of cooperation and the transfer of one of the company's creative employees to our team, for strategic projects currently under development."

The division head looked at Jiang Fan cautiously.

"This is a significant step. Could you elaborate on your studio's intentions?"

Jiang Fan nodded. "Certainly. Our studio wants to ensure this transition does not disrupt Chenxi She's internal operations, while also providing an opportunity for broader professional development for the creative team. All procedures will be conducted transparently, professionally, and with full respect for the company's rights."

The HR manager paused, considering the matter seriously. "Your arrival was sudden, but we appreciate the structured approach. Has X Dragon Studio prepared a framework for cooperation and a formal proposal?"

From the meeting door, Yu Chen entered with a steady stride, his aura dominant yet elegant, his attire neat and his expression firm. He sat at the head of the table, looking at the management staff with a sharp yet professional gaze. The atmosphere immediately felt tense: his presence confirmed that this was no ordinary meeting.

Yu Chen initiated the discussion:

"We wish to discuss a strategic move for the transfer of one of Chenxi She's creative employees to X Dragon Studio. Our studio offers facilities, team support, and broader project opportunities, which will undoubtedly provide maximum benefit for the professional career of the individual concerned."

The division head nodded slowly, weighing Yu Chen's firm tone and authority. Jiang Fan sat beside him, ready to support, ensuring the discussion remained smooth, elegant, and professional.

Every detail the contract documents on the table, the monitor displaying the project timeline, the aroma of coffee, and the soft lighting created an atmosphere of a premium, serious, and high-class meeting, like a high-end drama script.

The conference room at Chenxi She was tense, the air almost palpably thick. The soft lights above the long table reflected the shadows of the management staff sitting upright, their serious faces signaling the importance of the decision that needed to be made. The scent of coffee from small cups beside them mingled with the aroma of paper documents, adding an elegant yet stressful nuance.

Mr. Wang began the discussion, his tone calm yet grave.

"We understand X Dragon Studio's intent. However, we must assert that the creative asset in question is an integral part of Chenxi She. Releasing them is not an easy decision for this company."

The HR Manager interjected, his tone firmer:

"Xiaoxi is a senior editor; her experience and skills cannot simply be replaced. What if there is a risk of project disruption or a decline in quality standards? This is not merely moving an employee; this concerns the continuity of our company's reputation."

Several senior staff members exchanged glances, nodding in agreement, their muffled consensus adding to the tension in the room.

On the other side of the table, Yu Chen remained seated comfortably. His expression was cold, almost like a marble statue.

Yet every movement of his eyes reflected full attention, even though he had not uttered a single word. He listened intently, allowing Chenxi She's side to express their concerns and professional reasons.

Mr. Wang continued, his voice softer but firm, trying to balance professionalism with personal concern:

"To be honest… in my mind, I would actually be willing for this asset to go if it truly is for a better career and reputation. X Dragon Studio clearly has broader facilities and opportunities. However, we cannot simply let her go, as our responsibility for ongoing projects is considerable."

The HR Manager glanced at Yu Chen briefly, then added:

"We hope the studio understands, this is not a personal refusal, but a professional decision. We appreciate the offer of cooperation, but every step must be through careful consideration."

The room fell silent for a moment. Small details were visible: the monitor displayed the stacked project timeline, contract documents were neatly aligned on the table, the aroma of coffee still lingered, and the shadows of the spotlights highlighted the serious faces of the management.

Yu Chen remained silent, his body upright but relaxed. His gaze was cold, as if evaluating every word spoken, but his dominant and professional aura was clearly palpable.

He did not interrupt the conversation, only allowing Chenxi She's side to express their reasons with full conviction. A fleeting flicker in his eyes showed extraordinary composure, making the meeting atmosphere premium, tense, yet elegant.

After a few minutes, Jiang Fan sat beside Yu Chen, ensuring the strategy remained controlled, yet still allowing Yu Chen to be the center of attention. Every detail—the seating position, facial expression, hand gestures, and pauses in conversation formed a professional, proportioned, and high-end drama script ready for adaptation.

The conference room became instantly quiet when Yu Chen finally spoke. His voice was low, firm, and concise, cutting through the tension hanging in the air. Every word that left his lips was chosen with precision, asserting the professional dominance and authority of X Dragon Studio.

"Miss Xiao will remain at X Dragon Studio," Yu Chen stated, his gaze sweeping across the table, holding an almost freezing cold aura.

"We appreciate Chenxi She's role, but this decision is final. If your company decides to appeal to the court over a unilateral termination of the employment contract, X Dragon Studio is prepared to bear any costs necessary."

Mr. Wang straightened up, silent for a moment. Yu Chen's tone was too calm, yet every word carried a power difficult to ignore.

Small details intensified the tension: the monitor highlighted the project schedule, contract documents neatly arranged, the coffee aroma still present, spotlight shadows accentuating the serious faces of the management.

The HR Manager sighed, attempting to alleviate the mounting tension. "You are very resolute, Mr. Wei… but decisions like this are not just about money. They concern projects, team responsibilities, and our operational continuity."

Yu Chen remained seated upright, his hands folded on the table, his face cold with no easily readable expression. "We understand that," he replied tersely,

"but our decision cannot be challenged. All procedures will remain legally compliant and professional. There is no compromise on quality, and we will ensure this transition proceeds smoothly."

Jiang Fan sat by Yu Chen's side, watching the management staff with a calm yet controlling gaze. He ensured every detail of the conversation was recorded, yet allowed Yu Chen to be the center of authority.

The meeting atmosphere remained tense; every detail hand gestures, pauses in conversation, eye contact reinforced the premium atmosphere.

No words were wasted; everything sounded like a high-class drama script, ready to be professionally adapted with visuals and scenes.
