Chapter 5 - a new hero is born part 5

Karrar flies to the last place where the ogre and Hanzo were, trying to see what happened, but finds nothing.

Karrar (thinking): Hmm… strange. What happened to them?

Suddenly, he hears an explosion and loud noises in the distance and decides to fly toward it.

Before he does, a man appears — Murtadha's father.

Murtadha's Father: "Wait a moment! I want to speak with you!"

Karrar: "?"

Murtadha's Father: "I don't know who you are or what you are, but I wanted to thank you for saving my son from that ogre. Is there anything I can do to repay you? Do you need help?"

Karrar pauses, considering his words.

---

Meanwhile, in Baghdad, Dr. Nirvan uses his computer to control the mechanical spheres. Since he's in a somewhat public place, two police officers approach and ask him to leave.

Dr. Nirvan pulls out a laser pistol and kills the officers.

Dr. Nirvan (thinking): I really hate it when someone interrupts my work. I need to find another place to work.

He sees a house and decides to enter. The door is locked, so he uses one of his tools to open it, then closes it behind him.

Dr. Nirvan (thinking): This seems like a comfortable place to work.

He sets up his computer and continues controlling the mechanical spheres.

What you need to know: this is no ordinary house. It's Mustafa and Fatimah's — Karrar's siblings.

Fatimah, hiding, sees him and calls Mustafa, who is at the gym.

---

Back in Diyala, the ogre, Hanzo, and the spheres are wreaking havoc. Suddenly, both Hanzo and the ogre feel a cold presence.

Hanzo: "He's here."

Karrar appears.

Karrar: "…Do we really have to do this? Can't we solve our problem through talking? I mean, you two had a conflict earlier and managed to cooperate. Can't you do the same with me?"

Hanzo: "You don't understand, boy. The three of us lived like kings in Redhar, each with our own society… until Glacior appeared and ruined everything. That's why we'll take revenge."

Karrar: "Have you ever considered that Glacior's actions might have been reasonable? Your actions in Redhar are based on harming others and forcing your strength upon them. Maybe if you had used your power and talents differently, it would have been better."

Dr. Nirvan: "Like what? Helping others? Helping those beneath us? People without talent or power? Should the weak have the same rights as the strong? Does that seem logical to you?"

Glacior (thinking): Karrar… these villains are corrupt in mind. Don't try to reason with them.

Karrar: "Fine."

He charges into battle. The mechanical spheres attack him. Karrar destroys three with his claws. The ogre punches him, then Hanzo is grabbed by the foot and thrown.

A sphere fires a laser at his back. Hanzo rises and slashes Karrar's eye, causing a gash and the loss of his eye.

Karrar spreads his wings and tries to fly. The ogre jumps and grabs Karrar by the legs, slamming him to the ground.

The three relentlessly beat him — spheres fire lasers, the ogre punches, Hanzo kicks. Karrar is badly injured but struggles to stand.

Dr. Nirvan: "Still resisting? You can't defeat the three of us. Nothing surpasses teamwork."

Karrar: "Cough… cough… You're right… that's why I didn't come alone."

A speeding car arrives, driven by Murtadha's father. He jumps out. The car hits the ogre, separating him, Hanzo, and the spheres from Karrar.

Gasoline leaks from the car. Murtadha's father throws a burning stick onto the fuel, exploding the car on the ogre.

---

Back in Baghdad, Mustafa arrives at the house, finds the door locked, breaks it, and enters.

He sees Dr. Nirvan.

Mustafa: "How dare you break into my house? Get out before I smash your face."

Annoyed, Dr. Nirvan pulls out a laser pistol and fires. Mustafa dodges, and shots hit various parts of the house. Mustafa approaches, disarms him, and punches him.

Dr. Nirvan: "…Fine. You want to fight like this? As you wish."

Dr. Nirvan blocks all of Mustafa's attacks and lands strong hits, making him bleed from the nose and fall. He moves to continue his work, but Mustafa rises.

Dr. Nirvan: "Haven't you had enough?"

Mustafa: "Not at all."

Dr. Nirvan: "Then I guess I'll have to kill you now."

Fatimah attacks, biting his hand. Dr. Nirvan is hurt, giving Mustafa a chance to punch him hard in the face, then another to the stomach. Mustafa grabs a dumbbell in the house and uses it to break Dr. Nirvan's back, finishing him off.

Mustafa: "I'm sorry you had to see this violence."

Fatimah: "It doesn't matter. The important thing is you're okay and alive."

Mustafa hugs his little sister and shuts down the computer controlling the spheres — no one controls them now.

