Chapter 3 - The Room at the End of Block C

After that night, I couldn't stay calm. Every time I walked back into that room, I felt like someone was watching me — not just from the mirror, but from every shadow in the corners.

By the third day, I couldn't take it anymore. I needed answers.

During lunch, I found Kak Mira again and asked directly,

"Who used to stay in my room?"

Her spoon froze mid-air. She didn't look at me.

"You don't want to know."

"I need to know," I said, voice trembling slightly.

She sighed deeply, then looked around to make sure no one else was listening.

"Her name was Nabila. She was a senior here… last semester."

My throat tightened. "What happened to her?"

Kak Mira lowered her voice.

"She… changed. It started with the mirror. She said she saw herself move even when she didn't. Then she started talking to it. At first, we thought she was just stressed. But one night, she screamed said something was coming through the mirror."

I felt my skin crawl.

"The next morning, she was gone. Door locked from the inside. The mirror was cracked and her name was written on the glass."

I could barely breathe. "Was she ever found?"

Kak Mira shook her head slowly. "No. Only her shoes… right in front of that mirror."

That night, I didn't even try to sleep. I sat on the bed, eyes fixed on the white cloth now back over the mirror. My phone was plugged in, flashlight ready. Every creak made me flinch.

Around 2 a.m., I started hearing it again the soft whispering. Only this time, it wasn't from the mirror.

It came from under my bed.

The voice was faint but unmistakable.

"Help me… please…"

I froze. My heart pounded so hard I could barely breathe. Slowly, I leaned over the side of the bed, light trembling in my hand.

Something was there.

A hand pale, thin, trembling reaching out from underneath. The nails were cracked and dirty, scraping lightly against the floorboards.

I screamed, bolting for the door. But when I looked back the hand was gone.

And the mirror?

The cloth had fallen again. And reflected clearly on the glass was my bed… with someone still lying in it.