---

Back in Diyala, the fight between Karrar and Hanzo continues. Karrar tries to block Hanzo's attacks, but Hanzo is too fast and cuts off Karrar's left arm.

Karrar (thinking): We really need to keep his swords away.

Glacior: "I have an idea."

Karrar spreads his wings and flies. He flaps strongly, creating a powerful wind attack that throws Hanzo off balance, dropping his swords. Karrar quickly grabs Hanzo by the foot, flies high, and slams him into the ground repeatedly until Hanzo is completely defeated.

Just when Karrar thinks he's done with the three, the ogre emerges from the flames, his face and part of his body deformed.

Murtadha's Father: "Are you kidding me? How is he still alive after that explosion?"

Karrar forms an ice hammer. The ogre raises his axe. Both charge at each other. Karrar dodges the axe attacks, then freezes the ogre's feet, anchoring him. He flies high and slams the hammer onto the ogre's head, knocking him down.

Karrar: "You know what they say… the bigger you are, the harder you fall."

Murtadha's father approaches:

Murtadha's Father: "Your arm is cut, and you have a gash on your face. You need to go to the hospital immediately!"

Karrar: "No one will treat me. People still think I'm a monster. Not everyone is smart like you to see I'm not. But don't worry — I have a power that regenerates me… and thanks for the help. I don't think I could've defeated these villains without you."

Karrar prepares to fly.

Murtadha's Father: "Wait… can you tell me your name?"

Karrar: "…You can call me Dragon Boy."

He flies off, heading back to Baghdad.

Karrar (thinking): After all this madness… I really need some rest. Maybe sleep for a year or two.

Glacior: "Wait… there's one last thing you need to do."

In a store in Diyala, bodybuilder Jabbar exits after buying whey protein. Dragon Boy appears.

Dragon Boy: "Hello, Jabbar. I'm here to ask a very simple favor — no reward. I want you to stop hitting your wife and son."

Jabbar: "What? Mind your own business. I treat my family as I want."

Dragon Boy: "When it comes to the innocent, I'm the first to intervene."

Jabbar: "Do you think you're a hero or something? You're just a freak. Now get out of my way."

Dragon Boy grabs Jabbar by the legs, flying high.

Jabbar (panicking): "Put me down! Put me down now!"

Dragon Boy: "First, promise me you'll treat your wife and son better."

Jabbar: "Fine! I won't hit them again. Now please, put me down!"

Dragon Boy releases him and returns to Baghdad, hiding. He transforms back into Karrar and goes home.

He finds the door broken and laser marks inside.

Karrar: "What happened???"

Mustafa: "An old man tried to break in, but I dealt with him. Why were you late?"

Karrar: "I saw the ogre and the spheres on the street… I got scared and hid. Later, when I heard they were defeated, my fear disappeared, and I returned."

Mustafa hugs Karrar: "It's okay. The important thing is you're safe. The only problem is that dragon-like freak is still loose."

Karrar: "Yes… definitely a problem."

Elsewhere, the police arrive and arrest Hanzo, the ogre, and Dr. Nirvan. The ogre is heavily shackled to prevent escape.

Karrar finally goes to sleep, getting the rest he deserves after a long day of action.

---

The next morning:

The alarm rings. Karrar turns it off.

Glacior: "Karrar… Karrar! Wake up, you'll be late for college!"

Karrar: "Oh my god… I thought the alarm was annoying before."

Glacior (laughing): "Haha. When it comes to annoying you, no one beats me."

Karrar gets up, washes his face, and dresses.

He passes his little sister, sad because one of her My Little Pony dolls is broken. He goes to the bathroom, makes an ice model of Unicron, and gives it to her.

Karrar: "I found this model yesterday in a store on my way back from college. But my worry about the ogre made me forget to give it to you."

Fatimah: "Wow! It's made of ice. Thank you, big brother!"

He passes Mustafa.

Mustafa: "Hmm… you woke up on time today. Strange. I wonder what made you change."

Karrar: "Everyone can change for the better."

Karrar leaves the house.

Glacior: "So… do you want to go to college the traditional way?"

Karrar (thinking): Traditional way? Where's the fun in that?

He hides, transforms into Dragon Boy, and flies to college.

Glacior: "Karrar… I know I asked this before, but… are you still agreeing to my offer? Being a hero isn't easy. There will be many challenges. It's not just about enemy strength. You'll sometimes have to get your hands dirty… choose who to save and who to leave… and face other difficult choices."

Karrar (thinking): "Glacior… if I have the ability to improve the world even by one percent, I will. I know there will be risks and challenges, but they'll be for a worthy goal. So let all criminals, killers, and corrupt rich people know — their evil ends now. A new hero has been born."

The End.
